@@stpaley I don't feel the need to chant I just live my life with the belief we are all as equal as we can be and don't need to have a pity party about which race has more importance.
@@stpaley No one said black people are less important. You brought race into the discussion. I queried as to why it matters what skin colour someone is, so why bring it up? That's all chief.
Someone had a very good theory about the ending, he states his confession doesn’t matter because everyone around him is just as bad as him, they’re all psychos, they would rather act like he did nothing and is just a loser so that they can continue profiting, because him actually being prosecuted for his crimes would make them lose profits, even including the apartment saleswoman, near the end was obviously a psychotic break, even he realizes “I couldn’t have blown up that car with my gun” he also doesn’t have multiple names, he’s just seen as such a lose that no one bothers to remember his name and thinks he’s someone else
37:37 I could be wrong but I think it might be because Patrick looked and acted just like all the other Wall street guys so people would often get him confused with all the others (so many of them have the same style, the same glasses, the same hairstyle. Even their job titles were all the time), which in my opinion gives more evidence to him doing all the murders because he had such a good alibi of people thinking he was somebody else at the time, I think his lawyer knew about the murders (after he confessed over the phone) and covered it up by cleaning up the apartment (which might be why the woman selling the apartment acts really strangely towards him once she realised that it was him, like she knew about the bodies). I really love this movie just because there's so many possibilities and we'll never know for sure 😁
This is one of my favorite books because I'd wager it does the best job of replicating the internal dialogue of a sociopathic narcissist that any story ever has. Patrick Bateman spends most of the book describing people's fashion choices in detail and talking about how attractive women he runs into are. He had maybe two instances of brief self awareness and they all quickly become self-serving.
Did you ever figure out who the one actor was that you couldn't place? The gay guy that freaked out Bateman in the bathroom, the actor was in Silicon Valley as Gavin Belson. And if you ever saw Rose Red, he was in that too. As far as reading the book, oy vey. I did last year and it's a tough read. Much of the time it reads like a technical manual, to convey his cold detachment. But when it really gets into the descriptions of the murders, about halfway through, I got viscerally ill. I've never had a book upset me as much as that one, and I've read a lot of wild shit.
38:23 The 2 main theories are either that it was all real and Patrick did kill all those people both for kicks and to stand out among all the rich people around him who wear the same clothes, have the same jobs, look the same, eat the same food, have the same amount of money and so on but his murders go unnoticed because those around him are so self obsessed they don't notice or care. Or he's an insane rich guy who deals with the boredom of his life by fantasising about killing people he hates.
I think Bateman actually killed those people. The reason why he has so many names is the same reason he got away with everything. Everyone is always getting everyone mixed up with their peers. They couldn't figure out who Paul Allen was at the beginning. Then DaFoe told Bateman that someone spotted Paul having dinner in London, but it turns out he was mistaking him with someone else. Paul thought Bateman was Marcus. That guard thought he was Mr. Smith. His lawyer thought he was Davis. I think the lawyer was confused as to who he was having dinner with in London. Or the lawyer could've been behind the clean up of the apartment and said he had dinner with Paul in London as a "hint hint, shut the hell up." That could've been why he was calling him Davis and passing the phone message up as a joke. Basically telling Bateman what the cover was without actually telling him. Friends in high places sort of thing. Or it could've been all in his head. But then what about the detective? Such an amazingly interesting movie.
It wasn't in his head the director Said he did kill everyone They keep mistaking his name and people on wall street all look the same . So he literally got away with murder
I love how y’all said of course he knows Ed gein during the scene with the quote because he got who is was by wrong. That quote was actually by serial killer Edmund kemper lol
I don't like that he was saying "is it real or is it all in his head" a while before the movies twist about it. That kinda made me not want to finish watching But an otherwise pretty good reaction.
This woman is very sick and tired of watching you flip your hair...u know...the hair that isn't even in your eyes. Look at the entire tape and watch your face every time you do that she gets more and more annoyed each time
The fact that people are more upset at the dog being killed than the homeless person speaks volumes.
@@stpaley black people aren't more important than others. That's even more warped than these people for only getting upset about the dog.
What else you expect from people who look like clowns.

Some are more shocked by the movie having a dog stomp death because it is less common in a movie.
The woman thinking everyone looked familiar but unable to place them matched one of the themes of the movie.
After I watch this reaction I need to return some video tapes!
Let's see Ben Tramer's video tapes
This couple looks like they come from the 2000s...please I want to go back.
Bro panicked because Allen’s apartment was more expensive than his 💀😂😂
2:51 Dexter uses Patrick Bateman as an alias when he buys M99 to inject his victims with in the show.

"I feel like two psychos are facing off here" that absolutely killed me 💀

When Batman killed the Joker, you didn't expect the Green Goblin to come looking
