  • After you get the introductory suspension upgrades on your car like adjustable coilovers and sway bars, there are still a bunch of things you can upgrade to improve the vehicle’s dynamic characteristics. Considering automobile manufacturers engineer cars to be quiet, smooth and comfortable, it means they have soft suspension, sloppy handling and room for improvement. In this video, I will be swapping out all of my stock suspension arms for adjustable billet aluminum & titanium adjustable arms, AND MORE!
    These are the specs i’ll be shooting for at the alignment shop:
    Front Camber: -3.0 degrees. Caster: 6 degrees. Front Toe: 0.05 degrees.
    Rear Camber: -1.7 degrees. Rear Toe: 0.10 degrees.
    Feel free to take a look at the tools and products I’ve outlined in this video. By purchasing items below, it helps my channel operate and brings more awesome content your ways. Thank you all for your generous support!! 💙

    I’m on s1 meister 3pc! I have Z1 Fuca, rear toe and rear camber arms! Plus they’re eccentric lockout kit and stance coil overs. Unfortunately everything is sitting in the corner of my room lol I’m so lazy to put everything on. I went the cheaper route with Z1 but in the future I want to go with the Nismo x SPL arms. Always love the Z videos!

    Have you (or anybody here with a z) had issues with bump steer? I have an issue in my car but haven’t been able to pin point it yet. Maybe some suspension upgrades could help? Basically what I’ve noticed after two years of driving my Z is that when I hit a bump, after the initial up and down motion; my steering wheel gets really loose in hand and the weight of my arm pulls the wheel for just a split second In Either direction. I.e. “bump steer”. Issue is I don’t know what could cause it. I’ve got brand new wheels, brakes, tires, alignment, balance, wheels...no idea what could cause it but I just don’t think it’s normal. I’ve gotten used to it so I am braced every time I hit large bumps or cracks in the road so as not to lose control but there’s a feeling I get when another z passes by that makes me so jealous like “man I bet that person is just gliding down the road smooth as could be! I’ve never had a chance to drive another 370 but when I had a 350 I never had any sort of problem like this. We all know the z is a bit stiff (which I love) but I’d like to feel in control of my car as far as just daily driving. If I could fix this problem I’d be more comfortable pushing the car a bit; which is why I bought it. To drive. And it makes me sad I don’t know what’s wrong with my car. No noticeable damage underneath but it did have a prior front end collision from first owner. The frame is straight and from what I can tell it just needed a new front bumper. But I’m just a home garage RUclips diy mechanic. Anyways long rant coming to an end. Could you or anybody point me in the direction of first steps to diagnosing this problem? I love the z and this community but I’m not sure where to go from here. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

    my car has the spring and coilover design so you're saying I can still have the toe arm to replace the bucket ???What are the differences? Will it mess with my ride height??? To my understanding I only know that it'll make the ride height a bit more stiffer.

    • @MillionDollarDream

      If you don’t want to replace your rear suspension of you don’t have a true coil over set, then you need traction arms to get full camber adjustments

    how resistant is that upper control arm against the salt on the roads? especially rose joints without any covers

    • @milanmastracci

    Hey Milan. Which company/parts supplier/website do you commonly shop with? Did you order the SPL components through their website or another business? Also, which is your go to shop for an alignment around us? Thanks, fellow Niagara 370Z driver, Alex.

    • @milanmastracci

      Hey Alex, SPL is usually my go to. They are pricey, but are the last control arms you'll have to buy for your car. As for alignment shops, I've found it difficult to find a good one that I know does good work every time. If you know of one, lmk as I've tried countless.

    I am just curious, you keep swapping/adding parts to the Mini, have you driven it at all? I mean seriously? What's the purpose of having a car at standstill forever in order to supposedly upgrade it more and more? Only when you actually drive it you will be able to identify its real weak spots in order to later address them.

    • @apostmax
      @apostmax 4 года назад

      btw good luck aligning the car after all these changes, you realize that you have changed the entire suspension geometry, right?

    • @milanmastracci
      @milanmastracci  4 года назад +1

      As for the MINI, I drove the car last year and took for for a long road trip, and also brought it to the track. The parts that I am installing are 1000% upgrades over the stock parts, and will allow me to beat on the car without problems. Similarly to the oil cooler I installed on my MINI, I have one for my 370Z. Even though I've mostly driven the car on the street, its safe to say that it is NECESSARY should you track it on a somewhat warm day, let alone a day in summer. If I didn't drive it, you'd be correct in saying that I wouldn't be able to identify weak points without driving the car.

    • @apostmax
      @apostmax 4 года назад

      @@milanmastracci Glad to hear that. Just be careful setting up the suspension geometry as it is also crucial for your safety and only professionals can make sure it's adjusted properly.
