The Sims Stories is a series of laptop-friend Sims games. Life, Pet, and Castaway Stories each have their own story modes and new Sims 2 worlds. You know how I feel about story modes in the Sims series. These games are REALLY somethin' special.

Because EA wasn't the original company that owned the sims, they bought it and then ruined it.
because they can release broken, buggy dlc every couple months and make tons more money.

It's incredible. TSM is peak sims insanity when it comes to the writing, but the stories are definitively the runners up 🤣
It was weird that EA/Maxis made laptop-friendly versions of the Sims 2 because as a kid , we never had super beefy desktop or laptop PCs and The Sims 2 with a couple of expansion packs ran perfectly fine. This wasn't the case with The Sims 3 though 😂.
This was my experience too - The Sims 3 ran so horribly on my laptop. It fried my motherboard trying to run it 😭
Every Christmas and birthday was me begging either for more ram or a new graphics card. Can't say I miss that part 😄
SIms 3 was actually ahead of its time by only running well on PCs that didn't exist yet :)

I love how all of the old sims game were about finding love🤣 I know there’s more lore but I always love how that’s a part of it hahahaha
Makes it feel more like a movie, since those always have an obligatory romance plot.

Fun fact: after finishing "Best in the Show" you can from the neighbourhood view check Diana and Precious to learn that the seesaw is actually Precious's weakest trick and it's the least trained in it.

Castaway Stories was my FAVE out of the "Stories" games. I remember getting the game back in 2008 and I stayed up allllllllllll night until I completed it.

I remember being a wee youngin playing Castaway for PC only to pick the local you picked as a love interest and when they moved in together, finding out he has the romance aspiration and the first thing he wants to do is kiss 3 sims and have 5 love interests at the same time 😂 Been picking the girl option ever since lmao

Life Stories was my intro to the Sims 2! I replayed Riley's story soooooo many times as a kid
the sims life stories was my true intro into PC Sims game play. I loved bustin out for the GBA and Sims 2 for the DS, so when i saw it in Walmart i got my dad to get it for me back when i was like 9. I literally played it for HOURS the first night. I remember getting stuck at the "im so charming" want with Dylan and figuring out what i was supposed to do like a week later! Thank you for covering this! i really wish they made more of these because they were so good individually and together!!
I miss when the sims had storylines in some of their games. I love free play mode but those classics like bustin out or urbz were sooo good. I hope they add plots to the next game or have another stories at least
Sims Life stories was my first sims game. The nostalgia🥺!!!! I also feel like you would LOVE Baldurs gate 3. It’s not cozy like your usual games but the world and characters have such compelling stories
The first four of these felt like a Hallmark film, and the last one was like a lost Tomb Raider movie. But either way, I loved the video

Life Stories was my first Sims game experience as a child and it will forever remain my favorite! 😍 Growing up I had an abusive dad so ngl I probably spent like most of my childhood playing it on my sister's pc when she went out with her friends, it was a perfect escape from reality...

I can't even express how much I love these games. 😂 I'm a life-long TS2 player, but these are so perfect when you just want something to take your mind off things for a weekend. And they are INSANE. 🤣 Riley's story is iconic. After TSM, these are like peak Sims ridiculousness.

I LOVED Sim Stories!!! Bought all of them again in Origin way back when. The story for Life Stories is still one of my favorites of that series.
i remember seeing the cd for the Sims 2 Life Stories at the mall while my dad went out to have some photos printed. I begged him to get it for me and we got it running on my little netbook. My sister and I spent hours playing this game that summer. Good times
I love these and even have copies of them myself. I pretty much have all the sims games and expansions for PC except for sims 4. Never got deep into sims 4. But I even own Sims 1 complete collection sealed and Sims cast away stories sealed. They’re becoming more rare sealed these days

Life Stories was my Sims 2 and man i miss it so much! It was the best sims era of them all.
I remember having this game and not being able to play it on the laptop/computer I had at the time I was so sad. Eventually it did work but super fucking slow and it sucked. So this is bringing a lot of memories back. Thank you, I love it!

I can vividly recall back then when the stories are freshly released, I was still a kid, and I was so torn between the EPs and these... every time I get to have a new sims game I always ended up getting the EPs instead. Although I get to have castaway in the end, life and pets have always been a mystery for me. good times, good times...

I never really played Pet Stories and Life Stories, but i did play a lot of Castaway Stories, as i didn't have a console so i couldn't play The Sims 2 Castaway, so The Sims Castaway Stories on PC was my fix for that.
(not entirely sure if the regular Sims 2 had content from Castaway Stories, i didn't own the Bon Voyage Expansion as a kid, only got it later on through the Ultimate Collection on Origin.... i mean, the EA app)
I had The Sims Stories games on my laptop at the time, while i had the ''full'' Sims 2 game on the family PC.
I liked how the Story games adjusted the graphics settings on the fly based on if i'm playing using the battery or plugged into the wall, along with showing a battery indicator in-game at the top right (i think) and also warning me to save and quit when the battery percentage got to 10%.
The full Sims 2 game doesn't have that, asfar as i know.
This was my only way of playing sims2 growing up. Forever in my heart ❤️
You should definitely try out the Final Fantasy spin off games like Crystal Chronicles. Also similarly the Dark Cloud/Dark Chronicle series, it’s a great fantasy series that’s sort of like a mixture of FF and Zelda that I could see you really enjoy playing! 💚
Only just started the video… but the stereo music brought on the sense memory of my game slowing down. I had to always delete stereos!
this version of sims 2 was my only sims in a childhood (until sims 3), I spent very enjoyable hours with that stories

I recently played castaway and I really loved it
I loved the sims 2 spin offs! 😭 and in general. Now that I have ditched sims 4 I would rather go back to the sims 2 or the life/pet/castaway stories
Those were amazing short stories each with their own sense of comedy lol
I never even knew these "stories" existed until just now and I've been playing the sims since the original.
Glad the title got changed, I almost passed thinking it was a mashup of the other games ideas put together

i clicked on this video so fast, this was my first ever sim game i played! so long ago that my memories of it are pretty chopped up, but i remember sitting on the floor of my moms bedroom and playing it on her round white & blue iMac (yeah, this game was able to run on a computer from 1999 in 2009)
I remember i broke my save somehow because i had my sim go to the store, and while she was there i let all her needs fully deplete. The game didn’t let you die on public lots, so it forced her to take a cab home, which saved the game, and as soon as she stepped out of the cab she died. Then the game would reload to the last save, which was her stepping out of the cab and dying. I somehow didn’t figure out how to just start a new game, so I never played it again
i was obsessed with this game i hope my mom didn’t throw them out because i’d love to play it again
I wish sims 4 sulani island had a castaway game play where if you swam in the ocean during a storm. You'd get swept away and be lost, so your family wouldn't be able to find you until you became a mermaid or made a raft.
