Total Drama is such a confusing show, like it just gets progressively more unhinged, and Chris McLean is basically just a sociopath at this point

Think of Lindsay this season this way: the smartest thing ANYONE did was get themselves out the second they were able to. Lindsay went galaxy-brain avoiding this shitshow.

There’s a mini theory of basically that idea. Think about it, Lindsay may be dumb, but she definitely knows about basic motor functions. According to the theory, she acted dumb to annoy the people who treated her badly, even letting Courtney get crushed by Sierraz

And it’s nobody else, just them.
The way you could have still had Courtney get eliminated this episode, but allowed her to keep her friendship with Gwen. Literally just remove the chart stuff and find some way for her to not be able to eat her sundae at the end. Like, I don't know, it gets destroyed by one of the mutant animals or she mixed up an ingredient with something identical that made it evaporate or something.

@@lulaloopsey Honestly, I think that's a big part of why I hate the episode? It's especially annoying since, as far as I'm aware, they don't seem to want to revisit most of the old cast, so Gwen and Courtney's friendship ending never even gets addressed again.
Exactly omg it makes me so mad that we’ll never get the og cast back for another season cuz courtney and gwen’s relationship ended so badly. the writers sometimes just like eliminating contestants weirdly when they want them out, like lindsay’s elimination in island. ( it’s so bad i hate it sm ) i guess courtney’s elimination was supposed to be karma but she really didn’t deserve all that. ( and this is coming from someone who doesn’t even like courtney that much ) also unrelated but i hate how the finale is two revenge contestants in an all star season, like i would’ve preferred a courtney vs zoey or gwen vs zoey finale instead but let’s be fr the finale was so obvious…
@zozoyoyo_0 I thought Lindsay's elimination in Island made sense. It was only a matter of time until Heather got Lindsay eliminated from using her for so long. And she got to cuss Heather out and realize how manipulative she was.

tdas was so heartbreaking because it had so much potential, set up so much for my fav character (Courtney), JUST to rip away her girlfriend last second.
Also something to add about her elimination, she might’ve voted for herself. Chris says that the vote was 3-2 and assuming gwen actually got zoey to vote courtney with her, it would mean Z+G voted Scott while S,C,+M voted Courtney. They didn’t confirm anything but it’s not impossible for gay people to still be real after the season is over

It wasn’t even a chart, it was more of a doodle. Courtney would NEVER do a chart so silly like that. She would put actual statistics and charts on it, with at most a basic doodle for each character.
Tbh, Mall’s logic is probably that being caught by Courtney for sexual assault is just a bonus.
There are SO MANY moments when Courtney is out of character. As you mentioned, she would never be dumb enough to make it easy for Mal to find her chart, but also, she would NEVER feed shit to anybody. Even coming back to Season 3, she was still human, not a monster. And on top of that, even if she actually did it, she wouldn't feel gross about eating it, or are all we forgetting the China episode in TDWT where she ate everything for Alejandro instead of him??? Heck, they even made Courtney go out of character in comparison to THIS season, nobody's forgetting the iconic "I never really missed Duncan but I really missed you" line, she had absolutely no reason to say that if it wasn't true. Some people claim TDAS is the closest Courtney's personality has ever been to TDI (which I understand, but I don't think Courtney in TDWT was as different as people say)
This season is fucked up for so many reasons, but Courtney's derailmnet is the one that really stick out like a sore thumb to me. She deserved better, she deserved to win TDAS, she deserved to become Gwen's best friend! Thank you, writers, I hate it 😊 (but love your Total Drama videos fyi)
Exactly. Courtney would never feed someone animal poop and etc. She was intense at times but was high maintenance and had standards. Also I feel like she should've won All Stars, on top of rekindling her friendship with Gwen and actually confronting Duncan on cheating on her. Courtney is one of the only contestants that were unfairly booted in all three original seasons, she was never voted off through a consensus.
I also like to mention that there were some continuity errors with this episode. Also the showed favoritism towards Mike and Zoey.
1. Courtney says that 5th place is the farthest she has ever made it on Total Drama even thought she got 4th place in Total Drama Action.
2. In Total Drama World Tour she says that she has an iron stomach but here she says she can’t eat disgusting food cause it’s a sundae with bird vomit, also she is lactose intolerant.

the original All-Stars line-up included Owen, Cody, and Brick, but later decisions had them replaced with Gwen and Sam, and the cast cut down to 14. However Owen still managed to get a cameo in the finale, while Cody was frequently mentioned by Sierra with his face appearing in her hallucinations. The same line-up also revealed plots that didn't make it into the season such as Courtney getting revenge on Heather, Duncan getting revenge on Courtney, the continuation of Zoey's commando persona, and Scott creating a new and improved strategy after analyzing past Total Drama episodes.
Owen was dropped because according to rumors, Scott McCord declined to voice him for a whole season.
Cody was dropped because they thought his relationship with Sierra had been fully played out in World Tour.
Brick was replaced by Sam because the latter had "more drama potential".
Anne Maria was also a part of the original cast before being replaced by an Island competitor (allegedly Gwen).
And then there's a trailer from late 2011 (two months before Revenge of the Island aired and almost two years before All-Stars actually aired), which may be an indicator that Justin, Beth, Ezekiel, Blaineley, Izzy, Geoff, Bridgette, Trent, Leshawna, Harold, Noah and Tyler may have also been considered to compete in the season at one point.

I don't actually dislike All Stars, it's bad qualities are unintentionally hilarious and it's got some fun bits. This episode is pretty bad tho, not THE all time worst, but pretty bad. Justice for Gwourtney!

YIPP EEE i was one of the people that requested td related content and even with only 2 vids abt total drama theyre both bangers and youre probably one of the most based td fans ive seen on youtube!! I was hyperfixated on it two years ago and got 2 rewatching it recently and its comming back 2… Rlly exited for the new seasons too!! i was making my friend watch every season up to all-stars (we decided to skip paketiew and just go straight to the ridonculous race) and i skipped this episode for both our sakes, i wanted to sell the show to them
i always thought it would have been really cool had they taken duncan still liking courtney not actually upsetting gwen for some reason unbeknownst to gwen herself, and it slowly burning into this idea of, once things were patched up between all three of them, the realization that duncan and gwen were into each other but also both into courtney. coulda had some baller representation and just put them all together lol
ok i said before but i got some theory.
Scott's suggestion that the Villainous Vultures should throw the challenge to get rid of Lightning as well as his switch of plans from sabotaging his own team from last season to sabotaging the opposing team in this episode seems to come from one of the season's original concepts, which would have involved Scott adapting to a new ruthless strategy after watching all previous Total Drama episodes during the interim between Revenge and All-Stars, but Scott being the main antagonist again was shelved in favor of Mal and him being simply more strategic than before was shelved in favor of making him the Iron Butt Monkey comic relief character with a romantic subplot with Courtney.

and for records (scott is parody of russell hantz a common criticism aginst scott, is why sabotages his own team, that is kinda stupid. well he is parody of russell hantz from Survivor. who sort did the same thing) (and also owen is a parody of richard hatch who one season 1 of survivor, and he is walk around naked. and got some gayish feeling and got money problem)
and The military theme of the challenge as well as a reference to a military movie in the title of the episode appear to be leftovers from the version of the season where Brick, the military cadet, was supposed to compete.
and for records i still confused about this. ok is becaouse the writer feel sam got more drama potential. i am like wait a mintue wait what. i mean you can have him and jo. and also you can brick help his team and maybe got rival with courtney.

Sam's role throughout the episode seems to be the biggest example of him replacing an originally planned to compete Owen as he's showing behavior very in-character to Owen and one that doesn't have much to do with Sam's personality. Specifically, him being the one to eat the biggest portion of his team's pancake, him stealing a part of it to keep it just in case he's exiled to Boney Island, as well as facing off Alejandro in the last part of the challenge (as their animosity towards each other makes more sense, considering it'd be a continuation of their initially one-sided rivalry from World Tour).

honestly, total drama all stars is kinda overhated in my opinion, it had it's moments
my biggest issue with this episode is that this challenge WASN’T EVEN A CHALLENGE DONE IN A PREVIOUS SEASON, unlike all the other challenges…this really shows that the writers did not know what to do with this episode lol. although i don’t really like courtney, i was hoping at least she could get redeemed and develop a close relationship with gwen, but no. we do get that for like two episodes then mal brings up a chart that wasn’t shown or mentioned in any other episode prior to this one, which irritated me so much. if they really wanted to make courtney the villain again this season, they should’ve maybe made her try to take advantage of gwen’s niceness to form an alliance or something…also i found her so annoying when she found that shortcut…like this was a terrible way to end courtney’s character, which is quite unfortunate cuz i was totally on board for gwen x courtney. this would be my least favorite season if pakitew island didn’t exist tho…
Agreed, but because of this, Gwen’s character is also ruined. Idk what happened/how, but Gwen is not her anymore. She turned from a badass girl who just wanted to play the game into a person who just wanted to be friends with Courtney?? tbh the gwucan breakup was uncalled for, as Duncan literally wanted to take things slow with Gwen? I feel like all stars had all different surprises, all which makes no sense. Like literally all the characters in all stars are ruined !! I have like no feel in this.. just what happened to the characters... Especially Gwen!! Now everyone hates her :(
