  • In this video I will show you a few ways you can easily calibrate your battery without using 3rd party software. This should help your battery show the correct amount in the event of it running down too quickly or changing charging values without reason. This assumes that your battery is good and does not need to be replaced. Check out the FAQ's and Related Links below !!

    hey, , my laptop is thinkpad x270 my battery works fine but when it becomes to less than 50% (45-49% or so) the battery suddenly drop to 6%. but the battery duration from 99% to less than 50% is normal or could i say its longer than usual, i assume the system dont read the battery percentage properly. my question is, is this issue fixed when im using battery calibration? if so, how can i charge to 100% to reach one battery cycle when its looks like lenovo have default setting to set the battery to stop charging at 99%.
    and another question, how to fix when my laptop every time after i unplugged the charger, it become laggy. the only solution is to put in to sleep and turn it on again and it works normal afterward. thank you.

    Hi,
    Hope you are doing well
    I have a hp elite book 820 G3 and it has been working fine but 3 days ago I shutdown it and when I tried to start it one day later it's not turning on. When I press the power button, all the lights turn on for 1 second and then suddenly turns off. Then this behaviour keeps on repeating automatically. I mean it turns on for a second and then turns off all by itself again and again. Yesterday I thought maybe battery was down but that was not the case. I kept on trying pressing the buttons and pressed the power button for a bit longer which stopped it from automatically turning on and off. After a while when I again press the power button my laptop started working perfectly. So I thought maybe it is fine now and I shutdown it. Today when I tried to start again the same thing started happening again.
    Again I connected the charger, pressed the power button for quite a while but it wasn't turning on. After a while just like yesterday when I took out the charging pin and few minutes later I tried to turn it on it started working perfectly. While I was working on it, due to a slight jerk the screen started showing colour ful lines and it was stuck but when I tried to force Restart it the same irritating on and off process started happening again. In the past this had happened that while moving with the laptop the screen gets stuck and these colourful lines appear on the screen.
    Do you have any idea what's going on. I really frustrated because I have projects with deadline and I know that in my local market it's really hard to find a genuine laptop repairing shop

      2. If the screen starts to error when moved, it or the LCD Cable is most likely loose. I would open the computer up and unplug the LCD Cable at both ends. Then plug them both back in, making sure they are secure.

    • @PC_Monkey
      @PC_Monkey  7 месяцев назад

      1. What happened? What brand and model computer do you have and whats the issue with it?
      2. Just so you know, liquid spill situations can be hard to troubleshoot just one issue as multiple different components and boards including the motherboard itself, could all be faulty.
      After a liquid spill, you want to first make sure the computer is 100% dry. You would turn your computer off immediately by pressing and holding the power button until the computer turns off. Then you would disassemble the computer as much as your comfortable with, at least trying to remove the bottom case. Then you would turn it on its side and let dry for a couple days. Have you done this yet or are you sure the computer is dry?

      A Chromebook would be a different / more simple procedure than this. You would usually just let it charge overnight after the purchase and it should work fine. If not, its most likely an OS issue. I would try to factory reset the operating system. However if its new, it may be a battery or motherboard issue. They should replace the battery if its not charging.
