Console Sims 2 was foundational to who I am lol it was so fun! I loved your Bustin' Out, MySims, and Urbz videos as well. You're making me crave that good old classic "binge Sims every day for 12-16 hours for 3 weeks straight and then don't touch it again for 7 months" vibe
fun fact: when i was a kid i made the boat captain fall in love with and marry a guy (i can't remember which one) and soft-locked my story (golden wants) progression maybe there was a way to fix it but kid me was stuck on the gay boat 🏳🌈
The Sims 2 on DS and PSP hold a specific niche in my heart. Just so weird, yet so pivotal to my personality rn. I'm excited to see you go through the DS version!!
I loved the sims on the psp! It was so creepy but I loved it, I never got to finish it because it would always crash at a certain point so I’m super excited to see if she’s gonna play it
OMG!!! My 8 years old inner self is crying. Really missed this Sims 2!!! I still remember the fire capacity for a house if its too full. Still being paranoid now even playing TS4, though its not applicable. What a memory… 💕
That cinematic opening cutscene lives rent free in my head. I can still hear the music too...oh man. I was in loooove with this one! I never made it past the boat and ever really made it TO the boat. It was so good. I remember getting Sims 2 Pets and omg...I played that every night for weeks on end and me and my friend would play it too whenever I'd go over to her place or vice versa.
One thing I hated about the food was even if you did use the ingredients it didn’t always completely fill your stomach so you have to constantly feed them with high-quality ingredients. Also being able to “flip the bird” was so funny to me as a kid😂
I didn't like that either, I mean I could understand with soup or small dishes like hors d'oeuvres. But when I used 3 ingredients for stir fry it would only fill me up to half but if I used more meat or veggies it would fill me up close to full. The only recipes I can recall that filled my Sim up to full in one sitting was meat sandwich, sloppy joes, and meat burrito.
One of the biggest things I remember from this game was hear paramores song pressure over and over again (which made me fall in love with paramore) and literally the second u started playing I can hear pressure playing in the background 🤣🤣
I loved the cooking on the Sims 2 console, at least you didn't make the typical PC version of limited food. You can make stir fry, sloppy joes, gazpacho, you can even make bread and many assortment of sweets on the console version. The foods also had bonus effects both positive and negative, the only thing I didn't like about the food is that it only had a few food models, I appreciated the food models for soup, cause that was new but as for sandwiches or main dishes such as stir fry and shabu shabu there is no distinguishing models for foods like that, they just look the same.
I love the PSP version of the Sims 2, it's so hard to find a copy of it online anywhere, when I search for it I get the Sims 2 Castaway instead. I loved the story driven quests and mini games, the dark stories is what had me hooked from the start. I wish the Sims on PC had taken that kind of approach with Story Mode the same as the PSP version.
Love this game growing up. Me and my sister finally came back to this and completed the story mode! Whenever I think of the early 2000s aesthetic, I always think of this game
My sister and I loved Co-oping this game as children! We were at a loss for what “woohooing” meant and decided to see for ourselves, only for our dad to walk in right as our sims were doing it XD We were grounded from gaming for a month and my dad hid our copy of the game on the top shelf of his closet.
Thank you for covering this game!! Brings back so many great memories! My brother and I were so obsessed. We spent one whole summer chilling on the rug in my room just messing around in this game. I remember it being my first opportunity to customize the lots and it blew my mind. Again thank you! You're awesome :)
I love how autonomous the sims are in The Sims 2 console. I’ll never forget playing it on the PS2, taking a nap and then waking up to my sim literally banging out two job promotions.
The Sims 2 on PC was my first exposure to the series as well. The base game was very substantial and I had a ton of fun without expansions for a long time. I also had The Sims 2 Castaways on DS and remember enjoying it as well.
I discovered the sims from the sims 2 on console.. I also discovered Paramore cause of the sims 2 on console. My sims really enjoyed listening to Pressure
Dropped EVERYTHING to watch this when I saw it in my feed!!!! This game was my childhood, along with sims 2 pets and sims 2 castaway 😍 so much fun watching you play all of these games!!!!!!!!
I love that you are also on a play the console versions of Sims kick as well. So much nostalgia. Also the grave was probably Torin, I found if he died, since he is needed for goals, he automatically just re-alives but leaves the gravestone. I love that you also employed the make friends one day, and then work one day. I agree about how annoying making and keeping friends is in this game. I will say in bustin out the career you chose (moviestar) has the most friends needed (12) some only require 6 friends for the top career. Whenever I played Sims 2 console as a kid I always maxed the skills at the first two lots since keeping friends was so hard later on.
I played this game religiously. To the point where I kept track of the cheats and everything. and one day I used those cheats to make a specific household rich in Freeplay. And I had a sim named Diego. He had tan skin with black sunglasses, blond hair and i remember him SPECIFICALLY having a yellow topshirt with a red undershirt. And this sim was corrupted for no reason. By corrupted, I mean *any* time I moved out the family he was in, and put in a new one, HE'D ALWAYS COME BACK. If a sim went to work, they'd have a chance to come back as him!! Their name would be the same but they'd have his entire appearance and traits! I tried deleting his original family but that seemed to make it worse. Worse, as in, now OTHER sims were becoming the other family members. I just didn't touch the corrupted lot after that. The lot in question was 8 Rockpile RD.
I'd love to see you cover the sims 2 psp game! Had a real interesting story mode with strangetown as the focus. Maybe it's the nostalgia from playing this as a kid, but the eerie vibe and interesting locations are something I've been missing from every sims game after that
What I really loved about this game was the coop! Besides story mode, that's what set this game apart from the PC version. Also, I don't think I ever got past the ship in story mode. I just couldn't get the romance stuff to work^^
The Nu Metal station on the radio introduced me to Trivium. I remember me and my cousin (who doesn't like Metal) arguing over which station to listen to. Good times. 😂
This game taught me the word "Aspiration" and "Felicity". Also I never completed the gane because I didnt understand what the platinum want "Woohoo a Sim in Bed" meant. Oh and one of the chair item in the shop is "Eggalitarian".
Omg ❤️💗 this is one of my favorites! I never could get to the end when I was a kid. I loved seeing you finish and the end scene. I also love the way you play and talk. Glad I found you!
Sims 2 on console was superior in a way that no other is as fun for some odd reason. It was wacky with a charm! Also the character were naturally chaotic like real people and not robot like in later games. They had personalities! ❤️
The western set was one of my favorite places to try to make into a little “town” of my own lol but it was a super pain in the butt when you first start out there. Watching you play makes me want to boot up my old game and play again too! I love how you dressed up XY Alien that was so cute! Great video :)
i am literally bawwwwling with these videos omg you're reminding me so much of all of these games i played when i was a kid!!!! so nostalgic, such great content from u liss
I remember playing thus qs a kid on the GameCube and having a blast, the friendship requirements always seemed to get in the way and I would get stuck in the wild west neighborhood lol.
I've 100% that game twice, I love it so much! My trick for friends is "kidnapping" my target onto a couch, blocking them with any item so they can't get up , direct control my sims, and sit them on there together and they would get more friendly until 100 pt. Also, people living on the current lot doesn't lose friendship!
This video is indeed sponsored by Bokksu but it is also going into my playlist of comfort Sims videos that I can put on while I make dinner and try not to burn my house down (I have already failed twice) 🥰
23:16 I'd get tired quickly pronouncing XY-XY's name this way. Especially in german, where Y is pronounced "Ypsilon". Now imagine saying Ex-Ypsilon-Ex-Ypsilon every time... We dubbed him "kse-kse" first before moving over to "Man-Man" out of fun.
Had both sims 1 & 2 on GameCube, I forgot how nostalgic it was. I stopped playing once the 3rd came out because they took away 3rd person control. I hope they bring it back on the 5th
Your walkthrough explanation helped me appreciate the game's rich experience. The human simulation is mind-blowing and we see the era of new media. I've managed to obtain a copy on PC and play this game not only for entertainment but also as an intended research/study topic for my master's in interaction design. The last time I played this game, I was in school and couldn't understand the game experience and explored only NFS & GTA game series.
Sims 2 on PS2 was a fav of mine because I found out that the game didn't care if you were married already, you could do it again. So I made it my personal goal to marry every sim before going to the next lot. I don't think I ever finished the game, but my friend and I love that we could be such proficient polygamists.
What annoys me though about playims 2 on console is the fact you can NOT have everything you want because of the fire thing and space. 😤 But thats Sims 2 on console for ya i guess. Lol. Oh and fact you can't build your own house with out the cheat knome cause you need it more for money before your sims can even move in. And finding the cheat knome for that isn't that easy unless you look it up in the internet on a sims site i think. I could be wrong. NOT sure. If anyone knows where you can find that cheat knome or a FASTER way then please let me know. Could be useful. Ty. 👍✌
Don't forget to checc out the Gameboy Advance version of The Sims 2. It's completely different to the DS version in both story and gameplay, but just as good (I can't decide which is the better game though).
When the heck is EA going to get the message and bring sims (1999) to modern computers! Built in fan base. I'd buy the full collection in an instant, and I'm sure so many others would.
I love this game. I prefer playing in 3rd POV tho cuz I'm used to play rpg XD I remember my character die when someone playing guitar with fire and suddenly it's fire everywhere

That "gaming the entire winter/spring/ summer break" vibe from childhood just hits 😢❤
Made you little baddie 😏
OOOOOO I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE!!! This was my first sims game ever for PS2 and it holds a special place in my heart
The Sims 2 on PSP was amazing, except it was super slow to load some things.
fun fact: when i was a kid i made the boat captain fall in love with and marry a guy (i can't remember which one) and soft-locked my story (golden wants) progression
maybe there was a way to fix it but kid me was stuck on the gay boat 🏳🌈
This was my first ever sims game and I absolutely loved this game, so much. I played this game so much as a kid. One of my favorite games
Same man
I love the storyline in this game. Imagine someone saying "I can't move out until I beat my roomate in one game of fooseball"

"And now we're done with Hector's whorish antics."
"And that just leaves me! What do I want? I wanna change my outfit. Buy a blender."
One thing I hated about the food was even if you did use the ingredients it didn’t always completely fill your stomach so you have to constantly feed them with high-quality ingredients. Also being able to “flip the bird” was so funny to me as a kid😂

You probably need higher cooking skill to make more fulfilling meals. That used to be the case in all sims games vefore ts3
One of the biggest things I remember from this game was hear paramores song pressure over and over again (which made me fall in love with paramore) and literally the second u started playing I can hear pressure playing in the background 🤣🤣
I love how the fashion in sims 2 is cool again - like come on y2k!!!
this game was formative media for me and was my introduction to the sims series 😭every few years i go back and replay the story mode i love it so much
You caught on fire as Billy bc it was his own grave you danced on. I forgot if you do that the game just goes “so you wanna be dead again huh?”
Honestly you must try Sims 2 PSP it used to terrify me as a child! It was pretty dark but it’s amazing storywise!✨
I love the PSP version of the Sims 2, it's so hard to find a copy of it online anywhere, when I search for it I get the Sims 2 Castaway instead. I loved the story driven quests and mini games, the dark stories is what had me hooked from the start. can't wait to see u play the handheld version of The Sims 2! it had such an eerie, uncanny but also cozy feeling to it.
She died by an anvil and a piano? Might as well of said "killed by a cartoon road runner".. "beep beep!"
My first Sims was the Sims 1 on windows 98 but the Sims 2 along with pets and castaway was my childhood honestly love your channel BTW keep it up
this was my first sims game!! 💚
Dropped EVERYTHING to watch this when I saw it in my feed!!!! This game was my childhood, along with sims 2 pets and sims 2 castaway 😍 so much fun watching you play all of these games!!!!!!!!

Love these videos. Perfect after a stressfull day at work with dinner.

I'm biased but the GBA ports were always the best. I dug out my copies of Bustin out, Urbz and the Sims 2 and they're still so entertaining!!
omg thanks for the bokksu deal bc i've always wanted to try them but never wanted to pay the full price 😭 got one box i cant wait for it to arrive
This was my favorite game ever, so many memories the nostalgia is too much😢
Love it when girlies are sim-ing and thriving 🧡 another great video!!
Let’s just get into that all the clothes were FREE‼️ that was the best😭🤣🤣🙌🏾
You can really see that this game was supposed to be The Urbz 2. The animations form create a sim and in game are really similair to the Urbz
I'd love to see you cover the sims 2 psp game! Had a real interesting story mode with strangetown as the focus. Maybe it's the nostalgia from playing this as a kid, but the eerie vibe and interesting locations are something I've been missing from every sims game after that

This may have made me reinstall sims 2 for PC and purchase physical copies of the game just now...thanks Liss!
This was my first sims experience! It makes me miss my GameCube so much😭😭
These sims videos are giving me life
You gotta do Urbz Sims in the City at some point if you dig Sims games... it was different
I actually did 100% this game. Yes I was that bored person. Honestly though I was having so much fun playing it didn't bore me at all lol.
Sime 2 and sims 2 busting out r FIRE!!! i at least had 100 hr in story and play for fun with cheats codes
Sims 2 on the ps2 was my first Sims game and it's so nostalgic to me now
Console versions of Sims 2 pets is really different, too
The Nu Metal station on the radio introduced me to Trivium. I remember me and my cousin (who doesn't like Metal) arguing over which station to listen to. Good times. 😂
There are actually 3 different and completely distinct handheld versions for GBA, DS, and PSP
I grinded this game out to 100 percent completion on my PS2. Still have the file on my memory card. Idk if I was bored or dedicated lol
This game taught me the word "Aspiration" and "Felicity". Also I never completed the gane because I didnt understand what the platinum want "Woohoo a Sim in Bed" meant. Oh and one of the chair item in the shop is "Eggalitarian".
sims 2 console and the sims urbz on DS are 2 of the most nostalgic things for me
not gonna lie THIS MY FAVE CONSOLE SIMS IM EXCITEDDD!
I remember playing this game.. I never beat it without cheats lol it’s one of the better sims games… this one and urbz
Crazy that The Sims 2 came out during the same time as The Urbz, the graphics are so much better in The Sims 2
I need Sims 2 on PC videos now!
You should play the sims 2 for psp also, there is the sims GBA games as well.
Please do the sims 3 & the sims 3 pets console ports, everyone pays them dust but they’re probably the best
loved this video! can't wait for the one on sims 2 ds- that rat suit 😏
"Sul Sul, welcome to Shoreline Trails! Glad you could visit, friend."
"Yeah, sure, whatever, which room's mine?"
"Wait, what?"
i remember i didnt know how to play it, so i ran around the house until i died and was a ghost
I'm amazed how complex this seems to modern console games lol
This was my first sims game on ps2 back in the day was so fun
Please pay Sims 2 Pets on PS2
I spent so much of my childood playing this and Bustin Out!
sims 2 for console was the first sims i ever played i loved it and really wish it was possible to play it on ps5 still love the game
Dang i wish all this was in the sims 2 pets this seems like so much fun
6:06 LMAO 🤣🤣🤣🤣
this series is the best nostalgia i adore it
Off topic but what camera do you use? ❤
YAY!!! HI!!! love your vids so much girlie thanks for playing tribute to my childhood
I don’t think I ever played story mode.
Loved this vid!
Omg ❤️💗 this is one of my favorites! I never could get to the end when I was a kid. I loved seeing you finish and the end scene. I also love the way you play and talk. Glad I found you!
When I play my sims 2 on ps2 console, it’s so blurry, how did you get it so clear?!?
i emulated this one! on ps2 my loading screens were 100 years so for my sanity i ended up emulating lol
ALL IM GONNNA SCREAM IS THE COOKING SYSTEM IS FIRE!!! No pun intended. Also this was the first sims game I brought with my own money.
the checkers stare off is so nostalgic
sims 2 on ds let's fucking go!!!!!!
i am literally bawwwwling with these videos omg you're reminding me so much of all of these games i played when i was a kid!!!! so nostalgic, such great content from u liss
Great vid, brings back so many memories! I can't wait for you to cover the madness of the handheld versions!
This was my first ever sims game. Sims 2 on PS2. Shaped who I was as a person lol
I've spent so much time playing this game with my sister. Even though the game lacks some of The Sims mechanics, we had lots of fun. 😊
This video is indeed sponsored by Bokksu but it is also going into my playlist of comfort Sims videos that I can put on while I make dinner and try not to burn my house down (I have already failed twice) 🥰
Sims 2 on DS was the first game I got for my Nintendo. Seven year old me was so confused.
The sims 2 was so creative with the objects
23:16 I'd get tired quickly pronouncing XY-XY's name this way. Especially in german, where Y is pronounced "Ypsilon". Now imagine saying Ex-Ypsilon-Ex-Ypsilon every time...
We dubbed him "kse-kse" first before moving over to "Man-Man" out of fun.
Yes!! My first sims game!
18:36 - For a split frame you actually had enough money to support a single human being! :D
Lol. Oh and fact you can't build your own house with out
the cheat knome cause you need it more for money before your sims can even move in.
Please play sims 2 for the PSP. You'll absolutely love it. it's NOT the normal sims 2 experience and is more like Urbz. it'll blow you away.
