Hello, I just had this issue and was looking up how to fix it. This worked for my HP laptop. First, Shut down the laptop completely and wait a few seconds. Second, Unplug the charger from the Laptop. Third, Hold down the power button for 15 - 20 seconds. Fourth, plug the charger back in.
I knew it was an OS independent issue as I let it plug all night and it didn't charge and also because I have linux on it, so I went straight to method 5 and it worked! Thank you very much
hello can you help me? If my laptop is an HP brand, if it is turned on, the charger will be disconnected, but the battery can be charged if the laptop is in the off position
Battery percentage works out to be 79% & None of the methods work. Troubleshooting says nothing about issue with battery. Even opened the back, disconnected battery & reconnected. Still battery status 0% and won’t charge😞
Hi, I made the step of uninstall the ac adapter and battery drivers in my ideapad gaming 3i a couple of months ago, and the notebook entered in self healing mode. After that, the battery worked fine But now, I got the same problem, trying to fix with the same steps, but it is not working.
None of the methods work. Troubleshooting says nothing about issue with battery. Even opened the back, disconnected battery & reconnected. Still battery status 0% and won’t charge😞

@@DKAZYT7 It fixes automatically. But here comes a great problem. My Laptop started to lag and couldnt even play a video properly when plugged out and after plugged in it works normal. I tried editing power plan but yet still it didnt work.

@@nex6491 Administrator command prompt try the command powercfg /restoredefaultschemes replace / with - if it didn't work.
@@nex6491 Power options - Change plan settings - Change advanced power settings - Processor power management - Max processor state - 25%
