My Sims Kingdom was my entire childhood, I remember being so young that I could barely read and just being absolutely obsessed with all of the critters, lore, animation. Literally everything about the game just gives me joy.
Same for me! That was the first My Sims game I’d ever played. I played all the others later on. I particularly loved how Cuteopia and Spokane were polar opposites. I often wondered why no one cosplayed up as the characters. I mean, My Sims isn’t quite as well known by as many people like The Sims, but there is certainly a small amount of fans that still love the spin off games.
It really should come back! I feel like it could be a cute animal crossing like sandbox. Especially with the customization, and if they expand it… it would just be awesome.
kingdom and agents on wii were the absolute pinnacle of the series tbh (for me agents is like babys first rpg). i would soooo love them to come back esp agents that was gonna get a sequel that got cancelled bc im so upset about the ending still to this day. i think kingdom is def my fav tho i spent hours just decorating my own island and playing pretend in on it as a kid lol
i personally do feel like story driven stories with costumization is actually EXACTLY what we need! it was exhausting to play acnh when there was no story left, which was really really quickly!
MySims Agents has always been one of my favorite Wii games EVER and I still think about what a tragedy it is that they never made a sequel. I absolutely loved the progression of the story, exploring all of the different settings, and interacting with all the characters in a way that impacts the plot. Even the mini games, which I normally hate, were pretty enjoyable and balanced to me. But you’re right, the ending is so horrible and the fans deserved so much more😭

Yes yes yes, i've played the ds versions when i was younger and i actually didnt know the wii versions were so different. But i havent had a ds in years and i miss them soooo much, the mini games were the absolute best
In mysims og, if you become best friends with the townies, you will unlock special blueprints for the regular townies and the special outfits for the retail sims. I would always try to become besties with Jenny for her rocket ship bed and Roxie for the bee outfit.

I had the DS version of the first MySims, and it truly was a whole other game! The MC had just moved to a town and the mayor needed their help making the place regain its appeal. Through mini-games and interactions with characters and tourists, we could unlock new buildings and zones (including an island with a casino, a forest, a mountain, a beach, etc.). Decorating was nothing like the Wii version, but we could decorate and craft furniture by choosing the item from a list of objects in editing mode. Also, we could still personalize furniture (patterns and colours) in the furniture store.
They can't. They sacked the ENTIRE team who have partial ownership rights to that specific IP. I want it back SO MUCH but I also know the team who created it is VERY gone. (I had friends working for EA when it was a Thing.) I miss MySims. 😭💔

I loved MySims on the wii, had it on the DS as well I think and I'm pretty sure it was like... a completely different game? Gino made cakes, you couldnt build your own furniture, like from what I remember the DS MySims was just a whole other game haha also loved this video! It was so fun and cute to see you go through these games

Can't speak for the original, but I had MySims Kingdom DS and it was an *entirely* different game from MySims Kingdom Wii. (It was also kind of disappointing--I feel like it should have been longer than it was).
i hold it so dearly in my heart that if i had the money in the future i would hire people to help me make the sequel using the planned storyboard they revealed a year ago. idk anything about anything but releasing it for free with no monetization shouldnt be a problem lol

i received my sims party on DS as a gift as a kid, and it was my JAM! i worked sooo hard at those minigames with my DS lite's slightly messed up touch-screen
Yes!! These games were my childhood too! I so wish they would start making mysims games again. Something deep down is telling me they would do just as well, if not better, than animal crossing if they played their cards right. I personally think focusing on the characters they already have and developing their storylines would have been a better move than mysims party or skyheroes (even though I love those games too).
Oh - Morcucorp is actually the organization you are trying to take down in the main quest line in Egypt in Sims 3 - World Adventures. Very cool cross over/world building. Would love to see my sims on mobile.

As much as I don't understand how you could not love mysims agent, I've got to agree on the ending. My sister and I finished it 100% bc we absolutely loved it and even then it was tedious. We finished the story before finishing all the side quests so we ended up letting our game play doing nothing, waiting for the pop ups lmao. And then we got the end wich left us wanting for a sequel. There was talk of one where you would go into the nightmare crown, that would have been awesome. Overall i dont think the lack of sandboxing justifies such a harsh critic on the story and stuff but to each their own as you said 😢
I wasn’t a child when I played these, but they were games I played just after I had my first child. It was a chill game to play on our Wii during baby naps. They kept me playing Sims games when I couldn’t play the main Sims series.
On the og MySims game performance, from what I've read the PC port on Origin also ran as poorly as the Wii version. The DS version ran fine, but that was because it was a totally different game. No clue in the Blackberry version though, didn't even know that existed until this video. 😂
This is so cathartic for me. I couldn’t for the life of me remember what this game was called. I had it on the family computer, I played it when I was like 5. I have vivid memories of switching from this, to an ISpy haunted house game, to a cat game I can’t remember the name of but I know the music was just cats meowing. Now I just gotta figure out what the cat game was called

MySims could be SO MUCH if only the company cared the slightest bit of what the community asks. It could be bigger than AC if they add the right elements and mix things from the og mysims and kingdom. Or have the questy side of kingdom as dlc for example. I really wish they'd give it a shot. Mysims has the character and style a lot of cozy games miss imo (but maybe that's my nonstalgia talking lol).

MySims Agents is unironically in my top 5 games of all time ❤ It was the very first game I ever bought with my own money when I was like 10 years old. It was on sale at my local toy store and it just captivated me, it looked so cool. Somehow I was able to convince my mom that I was really sure I wanted it (mind you, I didnt even have a Wii at this point yet, it was due for pick up the next week😂) So glad she allowed 10 year old me to spend those 10 euros on this game, it was one of the most magical gaming experiences Ive ever had and still replay it regularly with fondness ☺️

I used to spend my summers in middle school playing mysims, twilight princess and mariokart on my wii. in fact, while watching this I ended up pulling out my wiiu and booting up mysims to play while i watched 🥰 thank you so much for making this video and the nostalgia rush i'm now having while making barbieland :)

As much as I don't understand how you could not love mysims agent, I've got to agree on the ending.
My sister and I finished it 100% bc we absolutely loved it and even then it was tedious. We finished the story before finishing all the side quests so we ended up letting our game play doing nothing, waiting for the pop ups lmao. And then we got the end wich left us wanting for a sequel. There was talk of one where you would go into the nightmare crown, that would have been awesome.
Overall i dont think the lack of sandboxing justifies such a harsh critic on the story and stuff but to each their own as you said 😢
I wasn’t a child when I played these, but they were games I played just after I had my first child. It was a chill game to play on our Wii during baby naps. They kept me playing Sims games when I couldn’t play the main Sims series.
The soundtrack of My Sims brings back so many memories immediately. It just feels so comforting to hear it
On the og MySims game performance, from what I've read the PC port on Origin also ran as poorly as the Wii version. The DS version ran fine, but that was because it was a totally different game. No clue in the Blackberry version though, didn't even know that existed until this video. 😂

This is so cathartic for me. I couldn’t for the life of me remember what this game was called. I had it on the family computer, I played it when I was like 5. I have vivid memories of switching from this, to an ISpy haunted house game, to a cat game I can’t remember the name of but I know the music was just cats meowing. Now I just gotta figure out what the cat game was called
i would love to see you play the DS counterparts of those with them, they’re practically separate games! typical console to handheld “port” that’s hardly a port at all

I LOVED THIS SERIES! I especially remember customizing my personal island in mysims kingdom for HOURS! I also used to build gates around sims I didn’t like so they couldn’t roam freely 😂
MySims could be SO MUCH if only the company cared the slightest bit of what the community asks. It could be bigger than AC if they add the right elements and mix things from the og mysims and kingdom. Or have the questy side of kingdom as dlc for example.
I really wish they'd give it a shot. Mysims has the character and style a lot of cozy games miss imo (but maybe that's my nonstalgia talking lol).

liss i gotta be honest. i LOVE your long videos about different games like this, and im not usually someone who likes to branch out with videos i watch. tbh i'll watch anything and everything you upload. you have such a great personality and are super entertaining to watch! ok enough of that i just wanna say that these games look so cute and i had never even heard of them before besides from when Kay played the original my sims. they look so cute and i think ill give them a try now! or hopefully they bring back my sims in a remastered version :,)
MySims Agents is unironically in my top 5 games of all time ❤ It was the very first game I ever bought with my own money when I was like 10 years old. It was on sale at my local toy store and it just captivated me, it looked so cool. Somehow I was able to convince my mom that I was really sure I wanted it (mind you, I didnt even have a Wii at this point yet, it was due for pick up the next week😂) So glad she allowed 10 year old me to spend those 10 euros on this game, it was one of the most magical gaming experiences Ive ever had and still replay it regularly with fondness ☺️
