My husband and I will be there this March we don't know yet we're we staying but for now we both retired we can take sometime look around we're going to live.. im from bulacan but my province is over crowded unlike Cecil province I see u guys vedio they have alot of spaces also near @ the beach if u want to unwine @ the beach is great not far.. her province is like Hawaii to me. Don't worry about haters no matter what u do, they r not going to be happy.. I enjoy watching u guys project. Be rested after that long plane ride and continue vlogging.. u guys just like celebrities everyday I check and see if u have new vllogs. Peace!
I think you got a good deal on the size of your house and have done a great job fixing it up. We bought our house(2000 sq. ft.) in Cebu City for around 3.7 million knowing we needed to do some major renovations. Maybe would have been cheaper after all the renovations that we did if we would have built the house ourselves but our circumstances didn't allow it at the time. We added a dirty kitchen, renovated our master bathroom, replaced our kitchen, doubled our master bedroom, added wardrobes, renovated the other 3 CRs, security bars in all windows, new roofing in some areas, built a new 24 by 9 balcony with a roof and added all new furniture/ appliances over an 8 year period. We have about $130,000 into this house but with no house payments. The house is in a subdivision with guards, a swimming pool, courts and a club house. Our area here has very big trees with a jungle feel to it. Very very little traffic and just about 9 miles to the Center of Cebu City.
Sounds like a great situation to be in and a great location!
@Faron Ray what’s your lot size ? I’m debating on building or just renting but got very interested on a property in Guimaras because of the orchard and the size of the land . My idea of a vacay house in Phil is 135 m2 house and just $50k build , 2 br ,1 bath
@@FatboySE103 our lot is only 130 sqm. We have a 3 story home. The lots here in our subdivision go for 12000 to 14000 pesos per meter. Our subdivision still has many lots that dont have houses built yet but slowly filling up. Everyone has different situations. Dont put any money into the Philippines unless you can afford to lose it. Because of the low rent here, it would be better to rent. I bought a house because of my wife to pass on to her when I die. An older house is a money pit, especially a bigger one.
@@faronray5765 agree , each one is diff . The best one is the one that fits one’s situation . Home is where I’m at and what I buy if I pursue it is a vacay house so the land , location is what will be the deciding factor . Takes a long time for trees to grow and what interest me in Guimaras are the fruit trees . There’s a 2000sf house on it but it’s not my type . I’ll build a simple single level house if I like the property enough . Maybe Airbnb the existing house to cover upkeep when I’m here . The convenience here is hard to beat . I live here in Southern California but my lot is only 6k sf

Excellent job,credit to you both..one thing ,enjoy the newness because as you may know ,things detereate so quickly in the Philippines, humidity and weather plus air pollution,I paint my house outside every two/3 years.
I can see that anything outdoors shows wear and tear pretty quickly. We're going on our third year and the exterior paint is still in pretty good shape so far.

Even if it will reach $100k with the renovation and other add ons it still cheaper than a house here in USA . Omg house here is way too expensive. ..
That house will cost a minimum of $200k even in a small town where I live in here in India.. Very good price..
What if you say I think we sell this house in Philippines . Who you going to sell it too. 3 world country buddy . You struck … You move back to USA and family move in . No rent or if you lucky to rent it in Pesco .Your dream and it setting in another country . Great investor you say … yes but for who ???!????

I see alot of houses when being renovated are removing as much wood as they can, double glazzed plastic frame windows, metal staircase etc..
We had an exterminator treat our entire property. So far its been wonderful.

Good job guys. I like the white, grey, black colors and less than 4m for that size house, what a score! Thank god for 2019 bc that home is prob worth more than double that now. Home prices are ridiculous atm and pricing out so many ordinary Pinoys.

I think there may be more amenities in that area than other areas in the Philippines.. beautiful house and you did a great job making it the way you want it.. in America that house would cost about $400,000 or more in other areas.. I'm moving to the Philippines because America is getting too crazy and too expensive.. I am engaged to a beautiful Filipino girl I'm going to live out my retirement in the Philippines. Great job folks! Masters on the first are hard to come by here in PH. BIG PLUS! My only complaint would be the lack of yard. I'm originally from S Carolina so I'm used to acres, not lots in subdivisions. We also have a 7yr old daughter that I can't imagine not having a green space to play, imagine and wonder.
Decent homes on 500-1,000 sqm lots here in Cagayan de Oro are either rare or expensive (15M - 30M), so we bought a 2,200sqm lot within 20 minutes of the city and will build, so as to "theoretically" have the best of both worlds. I'm not looking forward to the hassle and stress that is always involved with building,... but,... the gain for the pain is lower costs, guaranteed quality control (via your direct oversight), your own design and preferences.
