If my personality defines how I react to an external stimulus/event then how much in control we are of our own reaction? How far can we divert our reaction from an auto/subconscious (I guess) reaction to an event in our life. We often hear people saying that hard times make us stronger. But in order for that to happen we need to react in a certain way that makes us grow in that situation. It is basically like some people grow out of the situation and some people grow into it. Eg. Two sons of an alcoholic father- one grows into an alcoholic and abusive person(like his father) and the other one never touches alcohol. If the situation was same and no exception was made to any of them then how can their perspective differ in such a broad way that lead to exactly opposite futures. How much can we blame our personality for our reaction/behaviour and how much is it intentional? Is intentional really our intention or again our subconscious program/personality? I really don't know what I want to conclude and I have mixed many things but still can you just show a way to get things a little bit cleared.
Remember be the person you want others to be. That way you inspire them. If she is a mediocre cook, be a chef. If she doesn't know how fix a car, be a mechanic, if she can't do maintenence be a handyman, if she can't garden be a gardner. And from there you can show her the way.
