Pretty cool because this is how it was back in the 80s. Syndicated stations would show these shows in the afternoon or on Saturday or Sunday mornings. So you had a variety of shows from different companies. When Cartoon network came about and these shows got released on DVD, many companies that owned the rights started hording these shows and didn't release them for over the air viewing or on other cable channels. It would be interesting to find out what they had to do to get the rights to shows all of these. If they were licensed from say WB and Universal directly or because these were packaged as their own shows long ago the rights were owned by someone else. For example a lot of the Loony Toons were sold to APP back in the 50s and that was what was often shown in syndication in the 80s, Warner Bro didn't own them.

Ever since the Toons channel was announced I’ve been getting flashbacks to the weekday morning blocks. Yes, I remember Hanna Barberra and Looney Tunes playing mostly on the local indy stations, but once Turner bought their rights they soon disappeared from everywhere else.

We had it in HD all the way back in 2003 tell the demise of Voom HD in 2008.. Being all the old school animations were done on film, all the transfers from film looked pretty good. Omg look at all the complaints in the fan groups about this so-called “botched launch”. Clearly people have no idea how television works. Especially for a network of this caliber, it’s absolutely amazing that they have even 1/4 of the coverage they have, and it’s only been three days! Most networks take YEARS to even get noticed, and some never made it at all.

Still hoping that a full power TV station in the Kansas City area picks up MeTV Toons.
I noticed that KGKC-LD will be picking it up, however that is a low power TV station & I can't pick it up where I am at, in Carrollton, MO, about 65mi Northeast of Kansas City, MO, unless the atmospheric conditions are just right.
I am using an outdoor TV antenna.
Guess that I'll have to get a FrndlyTV subscription if that doesn't happen.

I live in an apartment, so I must use an indoor antenna. I'm lucky to receive KCTV-5.1, and it's only about a half mile from me! Too many buildings around here. Outdoor antennas are prohibited. Techovoyager ) & 2 Kids WB shows such as Hysteria & Freakazoid , I already have my already working old-school retro antenna & terebi alongside my VCR & my new batch of blank VHS tapes ready for June 25th ! 🎉 Who else is ready for the launch of MeTV Toons ?

For me, I have a lot of picks (mostly DiC cartoons) but my number one choice is the Mario cartoons (mostly because of the fame they left behind from early RUclips). Mind saying that, several ex-Qubo shows considered "classics" are also on the list too (Babar, Rupert, Madeline, Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego, and the Filmation shows). The Pink Panther and Astro Boy would be nice additions too.
