Great info and review. Lens whether full frame or aps c will improve with technology especially the optics. As you say quality control may be an issue bu the 3rd party lens suppliers like Viltrox jumping into the game are competing well. Seriously considering upgrading from the 6300. The main reason is the built in Stabilization on the 6700. Doing a lot of street stuff, and anything that helps improve focusing is on m list. The other item is battery life. The 6700 almost doubles the number of shots. Thanks again
How do u feel about a6400 for an amateur person starting out on photography..how much does he miss out from a6700 in terms of features and videography(although my main focus is on photography)
I personally used to own an a6300 (the predecessor to a6400) and I really loved that camera. It helped me grow into more serious photography and videography. In terms of photography you will not miss out on almost anything - the a6700 mostly improved only video specs and autofocus (a6400 still has amazing autofocus). I have seen some a6400 for really good prices - both brand new and used. So If photography is your main focus - try and find one for a good deal and I believe you will be very happy. Use that extra money you saved on some good glass! You can also do great video stuff with a6400. It features 4k and log shooting and much more!
@@matiss.skujins thank u sir for the quick reply.. Ur video was useful... I wish more ppl voiced out raw opinions like u did instead of sounding like every other review on the internet.. Wish u a good day
A7C models do offer a great feature set for a lower price and size, but they often share the same build quality issues as a6000 models - lower quality buttons, doors and lack of joystick, dual card slots, and more. I personally think they cut down too much in build quality, for high end use i would go with the a7 iii/ a7iv or other models
thanks a lot for this informations, i was taking photos and videos with my IPhone and edited them with editing apps on my laptop. now i decided to buy a camera and start photography and videography for portrait and reels… etc and make money from it, is a6700 is good choice and if yes would you recommend sigma 18-50 or tamron 17-70 with it ?
Happy to see that you’re looking to upgrade. A6700 should be plenty as an upgrade! I’ve personally used Sigma 18-50 and it was great! Tamron 17-70 might seem like a better option but I have heard rumours about the built in stabilisation in tamron working against the sensor stabilisation in sony… not sure if it is still a problem but might be worth looking into
I personally never tried the 18-135. It’s super universal, but does suffer from not that much light coming into the sensor, therefore not being the best at low light situations. As the first lens - it is probably a great choice. I would recommend the second lens being something more low light oriented so you are ready for any situation!
Depends on what you do. If you are in a lot of run and gun situations - A6700 will get the job done mostly because of the autofocus. But the image coming out of the S5 is truly beautiful but does usually require a bit more time and work. Thats my experience at least!
True. But full frame lenses are quite costly and L-Mount is more limited than E-mount. There are still many lenses missing in their lineup, which should not be overlooked. Nevertheless I think the S5 and S5II are stellar cameras!
@@matiss.skujins I was debating with both of these cameras for what seems like years because my dad has a lot of old Nikon F-Mount NIKKOR lenses and I want to get a camera for myself to do a lot of outdoor cinematics, and have a talking head style content. Would you say the a6700 is better suited for me or the S5?
I really liked exploring old lenses with my S5 since a lot of old vintage lenses cover the full sensor and have a lot of asthetic to them. If you do want to experiment with older lenses - I can highly recommend S5.

Glad I could help! It’s definitely a huge upgrade from the a6700 in every aspect. I don’t think you would be disappointed
Good Talk. Thanks.
Cheers 🙌🏼

Thank you so much! Maybe I will do more of these videos 🤔
You suggested full frame but not the A7C models? Can I ask why not those models in particular?

How's it with sony 18-135 Power zoom lens?

s5 II. It is on sale for 1400 usd often. And it is truly run and gun monster

The doors do stink. The mechanism for opening the charger door is literally wedging your fingernail in and prying open. Very bizarre design choice.
Agreed! And I think it is even more criminal to use the same design on A7C models and Zv-e1…
