    I'd love to hear about your experience with Play Ukulele Every Day so far. What does your warm up routine look like? Are you finding a few minutes to play every day? Is your practice focused?
    I'm excited to share more cool concepts with you in Day 3 and beyond and thank you so much for joining the community - Kevin

      I’ve been daily since 10/1/19 which is miraculous for me. My goal for 2020 is to have a structure where I master a few songs each month and fingerpicking patterns. I’m currently working on dust in the wind as my first fingerpicking song.

      kevin, can we use the back of our fingers nails to strum )meaning the fingers are bent in) ? A guitar player told me this. Is it correct?

    Hi Kevin, first I hope you will excuse me for my English... I am a French singer, for a few years I sang my songs acompanying my self at the piano, but I was tired of having to wear the pianos, it's so heavy ! So, I work my ukulele every day but I lack method because I learned all by gleaning lessons on the internet. Whenever I discover new chords or new rhythms I write new songs. Thanks so much Kévin for your teaching and, please, don't forget to pronounce well and not to speak too quickly !

    Thank you so much for this series, Kevin! It is my goal this year to play uke every day, and these basic techniques are really helpful!
    One quick question, for the second warmup, I can't help but using my thumb to strum down and index to go up. Is this considered a bad habit that I'd better correct or it's not a big problem?
    Thanks :)

    This series came along at just the right moment for me. I know if I don't play every day, I just go backwards. But I'm really busy at the moment, so it's tempting to let it go. But 5 minutes a day? No excuse! Regarding the index versus middle finger strum, I now realise I've been using the two together all along. Time to refine my action! And I have a question: my nails are shocking, always have been, just break, crack, peel to nothing, so I've been having fake nails stuck on to perform publicly. But now giving the poor things a rest, I'm finding I can actually still strum and pick, with my finger tips. Do you have a preference?

    • @beckywilliams9953
      @beckywilliams9953 4 года назад +1

      If I may give you a tip. Take a little vaseline and massage your hands with it every night make sure you go over your nails I have always have problems with my nails until I started doing that someone told me to do that and it's amazing how it works you have to do it every day
