Basically for the limited banner it is wise to have 120 red nucleus b4 starting the banner and even if you win the 50% chance on the 80th pull you will need to pull 40 more so as to get the 120 red currency to buy another copy or guarantee the character if you did not win the 50% chance if you don’t have 120 summons I will advise you not to start summoning on the limited banner becos from the look of things the red currency will be converted to gold currency at the end of the banner and you do not want that.
Why should I need to pull 40 more after the won 50/50? Yeah I know, I can have C1 of the limited charakter, but I can safe my 40 red nucleus for the next event right?

Depending on your priorities (i.e. you really like the current limited character/weap), you may be inclined to just get the duplicate for the character/weapon you're summoning for so as to not waste the red tokens. On the other hand, if you don't care about stuff like that, then yeah just save your red nucleus and accumulate extra gold tokens for the standard banner instead.
Great explanations of the different currency. I still don't mind the system because even if you don't get lucky you can still pity buy the weapon/character from the shop. But as it has been stated definitely is good to have enough saved to reach 120 pity for the focused banners for sure. Thanks for the video!
Can only buy the weapon during the time limit on the limited banner. once the time is up your currency converts to gold tokens and the option to purchase the limited weapon dissapears!
What I love about this is. It’s a new game all the characters are gonna be new to me so I don’t think I’ll have the “I need another new character cuz I’m bored” so hopefully I will be able to save up actually for characters I like vs just needing a new character for something to do.

Some adds : Lin is a particular char/weap that is not going to be added on standard banner (at least no like the others one, maybe after one year or something who knows...) same as collab chars. That is for CN servers ofc, we don't know what they'll do for global. You gain more token when pulling already maxed(full stars) weapons. 1 for every SR maxed weapon and 10 for every SSR weapon you pull. For the SSR it will be more for spenders ofc but the SR ones are going to be for almost everyone after some times and you are garanty 1 sr or ssr per 10 pulls.. so after some time the garanty for limited char is much more 110 than 120. There were some interesting skins for mc (customed char) available with black crystal, so if you are not that much into meta and like skins etc.. maybe you'll want to save some black crystal for that. (there is free ones too and money ones) Standard (starting ones at least) chars/weapons can be droped on world boss, with low rate ofc but that something interesting.
with black nucleous its 0.3%, simple math: 1 pull is 0.3% chance= 0.003. so 1% chance of getting ssr is 1% which is 0.01, so 0,01/0,003= 3.33 pulls you need for 1% chance pull and 100% is *100 which is 333. So in general you will get 3 ssr from a 1000 dark purple pulls. Just as mentioned in video.
For those who would inevitably mention Genshin in one way or another, in comparison to ToF's gacha (limited character banners specifically) ToF's are more forgiving and a tad bit more generous. since in Genshin if: Your luck sucks and rng decides to screw you, it would take you to pity 80-85 pulls before a five star appears, you lose the 50/50? Well goodluck with another 80-85 pulls(worst case scenario) if you're lucky you could get the guaranteed w/in the next 10-40 pulls but then again this ain't guaranteed to happen for everyone. About constellations, in ToF come what may you would get the limited banner weapon(or a copy of it if you already have it) 100% guaranteed if you pull 120 times as mentioned in the video. However in Genshin for the same thing to happen you basically need all the blessings of RnG gods to get the limited 5* character to C1 or higher constellations within 120 pulls lol.
Hey, you just described my luck on the Kazuha banner. Missed soft pity, got QiQi at 80, got back to 64. Kazuha stayed a Ronin without a home on my account. Looking forward to ToF right now as I have lost soft pity more times than I have won the 50/50, only got 2 5* wins prior to hitting soft pity, and I have played since 2.2. Farming primos just feels pointless for me after that string of BS.
You summed up Genshin pretty accurately. What I would like to know is how generous ToF is with its premium currency for a low spender (meaning $20 a month like a sub-based game)? In Genshin, I get TONS of free Primos so I can get roughly every 3rd rate-up unit pretty consistently. What's up with ToF? How many of the rate-ups can I get just spending $20 a month and obviously doing all the dailies I have to every day?

Just understanding that the weapons come with character skins, is a huge piece of the puzzle for me. But I'm having a hard time imagining the summon pool if every weapon has its own character. Also i don't fully know all the rarities.. Is it R, SR, SSR? So most of the time we're getting R characters? Or how does that work.. Because that sounds like a lot of characters. In genshin if there was a character for every 3* and 4* weapon the roster would be much more massive and I just can't imagine that
Pretent characters dont exist for this part. You summon R, SR and SSR weapons. Black neucleas sometime only drop weapon upgrade material. When you summon a dupe R weapon it turns into upgrade mats There are 4 R weapons - they are useless and most wont use them past the first few hours (except the fire bow maybe for puzzles) There are 5 SR weapons - a few of them arent bad and can be used early - mid game There are 9 SSR weapons (more on CN now) - these will be your main weapons that you use later in the game. Now for the character part. When u summon an SR or SSR weapon you get their "character" as a skin. R weapons dont give skins You equip 3 weapons at a time. When u swap weapons it doesnt swap charaters. U just chose the skin u want to play as and that charater will use all 3 weapons. Hope that helped

Awesome video! something you didn't cover is how you get the dark crystals, I imagine it's like primos in Genshin, so not especially regularly. I did notice though that they have a $5 monthly sub which gives 100, which is actually slightly better than Genshins 90 primos on the welkin, something i'd seriously consider if the rates are similar to primos from other sources other than this. The Welkin in genshin is 100% worth bc it close to doubles your primo collection over the course of the month.

They r only used on the event limited banner. It also has a non-resetting 80 pity and 50% chance for the event limited SSR when u get an SSR. There these things that have 2 kinds, red and yellow. Red ‘thingies’ r given 1 per summon on the event banner and can be used in the shop to buy the event limited SSR during its time period for 120. But r converted into the yellow 1s after the event ends. The yellow 1s on the other hand only come from the gold nucleus and black nucleus summons and r 1 per summon as well as can be used to buy permanently available SSRs in the shop. And if any1 reads this b4 even finishing the vid, just watch the damn vid. He does a way better job of explaining it and idk if I’m even understanding it right.
Question, do i have to use the character summon skin when welding the weapon or can i use it with my base character? ive seen how in depth the ToF character creator is and im the kind of person that can spend hours designing one, i dont want to put that much effort if im going to end watching some other character most of the time.
But I think it would be wise to start playing with the characters first? Because you gain friendship points which gives the weapon additional passives upon reaching a certain point for friendship or smth. Might be completely wrong so if anyone knows let me know
so if my genshin brain understood gold/black balls are like the permanent banner red is limited and chips are like artifacts (its easier for my friends to unerstand this bc im supposed to explain the game for em cus they are dumb )
i like the gatcha system they have in this game im used to Genshins over priced pulls so this is fair in comparison its more close to Honkais systems the only catch is that you kind of need to hoard the 120 for the limited red nucleus if you want to garantee it for that banner i plan to just horde till a colab comes and play with the gold one SSR's if the banner doesn't contain that BIS unite in the whole game that is a must pull like a Ganyu or an Archon from Genshin to make a comparison

How hard are the Dark Crystals to get? We'll need 12,000 to reach that Red 80 pity. . . and 18,000 if we lose the 50/50 to reach 120 tokens to buy from the shop.
You get a fair amount but if you want to have enough for 80 pulls or more then it's going to take a long time. But you could be lucky and get the character before 80 aswell.
Just a question if you don't mind :) How do you obtain the main premium currency? (The black cubes) . I'm guessing you get them through quests but I'm not sure
A great thing this game does is to add exclusive weapons to the regular one after a while. And Genshin went the other way and added simultaneous exclusive banners...
Ive only been playing for 4 days and pulled 4 of my 6 SSRs from black summons which is nutty I'm hoping they add nemesis to the gold summons since I was not able to earn enough red nucleus as a f2p in my short time playing
Ohh my the pity and gacha system is soo good! But I'm scared since it's on CN over there they tend to be more friendly with gacha and pity systems I feel like over here global they will make it to 120 for guaranteed ssr and have the pity reset everytime if you get a ssr before the guarantee also the hard pity to get the weapon/character from the shop us going to be 150 I can feel it they going to pull some scummy move
Coming from Genshin's gacha,this way better.The monthly pass, daily comissions, gacha currency's, all of them are like night and day compared to genshin but yeah this is an mmo and genshin is like more on the casual rpg type of game, can't wait to play tof tho. i think you forgot to mention that the gold nucleus have a soft pity, it says 0.75% and slowly increasing to 2%.. but it doesnt state when the soft pity increases and how much..

Yes. Anytime you pull the SSR on a limited banner it has the 50/50, but unlike the normal banner, once you roll 120 times and have those tokens you can buy the limited banner weapon outright. so if you really want a character on a banner it is recommended to do so only if you have 120 red nucleus. or 18000 materials to make them.
So I grasp the concept of summons, but can someone please explain to me why I want to be going for particular characters/weapons? What is the different between the standard common characters and the rare type? Also, who/what do I want to be aiming to get? Thankyou in advance.
There is a couple of diffrent reasons. Firstly they obviously play diffrently, so you will find certain weapons more fun to use than others. And that might be a reason to go after a certain character/weapon. The other reason is how strong they are or their synergy with what build you might be going for. Since you can equip and switch between 3 diffrent weapons you might want to have a team that have synergy with each other. The diffrence in rarity is usually that the more rare the better they are. But this is not always true since if you can upgrade a SR to max by geting duplicates it might be stronger than a 0-1 star SSR. If you play the game casually then you don't need to worry too much about min/maxing ect, and should instead go for characters/weapons you like and enjoy using.
How much it takes for f2p player to save 1 pity for limited banner? And on standard it's worth just to pull whenever you got pulls, cause early game you want to get more good weapons anyway.

If you miss the 50/50 and cant go to 120 then those red tokens convert to yellow and you dont get them to contribute to the next character/weapon

You can stop at 50 and buy the chips box too rather than use more pulls if you don't want more than 1 copy.

There these things that have 2 kinds, red and yellow. Red ‘thingies’ r given 1 per summon on the event banner and can be used in the shop to buy the event limited SSR during its time period for 120. But r converted into the yellow 1s after the event ends. The yellow 1s on the other hand only come from the gold nucleus and black nucleus summons and r 1 per summon as well as can be used to buy permanently available SSRs in the shop.
And if any1 reads this b4 even finishing the vid, just watch the damn vid. He does a way better job of explaining it and idk if I’m even understanding it right.
Just to make sure that i fully understood, so at 120, you can buy the weapon from the store with the limited currency and the character is included ?

Question, do i have to use the character summon skin when welding the weapon or can i use it with my base character? ive seen how in depth the ToF character creator is and im the kind of person that can spend hours designing one, i dont want to put that much effort if im going to end watching some other character most of the time.

ive decided to download TOF, hopefully the tower made of fantasies gets put into the game soon
so if my genshin brain understood gold/black balls are like the permanent banner red is limited and chips are like artifacts (its easier for my friends to unerstand this bc im supposed to explain the game for em cus they are dumb )
i like the gatcha system they have in this game im used to Genshins over priced pulls so this is fair in comparison its more close to Honkais systems the only catch is that you kind of need to hoard the 120 for the limited red nucleus if you want to garantee it for that banner i plan to just horde till a colab comes and play with the gold one SSR's if the banner doesn't contain that BIS unite in the whole game that is a must pull like a Ganyu or an Archon from Genshin to make a comparison

We'll need 12,000 to reach that Red 80 pity. . . and 18,000 if we lose the 50/50 to reach 120 tokens to buy from the shop.
About 6 months grind
You get a fair amount but if you want to have enough for 80 pulls or more then it's going to take a long time. But you could be lucky and get the character before 80 aswell.
Just a question if you don't mind :) How do you obtain the main premium currency? (The black cubes) . I'm guessing you get them through quests but I'm not sure
A great thing this game does is to add exclusive weapons to the regular one after a while. And Genshin went the other way and added simultaneous exclusive banners...

But I'm scared since it's on CN over there they tend to be more friendly with gacha and pity systems I feel like over here global they will make it to 120 for guaranteed ssr and have the pity reset everytime if you get a ssr before the guarantee also the hard pity to get the weapon/character from the shop us going to be 150 I can feel it they going to pull some scummy move

i think you forgot to mention that the gold nucleus have a soft pity, it says 0.75% and slowly increasing to 2%.. but it doesnt state when the soft pity increases and how much..
So for the wishes we find in the over world do they respawn? Or is it a one and done, you collect it that’s it type of thing?

When you buy the weapon for 120 tokens you automatically get the featured character's skin too!

Yes. Anytime you pull the SSR on a limited banner it has the 50/50, but unlike the normal banner, once you roll 120 times and have those tokens you can buy the limited banner weapon outright. so if you really want a character on a banner it is recommended to do so only if you have 120 red nucleus. or 18000 materials to make them.
So I grasp the concept of summons, but can someone please explain to me why I want to be going for particular characters/weapons? What is the different between the standard common characters and the rare type?

There is a couple of diffrent reasons. Firstly they obviously play diffrently, so you will find certain weapons more fun to use than others. And that might be a reason to go after a certain character/weapon. The other reason is how strong they are or their synergy with what build you might be going for. Since you can equip and switch between 3 diffrent weapons you might want to have a team that have synergy with each other.
The diffrence in rarity is usually that the more rare the better they are. But this is not always true since if you can upgrade a SR to max by geting duplicates it might be stronger than a 0-1 star SSR. If you play the game casually then you don't need to worry too much about min/maxing ect, and should instead go for characters/weapons you like and enjoy using.
