So last year my daughter came to visit on Mother’s Day and made me birria tacos with fresh tortillas and tamales! I found out she watches you also! She’s a pro from your videos and I just watch but leave the cooking to her now, she’s well taught and should cook for her mom! It was awesome! Oh and her names Stephanie also!

I grew up in TX in the '60's & '70's, we were so lucky to have the wonderful influence of the Mexican (Tex-Mex) culture in our food. My folks spent many hours in the kitchen trying different recipes. Dad grew and mom canned lots of jalapenos, etc for their recipes.

I can’t stop watching you,love how you get along and laugh, re minds me when my sister and i got in trouble at night because we kept laughing and being loud my dad would come with his belt and hit us and told us to go to sleep, we had to listen or else we knew what was going to happen, sometimes we would cover our mouth as not to get hit again but we couldn’t stop, it was crazy. thank you so much ladies for being you. you both keep having fun, that’s how it should be.

YOU are so what is needed to make mexican food available to the rest of the world, love your presentation style, only discovered the amazing dried chilli varieties available a couple of weeks ago. Got a slow cooker beef ancho and other chilli beef going on at the moment.... tried new chillies, might have gone a bit too far for me to share this .. I'm o.k. with heat, but not all my friends here in the U.K. can handle it! Keep up the good work!
Yes I agree 100% . We need more “show and tell “ on Chilies! I don’t know that much about chilies and I’m trying to incorporate them more in my dishes that I make . So it really helps me and others to be taught by you about them as you always make it comfortable and easy as you go about making your recipes with them and describe it to us as you cook . Im mentally preparing to leave the house today for the holiday. I get super anxious if I have to leave the house terrified I’ll get stuck somewhere unable to return to home. I was looking for motivational videos about this and they just made me feel worse like a was a loser. And then I remembered how inspired I get watching you two. You two have given me confidence in cooking that I’ve never had or was encouraged to achieve. They way you speak and show us (me) how to make a dish I’ve never tried but always wanted to and say “not to worry “ and “make it comfortable for you and your home” encourages confidence in the gentlest way. (Can you tell Im a big snowflake ❄️❔)

Unfortunately I don't like cilantro & can't handle too much spice so I'd have to eliminate those. I'm sure I can use red pepper flakes to my liking. Easier to handle the spiciness. So many of your recipes I'd love to try. I'd have to look for the individual video so I can see the alternatives at the bottom. Love you beautiful ladies.

Your food looks really good. I agree coke in glass bottles tasted so good and I think it got colder. One time when I was a little girl my dad had purchased a metal coke box that you could take on a picnic and we had our cokes smothered in ice and the coke froze in the neck of the bottles and it was delicious. This all looks so good!!

Aww memories of my mom’s arroz con leche,i was pretty young when she would make us that, we were seven kids so she made a lot.I’m 69 now and i hadn’t thought of that, thank you Stephanie, i like to be reminded of foods my mom cooked especially since she is gone with our lord. If you accidently make your posoli too salt, you can add a few peeled and diced potatoes to your posoli. It's not a normal ingredients so instead of dicing your potato and leaving it the pot just peel one potato and add it whole to your soup for at least 30 minutes or longer. Then, use a slotted spoon and remove it. But I personally believe potatoes go with everything. The only time that won't work is if it is salty as the sea. I hope that helps. 😊
