I totally understand their reaction to them trying to eat the corn wrapping on the outside. first time I'd ever had Tamales I was like 20 years old and I'm from America and knew Mexican people all my life. My friends all laughed at me 😅
I don't even remember trynna eat the corn husks I just knew how to eat em😂. I'm Hispanic btw
If it makes you feel better, at our church they made them in banana leaves I think instead of the husks, and I ate it with the banana leaves until someone saw and said “nOo you don’t eat that part!!” 🫣

If the dough is dry it's cuz the ratio is off (needs a little more lard usually)
Exactly! Lmao if it’s dry it’s cause you didn’t get a good one. When it’s still moist but in a good way and it has enough meat it slaps so hard
I’m pretty sure they were referring to the husk
@@whengrapespop5728 no she clearly is talking about the actual tamale. She says this after he explains the guy explains to them how eat it.

It’s just an awkward vibe because you can tell honestly they’re taken aback by it, but they’re a nice proper mannered family who is trying to be open minded and at least they tried. Dads ready to get back to the baguette 🥖

I always preferred tamales with a red chile sauce or a mole sauce, really counteracts the dryness 🤤
I make homemade chili and pour over the tamales
Why people plating dry tamales?? If they are dry they are made wrong 😂.
I like mine with queso
I'd really appreciate trying a tamale that I would enjoy.. and it sounds like I've been cheated lol

Kudos to theFrench family for being so willing to try something new for them. Also, those tamales could use some sauce. 😊
