I've loved the Sony 35 2.8 pancake back then on my original A7. In fact, it was the one lens that was always on my camera, and was instrumental in making a career out of this. I dearly miss it, I should probably pick up this Samyang to give it a try again. At least that A7 is still here. Cheers from Germany, love the way you go about these videos!
Thank you, I appreciate that! and yeah this setup is so compact it's great to take it everywhere, plus the Samyang is reasonably priced, I think you should give it a go!
I gotta say I LOVE the color grading you did for this video in the beginning. The green is so green and black so black. Unless it’s not color graded? Please tell me
@@gabrielbailey802 Wow that’s a steal! I have the sony 35mm on “permanent loan” and I love the small size but haven’t been using it as much but after watching your video I’m gonna be bringing my zve1 around with me more often. Great video and keep up the good work!
The Samyang is a Sony FE Mount lens, and it works perfectly. I use the Sigma MC-11 to convert canon lenses to Sony. It works perfectly with Sigma lenses, but it doesn't work with Canon in video mode.

Thank you, very kind! Yes all shot in Slog3 and then colour graded in Final Cut Pro
Any reason why you chose the samyang over the sony 35 f2.8?
great question! Sony is slightly bigger, and I found a deal on the Samyang one for around £100, whereas Sony seemed to be at least twice as expensive

Does the autofocus work in video with the canon lens?
