  • After disassembling and cleaning the Harley Davidson CV Carburetor I picked up on eBay I am rebuilding the carburetor which will go on the 1990 Sportster with an All Balls Racing Carburetor Rebuild Kit. Replacing the jets, the mixture screw, rebuilding the accelerator pump, replacing all the gaskets and o-rings. New screws for the float bowl, accelerator pump cover, and the top cover.
Watch that little o-ring gasket on the accelerator pump cover, it'll get away from you :)

Everything you need including jets, gaskets, o-rings, accelerator pump components, emulsion tube, thumb adjustable mixture screw, float needle, and replacement screws. Great kit with quality components.

Good basic rebuild kit with quality gaskets, float needle, and o-rings but no jets, mixture screw, or other hardware. Good kit if you just need to replace the gaskets, o-rings, float needle, and rebuild the accelerator pump.
I installed a 48 pilot jet and a 180 main jet. May need to make adjustments to these when I tune the bike, but this gives me a starting point.

If i could make a quick suggestion, there was no mention of checking the float level and the volume was a little low. Otherwise, that was a very informative video, thank you sir.

Should gas come out of the bottom drain tube? Without draining it intentionally, obviously. Or is it an overflow?
