Id like to publicly repent publicly for what ive commented on your channel. In search of the truth i was mis led by my own understanding and it wasnt until prayer and searching scripture have i now changed my mind. i believe you are correct those who are called are sealed until the day of redemtion. And that it is no way a work of man but that of the holy spirit. Who works out our salvation through justification sanctification and glorification. the parable of the sower mathew 13 and john 10 kinda cleared it up for me and obviously all the other scripture too. I do repent humbly and it was a learning experience for me.

Calvinism and Armenianism are false doctrines. OSAS. ?There are explanations for all those verses. If you think you must do something to remain saved you trust yourself in your salvation and not Christ alone
You miss spelled Arminianism , Armenianism is an ethnicity/race not a theology , Arminianism is a theology , Arminians believe Savlation is by grace , Mongergistic Arminians like myself know that God does 100% of the work and saving in salvation , so no one Can do good works period without supernatural grace .Calvinism and Arminianism are mutually exclusive with no middle postions So they cannot both be wrong if you are neither that would make you a pelagian which would make you a heretic dude , I would really encourage you to read more on subject before attempting to speak. Satan committed a sin within a place with no time, Man committed sin in a place where there is time. Satan was once perfect, but has eternally fallen from grace. We were perfect as well, but then again, WE were created in God's Image, in God's likeness. Jesus died on the cross, not to redeem Lucifer, but to save Mankind. Jesus died for the sins of humanity, not for the wickedness of demons and devils.

It is a verse that should bring us comfort, not fear. You will be saved when you endure to the end of whatever persecution you are facing. It's not a condition of salvation, but a confirmation that you are saved.

There are SEVERAL, but right away, if it is not, then apparently passages such as Mark 1:15, John 3:16-17, John 4:13-14, John 5:24, John 6:29, John 10:28, John 14:6, John 14:19, John 19:30, Romans 5:10, Romans 8:28-30, 2 Corinthians 5:19, Galatians 2:19-21, Ephesians 6:24, Colossians 2:13-15, Hebrews 6:4-9, Hebrews 7:25, Hebrews 10:14, Hebrews 10:26, Hebrews 13:5, 2 Peter 1:9, 1 John 2:12, Jude 1:24, Revelation 22:17 and so on and then some are all telling lies. Funny how the book of Hebrews initially praises God for the new (and better covenant) that the Lord gave us, and that Jesus perfected us forever...but then, in chapters 6 and 10 of Hebrews, the author starts sowing seeds of doubt about how good and perfect is this new covenant. And in Heb 10:39 he even uses "perdition" or hell-fire as a threat. For this reason, I think much of Hebrews 10 is not inspired of God...I think it's a nonsensical, flesh-driven theology that may have been born from the mind of a judaizer. Perhaps Hebrews was written by some unknown judaizer. Don't get me wrong, I think much of Hebrews is scriptural...but I don't think all of it was.

Explain the parable of the Ten virgins then. It was clear from the parable that salvation can be lost if we do not watch and pray. The bible also said that in those days there would be a great falling away and even the very elect would be deceived. Jesus always emphasised"watch & pray". We are only secured if we die in christ.

Brother, I can not thank you enough for your channel and insight. I have to admit that I became blinded by Sam's knowledge of recollecting scripture that I was questioning so many things that are so clearly written in the Bible that Jesus said. I prayed to god to give me the insight and lead me to the truth and the very next day I started getting recommended your channel. Thank you and praise god! Sam is confused himself and leading many of his "followers/subscribers" in the wrong direction. Looking for meaning in the scripture so deep that he is twisting the meaning. God wants everyone to be saved more than we do and he wouldn't make the scripture a cryptic message that only the few could get. He makes the bar so low that anyone with a brain could do it. Debunking with one verse should always raise a red flag. Context is key. Sam just plucks a verse to argue his works salvation view which he also used to do when he was a Calvinist.
Yeah I don't know why so many Calvinistic Baptists are so fond of lordship salvation. It's not even the historic Reformed view. Too many people listen to John MacArthur, who isn't even a real Calvinist if you ask me. He only follows TULIP, everything else is just Baptist and legalism. This isn't what Presbyterians teach for example.

The problem with Baptists is they will only agree with TULIP and call themselves Calvinists. This is why people falsely think Calvinists believe this nonsense, but TULIP by itself can be very problematic. MacArthur is a terrible teacher, but this is what most people think Calvinists are.
@@morghe321 I will also add that Lutherans believe in a law and gospel distinction as well, but unlike Free grace and Calvinists, they think you can forfeit your salvation. In all fairness, not in the same way Arminians or Catholics would teach though. So for example they teach you can forfeit your salvation by relying on your own works to Heaven too much instead of Jesus’ or if you become apostate. I would disagree with that of course.
@@morghe321 Basically, Presbyterians and free grace agree on the gospel and law as well as giving assurance of salvation. Faith alone. Where they primarily disagree would be secondary things such as infant baptism vs believer’s baptism and that all comes down to whether or not you see continuity between the old and new covenant signs of circumcision and baptism. Also of course 5 point Calvinism vs 1-3 point in free grace. There’s a lot of variance in free grace beliefs so it would be difficult to narrow down all the differences, but the point is the differences aren’t salvific. Faith in Christ is all that matters for salvation.
If Jesus Christ died for All sin and has forgiven all sin and an unbelievers comes to saving faith and belief in Jesus Christ he is automatically justified. He is clothed in the Righteousness of Christ. He then receives the Holy Spirt. Since all sin is forgiven there is no sin that believer can commit that would cause the Holy Spirt to depart from him thus loosing his Salvation. Salvation is not the forgiveness of sins. Salvation is the restoration of the Holy Spirt that was lost in Adam. You can not loose your salvation. If you believe you can loose your salvation then you don't quite grasp the fullness of what Christ did on the cross. Calvinist believe in perseverance of the Saint in the TULIP acronym they preach a false Gospel and thank you Jesus for delivering me from that system of indoctrination. Justification is in an instance and Sanctification is a process but not a requirement for salvation. Glorification is the adoption and the redemption of our Heavenly bodies when Jesus Christ comes back.

Since it’s a public setting and just so everyone’s aware, as of the time of Matthew 5 (first Sermon on the Mount - the PUBLIC one), Jesus had not yet been to the cross which means everyone in attendance was still under the 613 rules of that now-obsolete Mosaic Law. (The PUBLIC one can be found in Matthew 5:1-Matthew 7:29 and was on the Mount of Beatitudes. The PRIVATE one can be found in Matthew 24:3-25:46 and was on the Mount of Olives. That private one is also commonly referred to as the “Olivet Discourse”.)
There was, as of yet with each, no “Calvary”, no “Resurrection”, no “Ascension” and no “Pentecost”. Galatians 4:4-5 is helpful in that area - “...born under the Law”. Matthew 22:36 is also helpful in that area - “...teacher, what is the greatest commandment IN THE LAW?”
That’s also why it’s implied many times by Jesus during that first Sermon on the Mount: “You say...but I say...”
The Olivet discourse talks about the things that happen before the great tribulation If u read Matthew 24 and compare it to revelation 6 u can see that we won’t be here when the angles sound their trumpets. at the 6th seal U can refer back to Matthew 24 and see that the same signs are happening in Matthew 24 God sends his angels to gather the elect while the sun and moon are darkening At the same time the angels are gathering the elect if u go back to rev 6 u can see that while this is happening a group of people are brought to Gods throne while another angel is sealing the 144000 Matthew 24 is just the start of the end. Good teaching, but Matthew 24:31 is not the rapture. The rapture of the Church is Pre-Tribulation. Matthew 24:31 is not for the church, but to Israel. This gathering is of people who came to faith during the Tribulation.

Matthew 24 is not the rapture but everything else was spot on.

The Spirit speaketh expressly that in the latter times, some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. (1Timothy 4:1)- means that some saints are gonna fall away from the faith, by giving heed to demonic doctrines.
If you continue in the faith, grounded and settled, and be not moved from the hope of the gospel (Colossians 1:23) is a conditional statement and it means that it’s possible for you not to continue in the faith, and to be moved from the hope of the gospel.

Your works here on earth are for your rewards/treasures in heaven, not for salvation. Jesus said the ONLY sin not forgiven is if you blasphem the Holy Spirit. Like the pharisees did when they said Jesus was casting out demons by the spirit of Satan. So when the Holy Spirit is at work and you say it's false (false prophet) or say the works of the HS are not from God, you are blaspheming the HS. Everything is forgiven except that.

You know. There's one thing that I always wondered. Why is it that people can't understand the simple teachings of the bible? I always see things online like, "one scripture to debunk" something. The rapture and the 2nd Coming are not one and the same event.

1 Thessalonians 5:9 says that the believer is not appointed for God wrath.

The church is witnessing Christ as He begins to open the seals in Revelation 5:9.

Having the saved and Spirit filled believer here during the tribulation period calls God’s character into question as we see from Genesis 18:25.
It also brings up another reality in that Galatians 2:20 says,
20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.
If believers are here when God’s wrath begins, then technically God will be unleashing His wrath on Himself, because the believer has the Spirit of Christ that lives in them right now!

He absolutely misinterprets Matthew 24:13. It has nothing to do with what a person does to gain or retain salvation It is talking about living. If a person endures through the tribulation without dying or being killed, that is the enduring. And when they do make it to the end, that is when Christ returns and "the same shall be saved" as it says at the end of the verse, as it also says in Romans 11:26: And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob

Nondenominational is in fact a denomination, which is really just Baptist. Like I said, I get it. You don't like Baptists, and Baptists are generally very legalistic; but if we're honest, that's essentially what it is.

According to Jesus Christ teachings I do not think "once saved always saved" is correct.
Let's go into the bible Luke 15 especially from verse 11 (Luke 15: 11-32).
The parable of the Prodigal son.
For me the son was saved in the first instance. But later he was drawn away when he requested for all that is his from the Father. The Father obliged. Then he walked away. Therefore he lost salvation.
Secondly, when he squandered every inheritance the Father gave to him he has to come back and plead for repentance.
Consequently, to me the parable indicated three (3) stages:
First:
He was saved.
Second:
He lost Salvation when wondered into foreign land.
Third:
When he realised his situation he came back to his Father (repentance).
If he had lost his life while he was in a foreign land what could have happened, in judgement?

I need some context from someone. What do you mean by once saved always saved? Are you saying that lets say someone accepts Christ at age 12, gets baptized etc. But later on in life in their 30's they completely abandon the faith and take up being a Muslim completely abandoning and denying Christ until they die. Are you saying that person is saved?

Amen! Funny how people tend to leave out the word "alone" out of that verse. When you do that, you are snatching your own salvation and adding works or other restrictions for the sole reason Jesus shed His blood on the cross for us....lest they shall boast. And pride is one of the 7 deadly sins as well as it was what threw Lucifer out of heaven.

Sam stated Calvinists believe OSAS. The P of TULIP is not OSAS. Persistence of the saints means man must persist or he is damned. OSAS means God is faithful to his word.
Calvinists do believe OSAS. That's the whole point, otherwise the logic to the 5 points of TULIP completely fails. I don't know who told you this but that is completely false.

@@goodshorts Yes, but that isn't what Calvinists believe. First off, Lordship salvation isn't the Calvinist view. That is something Baptists like John MacArthur spew, and it has nothing to do with Calvinism. Calvinists believe in OSAS too, as that is kind of where OSAS comes from. It's Perseverance of the saints, better described as PRESERVATION of the Saints. That God will preserve all that are saved until the end. OSAS just simplifies it. What you just described, every Calvinist would agree with.

Why does Jesus Christ plainly say “He that believeth on me hath everlasting life” so many times during his time on earth?
If eternal life could be lost, how could the Savior tell the rejected “I NEVER knew you”? He knows those who have eternal life, so how could He un-know those who (allegedly) lost eternal life?

ANYBODY who does not believe in once saved always saved is NOT saved. If you have to do something to keep your salvation, you teach that believing is not enough.

Kind of weird. Calvinists would agree with faith alone, reject lordship salvation, and hold to a law/gospel distinction. It's okay to disagree, but I don't think we should insult other's beliefs. Especially since we should humble ourselves and realize we can always be wrong.
Not an Insult just a straight foward description of John calvinism and what they must necessarily believe = Exhaustive determinism + 5 points of Calvinism if they actually follow Calvin that is.

Actually, if someone lays a claim that one saved but you're not always saved is basically "salvation by works" and Scripture lies. "Pure blasphemy", in other words. This "Sam Shamoun" individual should be ignored at all costs unless he literally does a 180. He's apparently still breathing so there's a chance (see Hebrews 9:27-28 for more information).

It’s quite insulting to both Calvary and the Resurrection to say salvation isn’t permanent. There are SEVERAL, but right away, if it is not, then apparently passages such as Mark 1:15, John 3:16-17, John 4:13-14, John 5:24, John 6:29, John 10:28, John 14:6, John 14:19, John 19:30, Romans 5:10, Romans 8:28-30, 2 Corinthians 5:19, Galatians 2:19-21, Ephesians 6:24, Colossians 2:13-15, Hebrews 6:4-9, Hebrews 7:25, Hebrews 10:14, Hebrews 10:26, Hebrews 13:5, 2 Peter 1:9, 1 John 2:12, Jude 1:24, Revelation 22:17 and so on and then some are all telling lies. That’s sad.
That verse is not refering to the "end of the world", but to the end of the great tribulation and the Old Covenant age and the destruction of the temple that occured in 70ad. It doesn't apply to us.

I dont think it's improper context. I think Sam puts the EO church's teaching above the bible, which forces him into strange interpretations of scripture.
Roman Catholics usually do stuff like that. It's all about "religion" and "Mosaic Law". This is the A.D. Era now.
I think that God's covenants in the OT show us that salvation is separate from sanctification. Abram was given righteousness because he believed God. The covenant God makes with Abraham is a one-party covenant...God puts Abraham to sleep and God alone walks thru the divided heifer. So this is the covenant of salvation. You believe God and he credits you with righteousness...and it's all on his shoulders. It's not about you or your faithfulness. So where is sanctification in this process? Well that comes many many years later with Moses and the 10-commandments. That is where the children of Israel sanctified for the temple and for worship and for special use. So these 2 covenants, separated by hundreds of years, show us clearly that salvation is apart from sanctification.
So if you are to argue against "once saved always saved", you will need to convince me that a Hebrew (one made a chosen child of God by the faith of Abraham) can somehow choose to become NOT a Hebrew. You need to show me that God is not faithful to Abraham's descendants. You'll have to show me that God abandons his children as orphans (contrary to Jesus in John 14:18-19). I will not hold me breath as you conduct your search...because it just isn't taught in scripture. Listen to what Jesus said...he will say to the lost "Depart from me, I NEVER KNEW YOU". Jesus also said it's the will of the Father that the Son will not lose any that the Father has given to the Son. (John 6:37-40)
