I tried everything to fix the error in the bios for my Alienware. After watching your video, the issue has been resolved. You more than earned my subscription. Thank you for the guide!
Millions of thanks from me!!! My Acer laptop was not turning on but the power light was just blinking. I tried re-plugging the power and every possible stuff and looked over this vid and now my laptop works fine.. thank you so much.. you got a new subscriber ❤️
Oh my god your an absolute legend. my laptop was stuck at 92% and wouldnt charge, i tried turning on a high performance game and unplug the charger to kill my pc, but it didnt do anything. i tried this and it worked, thank you soo much.
Thank you so much. It works like a charm. I have used the SIM ejection tool to reset the battery. Also your description is real easy to understand. Hats off!
I bought a new Lenovo P16 laptop and turned off airplane mode as well as autodetect airplane mode in Lenovo Vantage. My laptop still has issues sometimes where the charger is disabled and I end up having to put a paper clip into the bottom of the machine to reset the battery. My question is how often should I be resetting the battery with a paper clip with modern laptops made since 2022? What is the acceptable amount?
THANKS GMODISM. The way I see it, is when the laptop's original charger failed, I replaced it with a QC3.0 charger which could not correctly sense the battery's full/empty limits. This eventually caused the laptop to randomly shut-down on 70%. This is where the LAPTOP BATTERY RESET technique & a few Battery Conditioning techniques brought the battery back to life... Lesson: Use a charger with the correct Specs, or the battery will prematurely fail....True?
Yes, either the charger is to weak and it won't charge at all, or never to full capacity, or too strong and if safety systems are damaged it could start a fire, avoid cheap crap chargers and use as similar specs you can
hi thanks i plugged in the wrong charger and my laptop died, when i put in correct charger it wont start up - or take charge, after i did this it worked perfectly thanks so much :)
Thanks a lot! Can it function the other way? Can i make my laptop deliberately stop charging batery to maybe reduce wear? (bios doesnt have any batery features)
If your laptop has a Li-ion battery like most do that are younger than 15 years, they it is good to micro charge it and never let it run completely out and try to not charge it to 100 but 95%
My laptop has two batteries and the second one is not charged. I unplugged it but it still not charged. Should I put the first battery out too which is inside laptop?
mine was saying 94% pluged in but not charging, at first i simply restarted the pc and it fixed it saying it was charging and then later it was 100% or said fully charged, ok but why was the battery draining in the first place when i always have the power cord plugged in? anyways a couple days later now and i got the same problem saying 89% plugged in but not charging,, again why is it even draining if im not using the battery???
Question... I have a laptop for which I have bought a new battery. With battery installed, the laptop will charge the battery to 100%, but seemingly only once. Machine OS is windows 7 and I have run "powercfg -energy" to examine the battery status. Powercfg -energy is telling me that the battery has a designed capacity of 47520 charging cycles and it's last full charge was at 47520. This seems to be an error because the battery is new. I do not receive a "plugged in not charging" message. Upon start up, the computer tells me that it is plugged in and the battery is charging and it will reach a fully charged (100%) status. The computer will run off the battery after this initial charge, but if I remove power after a few days, the computer dies because the battery is no longer charged (although battery status remains at 100%). I am guessing because the computer believes that the battery has reached it's max number of charging cycles and after charging once upon start up, does not charge the battery again resulting in the battery losing it's charge. Do you think that the solution in this video may solve my problem?
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! I didn’t know WHY my laptop wouldn’t turn on. I reset with the pinhole, held the power button for 20 secs and it came on. The battery was critically low so I’m giving it a full charge before I use it. I called a computer repair place…not naming names…but it rhymes with greek quad…and they told me it would cost $129 just for them to look at it, even after I told them what the problem was. Needless to say…that’s a NO!
@@identityshadow you have to reset it by turning it off completely unplug and holding the power button for 20 seconds on models without holes 👍 mine is still broken I’ve had no luck
@@GMODISM nope, I checked every point, and I bought a new battery on March, so it can't be the battery. I was soo happy because I thought your idea was working... But only for a fee seconds... And then... None.
@@amparoguardiola if the control unit chip inside the battery is not authorizing to receive power, the laptop won't send any charging voltage to the pins, basically it is a bricked battery, usually this happen when the battery has a few years already and I think the idea is to buy a replacement one. My battery still holds energy maybe 40 - 60 minutes, I suggest not to mess with it, I didn't know but it's a whole science of people who do this job with complex software and interfaces to unlock the battery, if it's new laptop it even uses codes to reset the battery and inform the laptop module that it's brand new this enabling charging it. I guess you are running with AC power with no issues. All laptops run with no battery in place.
Hy I would like to ask you about the same pb with my hp zbook G2, I did the same method but without any results, I just bought a New battery yesterday, works fine but when it drains it refused to charge again in contrast with the old battery that won't be detected, anyway I did power reset as I mentioned before also I did delete the drivers and I try a lot of solitons, so my question is : should o try a new battery or it might be an internal pb in the machine perhaps that the new battery is detected in contrast of the old one. Thank you for your time, any help is appreciated.
bro 1st step is not working and 2nd step is not available in my laptop. please solve this i am very sad because my laptop is not charged even i plugged.
In actuality you need specialised hardware (i.e. EV2300/EV2400) with software (Smart Battery Workshop or Battery EEPROM Works) to really reset a laptop battery. Specifically the BQXXXX IC that is located on the PCB board - to which the 3 pairs of 18650 cells are connected to. 😑😕😒 I have an assembled/saved playlist with videos on this topic on my channel.
Empirically, mislabeling an act even one specific to certain hardware model(s) does not constitute any less efficacy in intended process of determination here, though better (more efficient, accurate, reliable, professional, informative, etc.) methods do exist.
depends, if you are trying to make a Stargate or time machine, then probably not. But if you are trying to reset or drain a similar or the same board of residual current that is throwing off the circuitry from reading and charging the battery properly, then it has a high probability of success.
BMS battery reset, but at this point you'd better buy a new battery pack because you have to open the battery pack to reset the BMS. Try to open the battery pack with nail acetone and if you can manage it to open it up intact then give it a go.
Hey mr know it all better than everyone else... It may not be the battery... It could be a faulty charging issue. An alternator gone bad. Or simply a lose connection. Sure you can go get a new battery but that may not solve your issue. But go ahead and toss money away if you want.
