- Our first of many Wedding Filmmaking Behind The Scenes videos. We film our weddings with the Blackmagic pocket cinema camera 6k Pro (bmpcc 6k pro) and Ursa Mini Pro 4.6k G2. The pocket 6k Pro is a workhorse especially for weddings. This vlog was a little spontaneous in terms of planning but if you have specific questions, please leave them in the comments and I'll answer in the next wedding filmmaking bts video.

The camera settings I added to the shots were not the actual F/T Stops. I was just referencing what lens I was using in general.
For being 11 min long it felt short because it was entertaining the whole time! The way you lined up the BTS with the actual shot along with the settings was brilliant!

That really is why I’m so outgoing at weddings. Once you break past that “oh here’s the camera guy” barrier most people put up, they are more themselves and you get even better footage.

Not for everyone. But I’d start with small ones. See how you handle it or be with a group. Be 2nd unit or be light assistant

Great stuff bro'. If you have to keep one between the bmpcc 6k pro and the Ursa g2 which one would you keep ? I always loved the image from the G3. It looks “thicker" more dense to me...
Hands down I would keep my G2. The dynamic range is superior and yes, the colors to me also have a better look. More depth. I love the pocket though for its low light performance but would still pick the G2 if it was one or the other haha
Great work. Any advice for using the 6k pro in prep of the groom or bride? Primarily darker spaces/venues or hotel rooms?
Thanks so much. Whenever I’m in a super dark room/hotels I always shoot by the windows. Even if I stage the brides makeup at the very least. I also use my aputure MC lights. You can also shoot 24fps too.

Just seeing this. Congrats on the first wedding! If it makes you feel any better, I’m literally nervous before each wedding. Once the day gets going I feel better but always slightly worried haha.

Justin we just started our business. Thank you for the wealth of info you share, it has been a huge part of us feeling successful in the early stages of getting ourselves started. We just finished our first wedding and learned a lot! Right now we are shooting with two GH5's and one UX180. I gotta tell you, the windows in the ceremony in this video look intimidating. Were you running ND filters inside for the ceremony?
Oh shoot. Sorry for the delay responding. Just seeing this comment. Welcome to the wedding industry. I’m so glad I can provide valuable content for you.
So for this wedding and most weddings where there are big windows, we do film with 2 stops of ND to help better expose the windows. Sometimes we are only able to shoot from the sides to help get really good exposure of the bride and groom.
These are the steadiest G2 handheld shots I've ever seen. It pays to lift!

I typically only use the gimbal for the ceremony through first dances. Occasionally I’ll throw it on during the dancing just to get some dynamic wide shots.

Oh now I’m never at F8 lol. I usually just move laterally to keep focus. But I always use peaking to see.

So you only used two camera angles on this wedding? And good lord the URSA on a monopod! I need the link because I didn’t think a monopod could support the weight of a 12k.
Oh yea this one we only had 2 cameras. Now I run 4 for the ceremonies. I use the ifootage cobra ii monopod with a manfrotto fluid head
@9:08 what light are you setting up here? I just watched your video on using the Godox ML60Bi lights. This looks like something similar but AC powered?
Oh those were aputure 120s I think. I don’t use those anymore.

@@skymakai true. The 120s are brighter but aren’t bi color. They are also a lot larger than the Godox ones.
do you shoot drone in 60 or 30 fps
In this I think it was 60fps. I honestly can’t recall haha. Now with the mavic 3 I use 50fps in 5.1k
whats your configuration for focus this in crane?
are you referring to the follow focus system I use on the gimbal? I use the tilta nucleus nano motor with the nucleus M left handle. I talk about it in this video.
