Top tier theme song. My first grade teacher had that as her ring tone, and every once in a while her phone would go off during class and everyone would lose their minds.
I’d go as far as to say the gravity falls theme song fits both dipper and Mabel really well: In certain parts of the song (the chorus I guess?) you can hear twinkling notes, and the speed + pitch that the song has makes it sound very childish, perfect for a kids cartoon and Mabel’s character. But the beginning of the song, as well as the fact that if you slow this song down it has a lot of potential to be more eerie and creepy, really fits Dipper’s character. I also love the comment about the lack of lyrics making it more mysterious!! I think that’s genius.

14:20 I was honestly planning on making a video of my own about Orange Blossom’s TERRIBLE redesign, and how much her 2003 design meant to me. It’s SO refreshing to see other people talk about it

Sorry but 2003 will always be peak Strawberry Shortcake, I don't like the fact that Strawberry's the only one that wears the hat anymore, hats are so fashionable and it made the cast of Strawberry Shortcake stand out from other girly girl shows since hats were usually presented as for boys, I felt it was like a staple of their brand since the 80's and them getting rid of all of them except for just Strawberry is kinda just made it not stand out as much anymore. - They also got rid of a majority of the cool characters aka Ginger Snap, Angel Cake and Peppermint Fizz (she may have been a bully but she was funny) - They got rid of Custard's ability to speak (she was so iconic I will never forgive them for taking her ability to speak away) - Everyone is dumbed down to just one singular trait, Blueberry's a bookworm, Lemon's a wimp, Razzberry is ditzy, etc. - Apple Dumplin' is Strawberry's cousin now? Wasn't she her baby sister before? Make up your minds! - Sour Grapes is no longer evil and has a sister called Sweet Grapes, although their designs aren't too bad so I'll cut them some slack. - Purple Pieman is nowhere to be seen, only in the comics did he make an appearance. - The International characters are gone, so no diversity to the cast outside of Orange Blossom and maybe Cherry Jam. - Everyone looks the damn same! But I do like the fact that even though Plum is assumed to be an athletic tomboy at first she is still very much feminine, she subverts expectations and proves that tomboys can still be feminine too, she was also a big part of the cast in the 80's version so her coming back as a part of the main cast was a welcome addition. And I do like the fact that they also brought back the berrykins since they were a big part of the 80's version but holy crap they are so annoying!

Grew up with the 2010 one mostly but I think all my bias comes from the fact that I still have a blanket (which is terribly faded) that has 2003 Strawberry Shortcake on it and I just. @@f3rrze3rox Oh yeah! I don’t watch Ninjago, though. Anyway, this weekend is going to be our dance-themed weekend with a dance party at LA Fitness in Monroeville today and a Valentine’s Day semi-formal at Edgewood Country Club tomorrow.
All the theme songs from Zoey 101 to Victorious were so gooodd!! I don't like the show and I don't think the theme song was particularly good but Sam & Cats theme song had its own catchiness imo
I remember people making up words for the gravity falls theme song, I wrote all of it into my childhood sketchbook. It started off with the words "don't be scared they were born prepared.." lmao
A pretty niche one I used to be OBSESSED with as a kid alongside Ruby Gloom was Frankenstein’s Cat!! I never see anyone talk about it, but it did SO much for 8 year old me’s emo fixation
17:45 Fetch! With Ruff Ruffman was my entire childhood, my dream, my only ambition in life. Now I want to go on The Amazing Race. Coincidence? I think not
oh my god, thank you for pointing out orange blossom's whitewashing. i'm black and i love seeing orange with her natural hair in the original series! but they removed the texture and made her look the same as everyone else... and not even orange, everyone's unique hair is taken away and im so 😭😭 it just really upsets me...
Foster's has to be my favorite childhood memory. However, even though it wasn't in my childhood, I enjoy the Bluey theme song which has just recieved an extended opening.
All of these are bangers, I know when I was a kid the theme for zeke and Luther had me jumping like a little menace. Also that’s where I got my start on skateboarding
@@emmajohnson7034 I watched a lot of disney channel and Disney XD when I was younger, a lot of the theme songs I would sing a long with my brother and cousins because we all watched it together at our grandparents house :)
omg, i suggested a few songs on instagram but after watching this video i could come up with SO many more songs that are going to be forever engrained in my brain, specifically CHOWDER...... *YOU TAKE THE MOON AND YOU TAKE THE SUN--*
Strawberry shortcake the 2003 version was such a sweet childhood show it’s adorable! I’d be interested in seeing you do a deep dive video review of the show? Would you do one ? Even the other songs from that shows were very decent for a kids show !
I personally rank theme songs with 4 categories: story (and how well is explained the premise), catchiness (how easily will you remember it), uniqueness (how much does it stand out from the rest) and thematics (how well does it fit the show and its musical style). And in those regards, I find the original Ben Ten and Making Fiends as some of the best theme songs.
I remember loving the episode "Say You'll Be Maztak" because I was all like "I think this is referencing those people that built those step pyramids in the jungle! The Mayans or Aztecs or whatever! I'm obsessed!"
Very much looking forward to your Playhouse Disney video!! One of my earlier core memories is going to the Playhouse Disney Live mall tour and seeing Bear in person, and Tony & Viv from Out of the Box, and so many other characters omg like that was probably over 20 years ago and I still remember it fondly 🥲❤️
I LOVED Out of the Box and it's a show almost no one I have met in more recent years has even heard of, surprisingly and almost frustratingly too. So thank you for mentioning it! It was such a big part of my childhood for certain!
05 baby here and I and I remember being really confused when Orange Blossom always had textured hair in my coloring books (especially as a black girl myself) but in the 2009 show she didn't and actually all the characters looked really different compared to my coloring books up until my mom bought us updated ones and then I remembered Orange Blossom like barely even being featured in them. On another note, very surprised that like Cyberchase or Inspector Gadget (listen idc that theme scratches my brain so good) or one of my faves the Carmen Sandiego theme, Pink Panther theme, Mustard Pancakes, or In Between the Lions (I think it was one of those reading rainbow shows? i don't remember anything but the theme though and the lion puppets being lowkey cursed), Reading Rainbow likeeee I could go on and on about theme songs that changed my personality fr
a favorite theme song for me was the original ben 10. i could still listen to it on loop for hours tbh it’s an absolute banger. anyone who hasn’t heard it needs to asap
when you were talking about my babysitter is a vampire, and how your mom didn’t allow you to watch it, that same thing happened to me but i finished it anyways but it ended on a cliffhanger and they haven’t added any episodes since. and i was in third grade and my mom said it wasn’t for my age. maybe you can try to watch it again, but they took it off netflix 😭
Thank you for ranking all of these theme songs. It's always nice seeing different RUclipsrs review shows from my childhood. God loves you. I hope you enjoy the rest of your week!💟
I was obsessed with the puppetry/claymation show Crashbox on HBO and the theme song goes SO HARD. It's a bunch of robots setting up a complex system of machines to prepare the show to start and they show up in transitions too to switch from game to game I love it
There were two theme songs that had me in a headlock, and they were for Code Lyoko and Wild Kratts. Tbh Code Lyoko had a LOT of good songs in the show, too (Angel of Mine is a banger). If you did a part 2 of this video, I would watch in a heartbeat because there are so many that people have been commenting and the suggestions are really good!
this is how i found out that so many people prefer the 2010 version of strawberry shortcake and personally im offended. i was born in 2005 but i still grew up w the 2003 version and it ATE
im still at the beginning of the video but ive been watching u on and off for a year and a half and its super cool to see you finally getting traction!! :D hope to see ur following grow more and more u definitely deserve it. love ur stuff !
10:25 Since we're talking about the Bear in The Big Blue House VA, another fun fact: I'm friends with the brother of the guy who voiced Bear in my home country! :)
OMG, My Babysitter's A Vampire. I remember loving the episode "Say You'll Be Maztak" because I was all like "I think this is referencing those people that built those step pyramids in the jungle! The Mayans or Aztecs or whatever! I'm obsessed!" I didn't know much about those cultures at the time, but I desperately wanted to know and was hyperfixating already. Now I know a lot about the Aztecs. 9 year old me would be so happy to kearn that I eventually get to learn the differences between the two cultures. Now back to theme songs. The FETCH! With Ruff Ruffman theme song was my childhood. I loved that show. And the theme to Legends Of The Hidden Temple, another kids game show. Best theme song ever to the best show ever.
Omg THANK YOU for talking about Fetch with Ruff Ruffman!! Every time I talk about it people are like wth are you talking about lol. The theme song goes hard 👏🏼
I'm kinda bummed that you didn't talk about the intro from the first season of Pokemon (specifically the Indigo Legaue era) because it's so freaking catchy to listen to nowadays. Oh and also the intro to Loonatics Unleashed (the one for the first season, not the one for the second season because that one's pretty bad) which is another one that I occasionally listen to and that one's also pretty epic to listen to as well.
I was just thinking about Fetch! With Ruff Ruffman. The actual grasp that show had on my childhood was crazy, and every time someone asked me what my favorite show was, I’d say that or Bookaboo. They, of course, had no clue what those were because they had Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network. I was stuck with PBS Kids, which probably made me a better person cuz I would binge shows like Arthur and WordGirl. I probably owe my Writing Skills to WordGirl.
18:36 Yay! I love that show! You see… OK, this has nothing to do with this video, but I’m a big NASCAR fan, and a couple hours after the Las Vegas race ended in March 2022, I went to sleep and had a dream that I was watching Sofia The First. So, the next morning, I woke up and looked for the show on Disney+, but it was nowhere to be found. And that’s because it was on Netflix. Over the days that followed, I thought to myself, “Jude, you know good and goddamn well you’re not supposed to be watching this. You’re a 2004 baby.” Ultimately, I simply couldn’t resist. The show is just too cute.
First off, thanks for the Fetch love. I was a bit too old to be a contestant, but I did develop a desire to visit some of the Boston filming locations years later. Particularly Misery Island, a small dump of a place a stone's throw away from "Studio G" that played host to many great group challenges. Remember Season 2, when the gang had to build pulleys to lift a rowboat? A few from my childhood (and a bit beyond) that I'd love to hear your opinion on should you ever do a follow-up tier list: Pokemon Indigo League. "Gotta catch 'em all!" I've heard all the other themes, but that original is still the one stuck in my head when I play the games or watch the shows and movies. "Sunny Days" from "Sesame Street." PBS was a bit more prominent in my house than the other kid networks, so I grew to appreciate Joe Raposo's playful tunes more than I probably should've. I especially like the not often heard bridge, "It's a magic carpet ride/All the doors are open wide/To happy people like you!/Happy people like/What a beautiful..." "Samurai Jack." Gives a bit of exposition at the start to catch new viewers up, but I appreciate it more for combining urban rap and ancient sitar. "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers." Ron Wasserman kicked major FOX Kids butt with this rockin' theme and only two lines ("Go go Power Rangers/You mighty Morphin Power Rangers")! He also did "X-Men: The Animated Series," and I believe also Digimon Season 1? "Schoolhouse Rock," both the "As your body grows bigger" opening as seen every weekend on ABC, and the home video exclusive opening with an avalanche of character cameos from practically every song they had! ("Come on let's follow 'em down/To that place of renown/They call it the Conjunction Junction Diner...") The only reason to this day that I can remember any multiplication tables and the order of the planets (until they kicked Pluto out of the family, anyway). "Liberty's Kids," featuring Lil Romeo of all people "giving that freedom bell a rattle!" Excellent primer on Revolutionary War people, places, and events that covers a good deal more than my school textbooks ever did. Amazing that nearly thirty years of American founding history is covered, yet the main kid cast doesn't age a day! "Curiosity Shop." This one didn't actually air during my childhood, but I came across it recently while looking up Saturday morning themes, watched both of the episodes available for it, and had an okay time with it. The theme is definitely the best part, with a digitally-altered voice asking the "Five Ws and an H" questions ("Who, What, When, Where, Why, How?") to a funky guitar riff. Worth a look just to see how much other networks didn't understand what made "Sesame Street" so special. Also, the first episode has an early version of the first "Schoolhouse Rock" song, "Three is a Magic Number," two years before its proper debut! It has an extra bit in the middle about the multiples of 3 which was cut in later airings; I can understand why, considering it seriously ruins the pace of the thing. BTW, any interest in reacting to '60s and '70s cartoon themes and tiering those?
And iCarly and Wizards of Waverly Place, too! I can tell Liberty’s Kids’s reactions to each of their peer shows getting rebooted. “An iCarly revival?” “Awesome!” “A Wizards of Waverly Place revival?” “Even more awesome!” They knew that since iCarly was rebooted, Wizards of Waverly Place was probably going to get a reboot, too, and guess what? It finally happened! That is something to be happy about, folks!
You sound like Bridgette from Total Drama Island. Whenever I close my eyes, I envision her talking about these shows. Fun video! Keep up the great content!
“My babysitters a vampire” was cancelled so the shows ending wasn’t worth it 😔 had the BIGGEST crush on Sarah as a kid 🥺 One of my favorite theme songs from a kids is Disneys “Gummi Bears” theme. Loved that show sm 🥺
I might be misremembering, but if Disney had agreed to keep airing Vampire, we would’ve gotten a season 3. Apparently the issue was that it cost a lot for the Canadian company to produce, but being on Disney soaked up a good part of that cost. When Disney pulled out, the show went with it.
I love watching your channel/shows videos cause as someone from brazil i never had noggin (here we only had nick jr right away), sprout or the hub but I remember almost all the shows that were in those channels mostly from discovery kids it must be some south american affiliated brand or something lol
Nobody brought up lego ninjago? The weekend whip is such an iconic song, with a refreshed mix getting made by the band that played it The Fold every time a new season starts whether it gets used as the opening or not-
tbf, I have nostalgic child songs on my playlist, but half of that is also because of my baby cousins i have to make sit still long enough to keep an eye on all 5 of them
I believe one of the best themes songs would have to be Steven Universe and basically alll of the songs that are sang throughout the searies are just sooooo good
12:19 @lulaloopsey when you make the Playhouse Disney video I can tell you Bear in the Big Blue and The Wiggles hold the preschool block on their backs , when The Wiggles left in 2009 like they did with Sprout that golden era left with them.
I'm a millennial, and I watched shows that I was "too old" for, mainly because I have three younger sisters (I'm 29 now, and my sisters now are 28, 26, and 21). I definitely was not the target audience for Little Einsteins, Backyardigans, Wonder Pets, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, or Higglytown Heroes, but I got into them because they were my youngest sister's favorite shows, though I would poke fun at them and make her mad. I also grew out of being the target audience for Dora the Explorer (was 6 when it premiered), Blue's Clues (was 2), and The Wiggles (was 7 when it premiered on Disney Channel, and I didn't know about them prior to it), but I continued to watch anyway due to my sisters. Also, can we talk about the Higglytown Heroes theme song and how catchy it is? It gets stuck in my head every so often and I haven't watched that show in YEARS!
2003 Strawberry Shortcake will always be my favorite! I had the DVDs growing up and watched them constantly. Fun fact, I asked Santa for a red wagon for Christmas because of Apple Dumplin,' and Santa delivered that year!
Okay right! I forgot to mention fetch with ruff ruffman! I used to love the show as a kid and I kept waiting for a season 6 and it never happened although it was planned….

@@rosesolaire5726 I prefer Ariana Grande as a singer over a Nickelodeon actress, but it is the opposite with Selena Gomez!
Some of these are absolute bops🙌
Well… it wasn’t the theme song but that “outside outside come on everybody outside” bubble guppies
Yesssss
Honestly I like the the designs of the 2009 strawberry shortcake. They all look cute!
I remember people making up words for the gravity falls theme song, I wrote all of it into my childhood sketchbook. It started off with the words "don't be scared they were born prepared.." lmao
9:59 There I am, Gary! There I am!
Also, I can’t wait to see the Playhouse Disney video! That channel was my shit!
I love the stickers on your laptop omg
All of these are bangers, I know when I was a kid the theme for zeke and Luther had me jumping like a little menace. Also that’s where I got my start on skateboarding
Oh my gosh I don’t know how I forgot about this song it was so good oh and the suite life of Zach and Cody is hat was also a banger theme songs
*YOU TAKE THE MOON AND YOU TAKE THE SUN--*
also SOO excited for the LPS retrospective
Strawberry shortcake the 2003 version was such a sweet childhood show
it’s adorable! I’d be interested in seeing you do a deep dive video review of the show? Would you do one ? Even the other songs from that shows were very decent for a kids show !
invader zim has to have the best no lyrics theme song (please watch it, it's life changing)
THANK YOU I WAS LOOKING FOR THIS COMMENT
@@everfreeadventures3383 I GOTCHA BRO :3
It's definitely a banger, on par with Gravity Falls or The Owl House.
The song “anything is possible” from strawberry shortcake is still stuck in my head.
I just love your into, it’s kinda nostalgic and I love your hair
Fun fact: The Total Drama Island theme song was inspired by The Ramones "I Wanna Be Sedated"
You should be glad you didn’t finish the My babysitter is a vampire series bc it ended with a huge cliffhanger
I remember loving the episode "Say You'll Be Maztak" because I was all like "I think this is referencing those people that built those step pyramids in the jungle! The Mayans or Aztecs or whatever! I'm obsessed!"
I SWEAR THIS SHOW HAD ME ON A CHOKEHOLD 😭
Very much looking forward to your Playhouse Disney video!! One of my earlier core memories is going to the Playhouse Disney Live mall tour and seeing Bear in person, and Tony & Viv from Out of the Box, and so many other characters omg like that was probably over 20 years ago and I still remember it fondly 🥲❤️
I LOVED Out of the Box and it's a show almost no one I have met in more recent years has even heard of, surprisingly and almost frustratingly too. So thank you for mentioning it! It was such a big part of my childhood for certain!
YOU'RE SO REAL FOR MENTIONING WOW WOW WUBBZY, i dont even remember watching it that much but it just sat with me anyway
On another note, very surprised that like Cyberchase or Inspector Gadget (listen idc that theme scratches my brain so good) or one of my faves the Carmen Sandiego theme, Pink Panther theme, Mustard Pancakes, or In Between the Lions (I think it was one of those reading rainbow shows? i don't remember anything but the theme though and the lion puppets being lowkey cursed), Reading Rainbow likeeee I could go on and on about theme songs that changed my personality fr
a favorite theme song for me was the original ben 10. i could still listen to it on loop for hours tbh it’s an absolute banger. anyone who hasn’t heard it needs to asap
omg now i’m needing you to do a 1st reaction/watch video on danny phantom. i have a feeling that you’ll REALLY get into the show’s canon & fanon lore.
when you were talking about my babysitter is a vampire, and how your mom didn’t allow you to watch it, that same thing happened to me but i finished it anyways but it ended on a cliffhanger and they haven’t added any episodes since. and i was in third grade and my mom said it wasn’t for my age. maybe you can try to watch it again, but they took it off netflix 😭
It's a bunch of robots setting up a complex system of machines to prepare the show to start and they show up in transitions too to switch from game to game I love it
PLS DO A PART 2 TO THIS I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT !
You are so true for mentioning The Collector's Theme as a killer song. I listened to thst for like 3 days straight
2:18 like it has already played in the back of my head since forever might as well have it on my playlist!
We’re gonna need a pt 2
im still at the beginning of the video but ive been watching u on and off for a year and a half and its super cool to see you finally getting traction!! :D hope to see ur following grow more and more u definitely deserve it. love ur stuff !
Omg thank you for putting Fetch with Ruff Ruffman!!!!
Strawberry shortcake 03 on top 😭💕 even though I was born that year I had all the toys when I was younger I just love it can’t tell me otherwise
YOURE RIGHT SSC 2003 is SUPERIOR i subbed for that alone
I was just thinking about Fetch! With Ruff Ruffman. The actual grasp that show had on my childhood was crazy, and every time someone asked me what my favorite show was, I’d say that or Bookaboo. They, of course, had no clue what those were because they had Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network. I was stuck with PBS Kids, which probably made me a better person cuz I would binge shows like Arthur and WordGirl. I probably owe my Writing Skills to WordGirl.
Yessss omg the way I was OBSESSED with Fetch! with Ruff Ruffman!!! The theme song goes so hard and the show was so fun.
also 6teen OMFGGGG i never would have imagined anyone else would remember that show lmao, nvr met anyone who's seen it, but i LOVED it smmmmm
A few from my childhood (and a bit beyond) that I'd love to hear your opinion on should you ever do a follow-up tier list:
Pokemon Indigo League.
I especially like the not often heard bridge, "It's a magic carpet ride/All the doors are open wide/To happy people like you!/Happy people like/What a beautiful..."
"Samurai Jack." Gives a bit of exposition at the start to catch new viewers up, but I appreciate it more for combining urban rap and ancient sitar.
HOW IS NINJAGO NOT HERE LIKE WHAT????
ah i love your channel. such a breath of fresh air i must subscribe
The weekend whip is such an iconic song, with a refreshed mix getting made by the band that played it The Fold every time a new season starts whether it gets used as the opening or not-
tbf, I have nostalgic child songs on my playlist, but half of that is also because of my baby cousins i have to make sit still long enough to keep an eye on all 5 of them
I believe one of the best themes songs would have to be Steven Universe and basically alll of the songs that are sang throughout the searies are just sooooo good
Whenever this queen posts I yelp
12:19 @lulaloopsey when you make the Playhouse Disney video I can tell you Bear in the Big Blue and The Wiggles hold the preschool block on their backs , when The Wiggles left in 2009 like they did with Sprout that golden era left with them.
can't believe the octonauts theme wasn't on here, that had me going WILD as a kid
I love watching your videos so much!! They bring me so much nostalgia
If you ever decide to make a part 2 for this, Class of 3000. Anything Andre 3000 touches is gold, and this theme song (naturally) is no exception.
23:18 damn this unlocked HELLA memories for me jesus
Fosters home is such a good show/part of my childhood I really wish people talked about it more!
I used to love the show as a kid and I kept waiting for a season 6 and it never happened although it was planned….
sooo mad no one said hi hi puffy ami yumi. just SO so good, i literally listen to it sometimes to this day and headbang. absolutely amazing
