@shweta verma don’t worry about time, aap jitni der tk merji direct power pr apna laptop chala sakte ho but make sure ki aapka charger Inverter wale Socket se connect ho. Kyuki agr by mistake koi electricity cut/fluctuate hua toh aapka laptop direct off ho jyga.

There was no visible damage to my battery. Let's proceed. DAMN this was unbelievable. I had given up on my laptop lo-o-o-o-ng ago. I followed your instructions ZAM, POW, Zi-i-i-ng my laptop is working as well if not better than it did before the second battery's functionality faded away. Wish I had been smart enough to check RUclips out before I tossed the first. Very good! Thanks! I will admit though that I may not have tried your instructions if I had read about damaged batteries since "damage" can sometimes not be visible. Glad I took the chance!! Thanks again.
Dell D600 battery (C1295) With a jumper between Ground and the SYS PRESENT pin I can measure voltage and discharge the battery using a R/C charger /discharger. However I can not charge at the out most pins. No current flow goes into the battery.
If I put the battery back in the laptop it will charge it full again. Would you know if I need another jumper to allow the battery to accept charging?

The thing is that when we are putting a lot of effort in making such video, why we left it incomplete. You should have shown the last part where you followed the necessary steps, inserted the battery again and then you should show the battery percentage, charging, not charging, plugged in not charging and what happened the to battery option in device manager. That would have the complete step.
My charger is showing always 0%. When i plugged in the laptop works but when i plugged out power is gone
Smiling Piano: If you're saying this doesn't fix it -- that the battery won't charge after doing this, then the battery is bad and needs to be replaced (if the charger works, as you indicate).
The good news about this trick is that it resolves software issues re the battery calibration, so you ONLY replace the battery if it actually goes bad (and they all do, at some point).
Given that some people buy new batteries and they STILL won't charge until this trick is done (per various comments on such videos), this is a BIG DEAL -- because at that point you're completely stuck without this trick or a tech. to fix your laptop (maybe charging a lot).

If you have a laptop that always says that its at 0% and its not charging even if its plugged in, you most likely need a battery replacement; This most likely happens because the battery is way too old meaning that its no longer has a battery life (this means it dies as soon as you unplug it). This usually happens after 5 years and may happen before its at 5 years. After about 4 years, if you notice the battery dies abnormally fast, (it dies much earlier than usual) then consider replacing the battery because that's a sign that the battery is getting old and will soon completely die out. My friend had a problem with his phone battery, it would die in an unpredictable way because it would either last 3 minutes or 2 seconds; He charged it to 100% and it hit 1% and turned off the second the charger fell out of the outlet, after that the charger unplugged at 18% and lasted for about 3 minutes before turning off.

When I unplugged the power cord with the computer ON and then subsequently plugged it back in my computer started recharging. I do not know what happened but thanx so much for the video. It got me to do something to fix it and I am eternally grateful!

When i connect my charger it starts charging but after 5 6 minutes screen gets dim and shows like no charger connected, and within 1 minute shows charging back, sometimes shows fully charged but when i remove the charger and plugs in its depicts charging again...what should i do...but my laptop doesn't immediately shut off after removing the charger though it takes 5 minutes to shut off...when i restart it there is 80% battery...

What about the drivers that are been deleted.? Do I need to reinstall them manually?

I already replace new battery but still plugged in not charging but i used charger 19v 2A instead of the original charger because the original charger is broken thats why i used different charger. Is it possible that the charger is the problem?

@MINAKSHI DUDEJA as you said even when battery is 40% charged it’s showing that battery fully charged, means your battery’s maximum recharging capacity degraded and it is upto 40%. So according to me now your laptop’s battery cells are almost damaged, i think you should consider to replace your laptop’s battery.

Do you delete the drivers while having no batteries in or do you put it back in after u tested to see if it turned on
@tsai, I had deleted the drivers when battery was removed. Because when we insert the battery, then battery drivers installed automatically.
My Hp Laptop shows same problem after these methods. My battery model HT03XL. I have used only 1 year. Charging adaptor ok. Do you think battery dead ?
@Riyas p, yeah it may be possible that your laptop’s battery is dead, but to make sure take your laptop to the service centre.

@Reynaldo Flores - Good Afternoon, yeah this is a common method for all all Laptop’s/Notebook’s.
If charging problem occurring due to software/drivers related problem then it will solve your problem.
Otherwise generally this happens when laptop’s battery is damaged. In that case you have to replace your laptop’s battery.

I uninstalled the drivers and inserted the battery and turn on the lap and it shows the battery chargin for 5-6 seconds then it stopped at 0% then agin i check the device manager then i see that the driver that i uninstalled is automatically reinstalled .Lap is not connected to internet .how can i fix this pls help

@@KaushalNagpal i bought a new battery from a different brand that is not original and i have this problem but then i change to the original and i have the same problem. They both don't get charged and with both batteries my laptop dies when the cable is unplugged.

@israel lopez it could be due to the hardware problem (cable, plug or power port).
It may also due to loose connection between power cable and AC adapter. So try to disconnect and reconnect the power cable and AC adapter.

Can we use different model battery for replacement , as for my model the company had stopped it's production ??
@Deep Gandhi, yeah you can use, but number of battery cells should be same. Battery shape should also be same, so it can properly install.

@Deep Gandhi ok, then do one thing, take your laptop to the shop from where you want to purchase battery. There check for similar size battery. If battery working properly then purchase it.

@Deep Gandhi, Bro it’s upto you. Although if you’re going with HP Original battery, it will costs almost double than any local brand battery. And both batteries will give you one year warranty.

@Pragadeesh Kannan, if power icon isn’t visible then please follow these steps:
1. Firstly right click on desktop and click on personalize settings.
2. Then from Side Menu choose Taskbar option.
3. Then on Taskbar page scroll down and in Notification Area section click on the link “Select which icons appear on the taskbar”.
4. Then switch on the Power icon button.
Power icon will appear on your Taskbar.

@ Soumya Prakash Verma, this all happens due to the problem in either software or hardware.
# Software problem: due to any pending windows update, outdated drivers etc. That’s why to solve this problem we make sure that there is no pending updates of windows and then we simply do reset/reinstall our laptop’s battery driver.
# Hardware problem: due to any damaged part like charging adapter, charging port etc. Or due to the damage of laptop’s battery. When laptop’s battery cells are damaged then their recharging capability no longer exist. So to solve this problem we have to replace our laptop’s battery.
