Thanks for this video! I own an X100F. I used to shoot Nikon D-SLRs and stopped bringing them on trips because I got tired of walking around all day with ~5lbs of camera + lens hanging off my neck. For travel, I tried the better point & shoot cameras for their smaller size but found their speed and tactile (non-menu) controls lacking. As smartphones got better cameras, they replaced my P & S but still couldn’t match the speed, control or overall quality of a D-SLR. Last year, I realized Fuji’s X-T20 mirrorless system might be (for me) the optimal blend of all those attributes, including a compact size. I sold all my Nikon and P&S gear, bought an X-T20 and rediscovered the joy of photography. Once I was into the X system, I kept hearing about how great the X100 series was. At first, I didn’t get the point of the X100/S/T/F with their fixed focal length and fairly high price. Then I tried one and fell in love. The X100F has the brains, feel and image quality of the X-T20 but is even more compact, has a silent leaf shutter, ISO dial and full complement of rear buttons. Most importantly, you can truly take it anywhere all the time without ever agonizing over which lens(es) to bring. I still have the X-T20 with a few of Fujinon’s more compact lenses for my “serious” 😂 photography and I still completely adore it. Yet, the X100F comes with me to more places so it gets more use. It’s also my backup when shooting an ultrawide, telephoto or long exposures with the X-T20. Anyway, I completely understand why you say the X100F is close to perfect. Like other commenters, I’d like to see weather sealing in the next version. Also a flippy screen for low and high angle shots. And sharper images at F2 and close distances. But then we’d lose most reasons (other than lenses) to consider other cameras in the Fuji lineup... It will be interesting to see what comes next!
Just picked up my X100F in brown after using a friends X100T. Biggest improvement for me is that all the buttons are shifted to the right side on the back of the camera. So much easier one handed operation. This camera just makes you want to create. I love it. BTW your shots are amazing.
I come back to this video so frequently. The editing + music is beautifully interwoven. Not to mention how gorgeous each shot is. A great review too, I’m thinking of getting one
I recently moved from SLR to almost exclusively shooting on a Fuji x100F and I’m glad to see the rest of the photography community agree that it’s a wonderful camera. Great review and beautiful photos!
I bought fujifilm x100f because I watched your x100t review and I was so in love with fujifilm cameras since then. Your photos are nice and inspired. :)
Nice video. Your photographs are great indeed. You really pay attention to composition. Others just spray and pray and call it street photography. Greetings from Brazil.
The Fuji X100F is amazing! It’s especially great for persons wanting to work their photography skills. The features offered are amazing and the quality of build is fantastic. I love the optical and electronic viewfinder feature. You can customise the camera like you want. I feel liberated in thinking about the photos to take as the camera makes it seamless for you. A camera that will suit 90% of situations. Get this camera and you will get your love of photography back. I love being to use the Fuji film feature which replicates the Fuji films in the pre-digital era. Buy the special Fuji case for it to make it safe, and a second battery. Not suited to long shots situations and macro. Does have a simple electronic zoom feature which can help in some situations. Good for short video sequences.
This is a special camera because it's great fun to use, can be carried anywhere and gets great results in a wide range of situations. Mine goes everywhere with me, sometimes getting stuffed in a bag with shopping, and has never let me down. There are cameras which will do specific tasks better but as a camera that I will carry and use regularly nothing comes close to the X100f.
I shoot a lot of film with my Nikon FM and sometimes I imagine it being this camera! I love using Nikon's and all that, but seeing the X100 series in camera shops I get this weird feeling of wanting it and knowing that it's the perfect camera! The same feeling when I first picked up my FM.
I'm an analog shooter but I would seriously consider this if I ever make the decision to try digital photography. I'm so used to having the ability to control aperture and shutter speeds through physical dials and these looks like a great option.
I have had my Fuji X30 since 2015 and I love it. It shoots at only 12Mp and it does not have a big sensor, but I love shooting with it because I know the camera and it gives me the shots I want. Brilliant in manual mode and tons of features and again, the incredible construction. I have Dslr's but i use them for macro and specialized shots, but the X30 is ALWAYS with me. Fuji's are brilliant and well built and if I had more money I would only use them. I simply cannot afford the lenses and to be honest I think that when you shoot with a fixed lens camera of a prime lens, you learn faster and spend more time in planning you shots. Even though the X30 comes with a 4x zoom, I always shoot at 28mm.
yoooo its like the color burst when u take a photo its really good, i watched too many fujifilm camera reviews cause im planning to buy a camera for a hobby ur channel is the one that im subbing.
Great video man & beautiful shots!, loved my x100T for the past 2 years and took it everywhere and like you have taken some of my favorite images! I just sold to finally purchase the F and then started looking at other options such as XT2 because of the tilt screen, larger evf which I found using most of the time..and also the easier to use iso dial etc. I really feel the images from the newer sensor in the x100F are much more crisp and detailed compared to the x100T.
I just purchased this camera and I can't wait to play with it. The images you're getting look like the amazing colors that I can get form my film camera! Very exciting.
I love my X100F. Took it to Europe and got some beautiful shots. I’ve heard the new V is even better, but I am going to stay with my F. Very nice review and great photos.
Great to see the photo walk in Brighton, some of the back streets are a bit of a shock. I love my original X100 for this purpose, just did the same in Rye, a very photogenic place. I love the character of the shots, not really bothered about how sharp it is, it is a bit like a Leica, the work has a distinctive look. Often tempted to upgrade but would only do so if this one failed. Thanks for the nice blend of output, how is the dog ? All the best, Charles.
Love the X-T2. I swerved the x100F though, because I used to bring only a 28mm traveling. It was perfect for 99% of stuff. But I’m still gutted that I had nothing longer than a 50mm to capture mountains, volcanoes, islands in the ocean. The compression was lost and the wide focal range pushed details away. If they ever release a 70mm teleconverter that isn’t soft. I’d get one exclusively. Even if it cost a 2 stop light loss.
Thanks you this Video just got me much more motivating to start using my new X100f that I purchased from top 10 2018 camera because of simplicity. After not being involved and photography since high school (50 years). This was helpful. I think this is funny after having this for a week I did not know where all the auto focuses were until you showed me.
your pictures are wonderful. soul is the important part of taking pictures no matter it is a human or a alley, front store, gumball machine or a gull. i was long thinking which compact camera i should i buy but i think this is my camera after your review. thanks for the examples/shots.
Thanks for the great video! I was recently introduced to Street Photography and just added a 100F to go along with my X-T2 Question; what do you do with your street photos? Is there a market for them or is it strictly for fun?
Good overview and nice images. Manual dials make a difference. Was it the same seagull following you around 😁? Noticed that you (still?) close your left eye when shooting. With practice you can train your left eye/brain to favor your right eye when looking through the viewfinder, so you won’t have to squint. You’ll soon be more comfortable that way. Great photo opportunities in the bike shop - hope you took more images, or will return to that venue.
Great review - enjoyed it. I have the x100f and I get great pics but often not as sharp as I had hoped. I have unboxed and used straight from the word go, so perhaps I need to set it up a bit better? But all in all i love this camera and goes with me most places over and above my Canon 5d Mk4.
Thanks for an awesome treview! I used to have a T and now am looking forward to getting an F. Quick question. I saw that you editied these as raw files. What were your internal camera color settings? Also did you use a specific feel to edit these? This is the exact look I love and want to learn and grow into. Thanks for all your help!
All I want is the perfect camera... cfr The camera conspiracies ! The X100F is a lovely camera, I using also one of first camera X-PRO1 + the Fujinon 23mm f/2 permanently attached to it ! Really love them. Rumble in Brighton, love this place too for sure. Regards from Belgium.
I bought the X100T the first week it came out. Fantastic camera. I still own it , with its 50,000 shutter count. I have an extensive array of cameras, and this might well be my favorite all around shooter.
Were these straight out of the camera? or they were edited? They look really nice and have been considering buying this camera. btw great info and video!
2022 and i really want to get this camera, but its not so easy to find one for a good price as prices got up and the X100V is sold out like everywhere. I will find one for sure, but have to wait bit. Thanks for review!
Loved that mate. I had the x100s and adored it. Thanks so much for selling the ‘t’ to me. Mrs will be thrilled 😂 hope to bump into you on the streets. 📷😊
Great video! I have the 100S and the 100F. The S was perfect but the F had one specific feature I wanted... wireless printing to Instax. I like to hand out prints to people I photograph. All the other upgrades are certainly appreciated though, particularly the improved battery life! Wonder what Fuji will do to improve this line? If they do bring out another 100 series camera I hope they can make it WR. Other than that I can’t think of anything on it that I would like to change.
Looks like I've been using this camera for some 2 years already. So before I had eos 30d and this fuji is amazing, really really nice camera. I like how discrete it is and how intuitive it feels, silent shutter sound. But as any tool it has some learning curve. First one was EV stops dial... Sometimes you just take camera out of pocket and shoot, and well ... That ring turns in the pocket.
Pound for pound/dollar for dollar this is probably my favourite camera. I sold mine when I got the X-T2 and have been concentrating on buying lenses, but when the next X100 iteration comes out I'll be sorely tempted to get one. They're just so fun to use.
Worth mentioning that there is a Wide Conversion Lens and Tele Conversion Lens that give the X100 series a bit of versatility (28mm and 50mm respectively).
Hi Pablo enjoyed you videos on both the x100t and f. I originally got the t second hand for a great price. I now have the f as well and I thought your review is pretty much spot on. I find shooting with either infectious. I also have the Xpro2 which allows me to use the other superb Fuji glass. 16m f 1.4 and 35 f1.4 both superb. So the Xpro2 and the X100 f are my dream combo. The XT3 seems to get all the press but the X100 and Xpro just have something I can’t describe which makes me want to got out and make images. Keep up the rest content👍🏻
Really nice pictures! I've got a X100F myself. But I was wondering, were these just the jpegs straight out of camera and in wich film simulation? Or were these edited? Thanks!
I don't know what he used, but you can download a free software called Fujifilm X RAW Studio that lets you easily try all the different film simulations and settings on your PC (camera needs to be connected), so it's very easy to create the presets that you like.
About things that make the camera "disappear" as you say around 6 minutes in... I own both an X100F and a Canon 6D classic. Although I love both of them (and they both have their place), I have to admit that the Fuji is much more complicated and confusing than the Canon. The Canon is the one that truly disappears in my hands. The Fuji only disappear once I've set it up correctly for what I currently want to shoot, but it can be very confusing otherwise.
My favorite camera ever was my 5D. I broke it in January '18, and 'upgraded' to a 6D. After lugging the 6D to Europe for vacation I bought an X100F and put the 6D up for sale. Now I carry the X100F and a Minolta XG-1 in a little Domke bag. Traveling the next two weeks so we'll see if I made the right decision...Though I already know the answer.
I had the original version when it came out and shot with it exclusively for 3 years. Fabulous camera. However I finally sold it because it lacked proper manual focus. I replaced with a Leica M8 and then later a Leica M9. I need that focus distance scale at glance. Zone focusing ftw.
Hey Pablo I was wondering what the settings you used for this shoot were, I always have some trouble shooting in such harsh sunlight and avoiding blown out highlights or extremely dark shadows. Great video btw the shots you took were beautiful
Fantastic video, I think you've pretty much sold it to me. It's between this and the X-E3..... I used to live in Brighton and remember the seagulls everywhere, as evidenced by the number ending up in your photographs (assuming it wasn't the same one stalking and photobombing you).
It’s a great little camera. I couldn’t refuse one. However, given that I already have an interchangeable mirrorless camera, this purchase at the price of a good lens is a bit difficult to justify. Yes, the camera looks and feels amazing, I love the rangefinder style and the Fuji colours. But I do not think that it is a “necessity” for someone who already owns a good interchangeable lens camera. However, let me point out that your photographs look so amazing. I absolutely love them. Is there any chance that you will make tips/tutorial videos in the future? I look forward to that.
Hi, I really enjoyed this video, it has given me a dilemma though. I am saving for an xt4, but this seems to be a great cheaper alternative? I love the smaller size, but I also love the xt4 as it looks great and can imagine it would feel great to hold. As a novice street photographer, what would you recommend. Quality of image is simply the most important thin.
Great photos, but also beautiful cinematography, especially inside the bike shop! Maybe do a longer shoot inside the bike shop with that beautiful cinematography? I have had the X100S (second hand for dirt cheap) for 9 months and couldn't be more happier with it. It has allowed me to take shots that otherwise would have been impossible to get. In the near future I will definitely upgrade to the X100F (black model), if one comes along second hand and for a nice price ;) But for now my Fuji is here to stay.

Hello from the future haha, your X100V wish list was spot on XD 🤣
You're one of the few camera reviewers that actually takes good photos lol
great review btw
Ikr very rare on youtube lol
yeah, Kai W is the worst
Wojtek Kleniewski Don't forget Chris Niccolls!
jup kai is the worst photographer together with ken rockwell
thats fucking true! he is such a talented photographer

Best review of this camera I’ve seen. Love the fact that you included the images from your outing in the video. Thank you.
Like the way how you capture your images, after watching your videos i always like to go out with my camera
Always excited too watch your camera review, so different from other ones that only talks about specs instead of actually taking camera to test it.
Nice video. Your photographs are great indeed. You really pay attention to composition. Others just spray and pray and call it street photography. Greetings from Brazil.
'spray and pray' indeed. great comment

I've been researching cameras for a couple days now, and your video was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Thank you so much, keep up the great content!

I've got the FujiX100F and love it. Takes great photos and it's always in my handbag I carry it everyday.

Been loving mine for about a year now and I feel it’s largely responsible for reigniting my passion for photography
Love most of Your shots! You clearly have an eye for komposition!!
Thanks for the video.
Love mine, I am looking at the XT2 now that’s been dropped in price as a second camera so I can change lenses. Great review of the 100f.
He's good at filling the frame! For sure he knows what I mean. Kudos!
I'm an analog shooter but I would seriously consider this if I ever make the decision to try digital photography. I'm so used to having the ability to control aperture and shutter speeds through physical dials and these looks like a great option.

Yes! I've own every X100 series camera at some point. It's been the perfect travel camera and complement to my DSLR kit.
I have a x100t, I love it. The only thing is sometimes I wish the autofocus could be slightly fast and accurate
I love my X100F. Took it to Europe and got some beautiful shots. I’ve heard the new V is even better, but I am going to stay with my F. Very nice review and great photos.
Two of the things that convinced me to upgrade from the T were the bigger battery and the 24mp sensor. Beautiful camera.
I own X100T and it is amazing. Thanks for sharing your thought with this video.
It's always lovely to see your home town on youtube. Brighton is always in my heart!
Thank you so much for this review, absolutely spectacular camera and way of showing its features! Cheers
Thanks you this Video just got me much more motivating to
start using my new X100f that I purchased from top 10 2018 camera because of
simplicity. After not being involved and photography since high school (50 years). This was helpful. I think
this is funny after having this for a week I did not know where all the auto focuses
were until you showed me.
I borrowed a friends X100F, fell in love with it and mine arrives tomorrow. Now my XT-2 has a little brother.
your pictures are wonderful. soul is the important part of taking pictures no matter it is a human or a alley, front store, gumball machine or a gull. i was long thinking which compact camera i should i buy but i think this is my camera after your review. thanks for the examples/shots.
Hi, great content anw! You’re have a sucks good photos, anw, where you buy strap camera? That looks so cool
Thanks for the great video! I was recently introduced to Street Photography and just added a 100F to go along with my X-T2 Question; what do you do with your street photos? Is there a market for them or is it strictly for fun?
Loving your reviews Pablo, nice to see you teamed up with MPB as i buy from them and find them excellent
Nice pictures!! Thanks also for letting us know about MPB... awesome deals to be had!
Great review - enjoyed it. I have the x100f and I get great pics but often not as sharp as I had hoped. I have unboxed and used straight from the word go, so perhaps I need to set it up a bit better? But all in all i love this camera and goes with me most places over and above my Canon 5d Mk4.
Awesome review man! And nice pics! You have the eye for capturing life
Loved your sample pics through out the video. Good sense for framing!!!
I'm new to the fujifilm family and the X100F is my take everywhere camera. Love it!
thanks for the video, love the photos you took by the way
I really love the pictures you took inside that bike shop. Great video overall as well!
Great image edits. Care to share some of your tips like which film simulation recipes you use and stuff?
Great video! I've been saving up to but this camera for the last year. Can't wait to get my hands on it!
Love the review and couldn't agree more with what you felt when using that camera. Great photos to prove it's worth!
I wish every camera review was like this. I love this. subscribing for more!
Your video did remind a lot about my memories in Brighton.
your videos are therapy to me
Loved this review, would also have liked to hear about your experience with battery life.
Hey great video! What film simulation did you use for these pics??
What a fantastic review. The style you've done this in is different from what I've watched before. Subscribed. Oh, and, I'm getting mine tomorrow!
Hey Pablo. I'm enjoying your channel and your pictures. Can you tell me where i can buy your neckstrap from your x100 series?
Looks like I've been using this camera for some 2 years already. So before I had eos 30d and this fuji is amazing, really really nice camera. I like how discrete it is and how intuitive it feels, silent shutter sound. But as any tool it has some learning curve. First one was EV stops dial... Sometimes you just take camera out of pocket and shoot, and well ... That ring turns in the pocket.
Your photographs are a street work classroom in themselves. Superb work, and a good, useful review.
Pound for pound/dollar for dollar this is probably my favourite camera. I sold mine when I got the X-T2 and have been concentrating on buying lenses, but when the next X100 iteration comes out I'll be sorely tempted to get one. They're just so fun to use.
Absolutely brilliant review pablo, excellent street photographer as well. Do you work for MPB
Worth mentioning that there is a Wide Conversion Lens and Tele Conversion Lens that give the X100 series a bit of versatility (28mm and 50mm respectively).
I can just listen to you talk all day omg
Very cool video! Just wondering--were these shots SOOC, or edited in post? Bravo!
Thank you. My X100F and my 70d has taught me alot from your channel. Thank you!!
Tunti Turpaan Yes, I use Lightroom to edit. But his tones are really nice. 😃
These photos are all edited raws:)
Pablo Strong Thanks Pablo. Really nice photos!
Jonas Vandermeiren thank you :)
What length is your camera strap? What brand is it? Matches well! Great shots!!
I really love the tone on this camera. It's so pretty
lovely photos man and a good review .you didnt mention anything about the picture quality or the performance of the camera.
Great video!! Curious as to the length you chose for your camera strap?! Thanks in advance!
Zone focusing ftw.
really beautiful camera and photos you've taken (edited and the place also! 💯⭐😃
Nice review thanks. I've been down the A6400 rabbit-hole for 3 weeks, now I'm down the Fuji X range rabbit-hole. Eek!
This is the review video that got me decided on buying my x100f. I was choosing between xe-3 and x100f.
I do love Brighton. Interesting video, thanks.
Where did you get the strap from? Great review video btw!
Gosh. I've been resisting this camera range for so long. I've used the X20 which I fell in love with until it physically broke :)
I like your esthetic sensibility! Great photos!
I have had mine since it came out and it is by far the best purchase I have ever made, its the perfect camera. Ripper Review Mate and killer snaps!!!
Wonderful video! Curious, what brand of camera strap is this?
Great review..... i use the x100f my self and I’m very happy with it... great photos by the way.. //freddie
film is not dead !!
Great video! I got a x100t because of your videos, later sold it and regretted it now I am looking into getting another x100t or the x100f.
mariotheotaku i know the feeling..
Nice video buddy! Where did you get the strap?
