I've never been scammed in ACNH, but I think I came up with a way to solve the problem of getting scammed... kinda. When the message saying it's time to go home appears, hold the HOME button and go into sleep mode, and then your switch will lose the connection and revert to the last time the game saved. If it didn't autosave after you gave away your Nook Mile Tickets or whatever it cost, you will get your NMTs/whatever it costed back, but you won't get the villager or other item that you exchanged your NMTs/other items for.
One time on miiverse, someone invited me to their island on new leaf. He had the entire upgrades to everything, multiple public works projects etc. I noticed he had jacobs ladders so I took some and even stole his pears cause for some reason they were so hard to get😭😭. I tried giving him away in servers but I think people assumed I was bullshitting to give him up for free 😂 I wouldn't ever charge anyone for a villager! I would help strangers get their dreamies through the amiibo phone NFC hack for a good while, some people got a bit pushy about it (it took about 20 or more mins to even set up! I had to get an empty home, scan the amiibo and go through 3 time travel days of inviting them and crafting items) and I would just tell them I didn't have to take time out of my day to do this for them for free!

Another issue with the target Amiibo cards is that a lot of employees put them on the shelf anyways and didn’t uphold the limit. So people showing up to the stores and resellers just ended up selling them out and the people who thought they successfully got them for pickup earlier that morning were then being told it was canceled because the pickup employees went to grab their orders and since they were on the shelf and sold, they ended up not being there for the pickup orders. Which is absolute bullshit considering the fact they weren’t even meant to be in store and the pickup people bought them first.
I miss the mean villagers soo much🥹my only problem with treasure islands is when multiple ppl are coming to the island back to back the waiting and loading screens takes so damn long😭

I actually got Raymond easily. I made sure I had one of each personality on my island except the one that Raymond was grouped up in. Got a visitor in my campsite and it was him. o.o it's actually easy if you follow that.

I wouldn't neccessarily call that entire phase of the game "a tutorial," but I would say the game doesn't really become the more standard Animal Crossing experience until you get K.K. Slider to perform for the first time.
