    Perfect as my Empire cannons are arriving tomorrow and I need painting guidance for my Nuln shooty army. I would prefer if they were more garish like say Altdorf but I'm painting them according to the lore.

      You can add more red and white to suit your own taste, you can always make your own lore for it.

    I had an Empire Army back in 1999. Gave it to a friend who was a much better painter a few years back, and he's brought them back to life splendidly!

      Sounds like it’s time to steal them back then 😆

    I love the old empire artillery bits, I rate the entrenchments on bases - I think I'll nab that!

    Fantastic toot, Stu. Be sure an give us a showcase of the whole army when you think its presentable.

    Stuart, you are the man!!! All your spectacular Empire content is hitting literally as I've got three vintage Warhammer armies on the table all being rehabilitated for the Old World! In fact not more than a week ago I built that very same Empire Hellblaster Volley Gun, early 2000s packaging.
    Most of the armies are late 90s, early 2000s plastics, the time of 5th and 6th edition, with some metals here and there.
    Can't tell you how inspiring and fun this is!!

      Thank you 😊
      I have a soft spot for those 6th edition plastics, I’ll I’m going to have to source some on eBay.

    These sort of projects are great fun...I built something similar back in the day with raised earthworks and cocktail sticks as defensive stakes

    Hey Stu, these look ace! Small suggestion: it could look interesting to pour some resin or water effects in the buckets to represent water. Cheers!

      Thank you. I’d run out of UV resin or I’d have done that. Will probably go back and do that once I’ve picked some up.

    Lovely paint job as usual Stu. Clever idea with the entrenchment bases, the old forge world ones looked very cool but that kind of price is definitely a bit too steep assuming you can even find them.
    Looking forward to seeing your next video on Nuln 😀

    I do like a good little diorama or unit filler. Great work.
    The old Forge World emplacements are great. I keep looking at that exact once every few weeks, but it is just too much for something to look pretty when I have other hobby things to buy.

      Yeah it just feels too much for what it is as well, lovely pieces but you can see how they’ve been sculpted with sand etc and there’s so many cheaper options.

    Lovely artillery pieces, crew and basing. Lots of useful ideas and tips as always 👍. Warlord Games do some nice resin pieces for their Pike & Shotte artillery that could make interesting artillery defences.

    Stu, I’m very much enjoying your TOW material and have done multiple viewings of the Empire material. Question, do you ever matt spray the pieces once done? I do/have and have stopped gloss coating plastics before matt spraying but I’m not sure I can let go!

    • @MiniatureRealms
      @MiniatureRealms  4 дня назад +1

      Thank you 🙂
      I don’t often varnish plastics as all, I don’t like the way it changes the colour. For metals I do for protection, but often after base coating, so the final layers aren’t effected.

    Can we even pre-order Helblaster volley guns? I haven't seen them or the landsknecht

    • @MiniatureRealms
      @MiniatureRealms  4 дня назад

      No they’re not in the first wave, imagine they will come in wave 2.
