My painting has evolved into essentially the same techniques you use with zenithal and transparencies combined with selective use of traditional paints. I can't tell you how much your channel liberated my painting and elevated my painting quality with less effort than I used to do struggling with the old fashioned base coat, wash shade, and highlights.... Painting armies are pure fun now thanks to you!!
I'm new to your channel and absolutely love your content. I'm working my way through all your videos and have been learning a lot, and getting inspired about the Old World theme. Thank you for taking the time and commitment to producing these videos, and I look forward to your next one.
Really cool project! I have an idea that may give You some extra points - rune of courage covers veteran and is much cheaper. And if You havea wizard on horse, it could fit in with a unit of outriders - just give him Squintsoffen's Marvelous Magnifier and lore of Illusion for the Glittering robe spell - together with their skirmish rule it will give your opponent -2 to hit when they shoot back at them. I will be eyeing this project and wish You good luck!!!
Really looking forward to them im currently doing a nuln army my self but watching a force come together is the best 👌 can't wait to see updates when they drop 😊
Loved the Video. Making my own Nuln/Wissenland list inspired by TW3 And converting my own Elspeth von Draken on foot. Great to see there's a place for a wizard on foot in these kinds of lists as the lack of lv 4's really put me off initially.
What an interesting project I'll be looking forward to future installments! I first attended a tournament in 2002 Bloodstorm organised by the Northern Wasters gaming group with a Dwarf army and I came 2nd in the painting losing out to Greg Wiltshire's Beastmen which where later featured in White Dwarf so I didn't feel bad...I also won 'Most Sporting Player' I went to their Christmas Carnage event with a mounted Slannesh army and later attended a GW tournament in Dublin with a Chaos Minotaur army. Theming an army is great fun! 😀
Sounds like you have a decent core army Stu. For me though, a Nuln army isn't a Nuln army without at least two cannon, two mortars and a Hellblaster, and at least one doorstop of a unit of handgunners, everything else is negotiable 😃
Your painting is top tier. Let me endorse @TalkingOldWorld . He has deep tactics and wins games with them against noobs and veterans. @CreakyGamers is a veteran in the AU/NZ that subtly has a wealth of experience with deployment and Turn 1 maneuvering with fluffy armies.
I'm building a shooty Nuln army and I have resigned to the fact that I will stick to the lore and paint them according to the lore even though I don't like their uniforms that much. Maybe I'll grow to like it.
Especially with the Empire you have some heraldic freedom to create your own colour scheme. They could be the personal army of some noble from Nuln, or a regiment from one of Nuln's districts, mercenaries under the colours of their employer, some other province adopting the Nuln style army while buying the expensive cannons from Nuln... loads of possibilities really if you are creative.

Thanks for having me on Stu, it was great to get to talk some Empire!
Was an absolute pleasure, thank you for all your help 🙂
I'm slowly getting back into the 'Hobby' and found the discussion fascinating

Thank you very much, so kind of you to say 😊
23:24 the painted artillery with their basing are just excellent! top notch!
Thank you 😊
Looks like a really fun army. Following these army challenge videos.
Cheers Don, hope you’re keeping well.

Super keen to see it come together i recommend more vids on it tbh. really look forward to following this.
Thank you. I may do a video at mid point (as well as all the planned ‘shorts’).

This is great, I wish I could like it more than just a thumbs up!
Thank you 😊

I love the sound of that theme! I do agree though, wish I could have a level 4 for defence.
Can’t wait to see this army Stu! Will come find ya for a chat
Thanks mate, and make sure you do 🙂
Great seeing you both on a video, my 2 favorite Old World channels mixed together
😊 More Ed coming up very soon…

I love doing themed projects, potentially one of my favourite things to do in the hobby.
Really interesting, going to watch more of your channel and now thinking about doing old world but think I’ll wait for beast men or elves
Thank you. I don’t think you will have too long to wait for those armies now.
@ hopefully something in the preview this week
@markduffy4096 Yes absolutely, I’ll be very surprised if the next army isn’t announced.
Best of luck with this! Sounds like you’ve got your priorities sorted, and you have to love a solid army display! Keep it coming!
Thank you 🙂
Awesome! Good luck with the project!
May I ask where you bought your movement trays for the units? They look very good!
Thank you. 🙂
They’re from Kolat-creations on eBay
Really good to see a video like this. Thanks for the content
Thank you 😊
Best of luck with the project! Hope you get it ready in time and hit all those goals!
Thank you 🤞😊

Sounds pretty reasonable to me!
…and thank you 🙂

Thank you, I’ll make sure to check both of those out 🙂.
Love it. Great illustration of how “hobby” and “competitive” Old World are much more compatible than I know some people fear.
Thank you, I’m really glad that came across 😊
I know it's not on your army list but would love to see a tutorial for those Demigryphs
Very much on my list for the future 🙂
we nead a room tore and to see all your minis
I’ve done them in the past (might be way back on the videos list though), I’ll be sure to do one again one day 🙂

I hope so, I’m sure they will look great.

Yeah it seems to be a new thing, I only know about it when I’m told.
@@MiniatureRealms Yeah, sorry, my anger wasn't meant to be directed to you, but at this youtube policy that doesn't give an option :D
