The fact that Joja run is much more comfortable that regular run is pretty accurate to real life. Working under a corporate entity is much easier than having to manage your own business. But it’s literally the very thing that’s slowly killing you and the environment
That's what I was thinking. Completing the Community Center caused unnecessary stress. Like I know I can always wait til next year for the crop I missed. But STILL
16:07 irony is Pierre wants to become "The Man" Later dialogue in the game he expresses his wishes to open up his shops across the country. Basically his dream is to become Joja Mart but "His" Joja Mart.
Its why Stardew is such a brilliant satire of capitalism. The giant conglomerate and the "small business" entrepreneur are both bad and motivated by greed, but just at different points on the ladder. Eric makes us think he is going for a "big business crushing the little guy" thing but at the end he makes the point that they are fundamentally the same.
@joepops727 And the Player Character is not an "entrepreneur?" Investing in the community often for your own ends. Eventually having a life far grander than anyone else in the Community. I think you're looking at it kind of backwards. Jojomart actually being far less evil than the game tries to convince you of. Pierre does absolutely nonthing for the community, doesn't even provide a single person a job. Meanwhile Jojomart will organize the construction of community projects, hires what would be the unemployed in Stardew Valley. It's kind of the Steambot Chronicles effect which has a similar Anti Capitalist narrative in it but because people don't undertand how liberal economics work, actually fail to see the game actually doing the opposite. It actually shows the importance of Private Business. How opening up a community helps it grow. Steambot in particular has a quest line which you discover a commune in the mountains. They ask you to help build railroad to the outside world. After doing so the community changed dramatically, they had access to new technology, resource and wealth. Some in the community left ie the Commiservatives who wanted to keep their old communal ways. Which the game tried to make you sympathies but in actuality helped prove Capitalist criticism of Socialist being a CONSERVATIVE movement... it's why the earliest Socialist were Conservative Socialist as it's since been coined. Socialism was founded in opposition to the rise of private business, the middle class vs the old Nobility and old Commercial Guilds which dominate Feudal Society. Only reason Socialism isn't associated with Conservatism today is because Liberal Economics dominated the 19th/20th century. So to be s modern Conservative is to Support Class Liberal thought. It's why it's more accurate calling left wing Liberalism as Progressivism not Liberalism as it's most often opposed to Liberalism.
I love how she was "not trying to achieve too much" and plays 100x better and makes way more money and progress faster than I ever could hahaha.... so effortlessly.. love it.
I actually had fun with my Joja playthrough. The consequences of joining aren't really that bad, nobody except Pierre actually cares, and the community still improves by the end. It would've been more realistic if Joja corp completely took over pierre's store, marnie's ranch, Robin's carpentry business, and the fishing lodge as you ascend through the ranks; and the townspeople all become blue collar workers for Joja. Someone should make this mod right now lol
Doing the Joja route now for the first time, and I agree with this sentiment. As it stands, you really could just root for Morris, as you know nothing about him...but I dont know many players who root for Pierre after getting to know him. There should be a few more consequences. Otherwise its just an easy money route if you dont want to do a bunch of collecting. Would be nice to give Morris a complicated personality, and see where that leads. Which, I dont hate. Did the Community Center twice, and didnt feel like restarting it for this playthrough. Its a good alternative route, and makes you ponder which is really better / who is really a better person.
Well put my foot in my mouth....I thought Morris was like Gunther....only out from behind a counter during cutscenes and unable to be interacted with...til I got to 10:12. Was searching through comments to see what people's thoughts were when I made that comment.
A joja run is the best time to do an overall "evil" playthrough where you make all the dick-moves in the game, including: -romancing EVERY NPC in order to get the special "cheater" cutscenes -divorcing a spouse -turning your children into doves in the witch's house -force Krobus to move out of the sewers into your home to be your roommate -picking all of the obviously bad dialogue options -putting the mayor's purple shorts in the luau soup -putting the shorts in the grange display -trimming the shorts to wear around Do all the things you never want to do in a normal playthrough that would make you feel like a horrible monster! There's no better time!
@localmenace3043 krobus talks about having to hide from society and loving his sewers and missing them, which is why I used the word "force", even if it's a bit dramatic In reality, most people never think or know to move him in with you, and it's just perfect for a run where you try things you never do
I remember there was some mods making joja more realistic like having cheaper prices like real big companies It does make the joja route easier but I like when things are more realistic and joja feels like an actual threat
21:57 I saw someone on reddit say they got to year 3 and just realised you can upgrade your bag, they were playing with only 12 slots 😅😅 I’d go insane too
I love that they coded him a little neurodivergent (a bunch of hobbies he has abandoned, awkward lines and a hard time making friends, hyperfixation) as well as giving him some lines verging on nice guy territory-but without making him a complete loser or a joke. He has flaws-real ones, big ones-but he has a lot of personal struggles and ultimately just wants to succeed and help people while he is doing it.
It's not made well. It looks like it's written by a 5-year old. Bad business guy is actually a good guy who wants to make friends... and he loves his mama... pathetic
@unemilifleur ton of excessively detailed lines that are not realistic for his initial character. He's not a neurotic with self-esteem problems who doesn't know the consequences of his actions. Nothing hinted at that in the original story.
@pushista9322 why are you so intent to hate on this mod 😭 someone put effort into it and while it's simple and not super deep it's still impressive and does not deserve this much hate. You need to chill lol
When I saw the Morris cutscene where he brings in the coupons I was so annoyed that the game doesn't ACTUALLY give the player a 50% off coupon from the event . . . that I actually walked over to Joja Mart, bought only half the quantity of what I'd been planning on picking up, and used SMAPI commands to spawn in the other half. XD
The Morris backstory in this mod is actually heartwrenching. Justice for Morris tbh. Only thing every villager in The Valley has in common is the fact that they probably deserve better.
I did a Joja run not that long ago and honestly...i found it quite nice. With the community center i always worry about missing or forgetting seasonal things, therefore the Joja route is a bit more comfortable.
I just started my first Joja game. I felt guilty at first (lol), but it's great to not have to worry about "Oh, no -- I need that fish I just sold for the community center! What am I going to do?" It's actually kind of fun.
If you walk into your bed, and hit "no" when it asks you if you want to sleep, and just stand there until you close your eyes you can take a nap and get your energy back up without having to go to the spa or eating!
I had no idea you could wear it as a hat! I always carry it. When you get an iridium pan you get so many good items! There's also enchantments you can get which makes it even better
My Joja route my character was named Evil of Hell Farm. Since the only thing cheaper at Joja is sunflower seeds, I decided to marry Haley. This playthrough made Haley my favorite romanceable character. Also, Evil had wild luck. She found two dinosaur eggs before Spring 20 of year one. She found a prismatic shard also in spring year one. Due to that, I bought the desert first and got my galaxy sword, destroyed the mines, and then got my greenhouse for starfruit and fruit trees, and have slowly been converting the greenhouse to ancient fruit. Evil got access to the sewers super early compared to all my other playthroughs too, like I met Krobus before the winter event. It's still one of my favorite files, but that's because Evil grew on me as one of my favorite characters. Her counterpart, Good of Heaven Farm is still working on his marriage candidate of Shane. Good is a himbo who thinks he can fix Shane.
When I started playing the game again, I always told myself "You only need 1 more achievement, just man up and take Joja route" and failed miserably every single time. And I have spent more than 1.000 hours of my life on this game and had more than 10 saves. For all the players had completed Joja route, you have my respect.
They ain't bad. Given how the town was before them, they help make improvements to the town. Give job to people, and some villagers like shopping with them. They got great didficult to get products like auto petters.
Why does Morris have all the hobbies of the other marriage candidates? Art like Leah. Piano like Elliot. Photography like Haley. Coffee like Harvey. Video games like Abigail. Who else does he mimic?
Probably to try and relate to the other villagers, but it came off cringe and backfired. He kept everything despite this, but photography he was actually good at so he kept it.
It might be a metaphor for corporate consolidation and vertical integration. JoJa owns more than just grocery stores. Odds are that JoJa owns and operates both stores and factories that produce products for each of these hobbies and Morris as the ultimate avatar of the megacorp is either trying on his own evolution or is forced to via company guidelines to do it all.
Joja haters are hypocrits, because in the real world 99% of people are going to buy from Amazon or Walmart, after they visit a local store during business hours that has no workers! Lazy locals always get mad at losing business to stronger competition.
Joining Joja can give some decent benefits like being able to buy the autopetter, and its fun to have a playthrough focused entirely on the accumulation of wealth
with the marry morris mod it sorta looks like after quitting joja and running away you’re just so entranced by discount bezos that you rejoin the cult and idk i love that its so unserious
I've been thinking about doing an evil playthrough. Just move in and cause chaos. joja mart, No farming, digging thru peoples trash in front of them, pants in the soup. See how much they can tolerate me before they kick me out of town!
- panning gives you a chance for a lucky ring so early on - doesnt even need to take up an inventory slot because you can wear it as a hat so you have no excuse to not carry it with you
or Wal-Mart, or any other large conglomerate you can think of. It's probably closer to Wal-Mart, because it's exactly what they have done in countless communities across the US, and sadly, very few united to block them. Though the corporate part at the beginning is probably more reminiscent of corporate work for Amazon (and apparently they don't treat their white collar workers much better than the people working in their shipping centers or delivering packages)
Fun fact: in the Marry Morris mod you can redeem him by taking the community centre root. I’m currently doing this on my stardew valley world. I luv my silly guy
For a Joja run, she was actually taking it super easy. If she had wanted to get stupid about min maxing and garbage like that, she could have been done with all of her goals Fall 1, easy. Of course, that would have made it less fun to play and to watch, so... 🤷♂️
The sunflower thing is really clever because thats an actual trick big box stores use. The store my mom works at had to stop selling a certain brand of candles because Walmart started selling them at a loss
IIRC that's called a "loss leader"...taking a loss on a certain product, one they may have too much of, in order to lead people into the store to possibly purchase more profitable items.
Oh. OH. Maybe I can’t bear looking at the Junimos and then turning around and helping Joja (who left the skeleton of a coworker at their desk two cubicles down from ours)
5:51 that "F no" threw me way off!! I laughed my ass off cause i was under the impression that this was typical monetized kid friendly gaming content 😂 thank you for that
Probably way too late to add this comment, but just wanted to note on the energy depletion in the beginning of the game. It's best to chop down trees and leave the tree stumps as it's not worth how much wood you get from the stumps versus how much energy it costs to chop the stumps down too. Plus, leaving the stumps keeps on making new trees grow in the area too.
Based on the way you play one counter-intuitive way you'd able to improve your profits is don't plant anything until day 15. Spend the first day clearing as much of your farm as you can selling all of your fibre and retaining only the stone/wood you need for chests and furnaces get forageables for energy, then from day 2-14 fish all day every day, on non-rainy days fish in the mountains keeping the chub for energy and on rainy days fish in the river for catfish only selling what you need to get the better fishing rod stockpile the rest for when you get the fisher/angler perks, then on day 15 you can buy a ton of cabbage seeds and have a ton of fish for energy to help with the extra watering. Even the worst fisher can make 1500+ a day from fishing and it doubles as a way of getting energy for other tasks as well.
i still havent played stardew yet but this is SO interesting. also maybe the reason sunflower seeds are cheaper at joja is bc they are a mixture of both seeds for farming and seeds for eating? i could absolutely see a company 'saving money' by trying to combine one or the other to extend shelf life of the product. this was a lovely vid.
Hope you got the game and did the community center route where you can tell Pierre to punch morris in the face lol. This mod really puts him in a different light tho, it's refreshing
@freelemonade9695 Pierre is actually worst then Morris. He is a greedy dude, worst then Morris. How he tried to ripl off customers and yourself with the products he ask you to give him.
on my first playthrough that second "are you sure?" did save me from accidentally buying. i had accidentally skipped some of lewis's dialogue explainging everything and had no idea if i was supposed to get a membership or not
9:48 I’ve done a full year of basically nothing but foragable farming, like fields covered with seeds that I would exhaust myself multiple times a day to water just to pass out and start all over again I sold tea saplings (as many as I could make) and seeds and leftover forage (and beach forage every Saturday) and earned over 450k+ just that first year
I think the only reason why I'd go joja is for the autopetter since I go heavy into ranching and clambering down 100s of skull cavern floors for the chance of one is so much more convoluted 😭
This video is so well produced! I'm amazed how much work was put into it. Commentary is nice, wholesome (for a joja employee) and so beautifully written and recorded By any means, this was one of the best video game videos I've seen in a while I mean Wow Ps You don't need to water once you have sprinklers. Even the first day
Wow! I'm surprised the mod gave Morris such a good character background. Nice farm, too! I'm actually gonna copy some of your ideas since Joja hasn't trademarked them yet.
I actually really loved going the Joja route - I play with SVE and not having to deal with a certain character that likes the most expensive crop was kinda heaven hahah
they should have Joja take out the other general store and then Joja decides the store isn't profitable so they shut down the store and now all the Joja employees are unemployed, theres no jobs in this small town for them, and theres no store for anyone to go to. Wait that would be too realistic.
One of the reasons I hate prière as much as I do is because you think one of his biggest pros is that he doesn’t want to be part of a corporation but he literally has a dialogue where he says his dream is to run a big corporation/super market
Mind you THIS is my first impression of you and i absolutely loved it!! I’m just a regular player who knows almost nothing about the game because some of the things here were eye opening to me, so thank you for that video, i’m definitely digging into your channel now
I've got almost all of the achievements but I have absolutely no desire to even try for the two Prairie King achievements. If I wanted to play arcade games I would have bought arcade games.
I wish they actually did something with the joja plot. Have their prices be far better than Pierre's, but make it so if you shop there too much, pierre will have to shut down eventually
omg i love you doing the joja route and only befriending caroline. you're ruining pierre's livelihood AND stealing his wife hahaha
unfathomable villainy
and marry his daughter, triple whammy
She should also become best friends with the wizard haha
You also want to befriend pierre, but only up to the point where you discover his secret stash, then you tell his wife.
No
I don't shop at Pierre's out of principal. I do it because it's closer and your character moves at the speed of a snail
I shop at Pierre's because I didn't know until this video that you can buy things at Joja
real
It is cheaper tp buy from Pierre.
It is cheaper tp buy from Pierre.
It never made sense to me that Pierre's is cheaper and closer.
But STILL
trying to finish the community center is whats slowly killing me..
16:07 irony is Pierre wants to become "The Man" Later dialogue in the game he expresses his wishes to open up his shops across the country. Basically his dream is to become Joja Mart but "His" Joja Mart.
Lines up with him trying to sell your produce to Gus for a ludicrous markup.

Some in the community left ie the Commiservatives who wanted to keep their old communal ways. there was a whole south park episode about this and the whole concept is actually so interesting to me
@kyaearsoh that coffee shop episodes was great. Poor Tweak
"Marnie decided to clock in today" IS THE REALEST THING IVE EVER HEARD that woman is never at her till when I need her istg
She complains about needing buisness and how poor she is, UHM IDK MAYBE STAY OPEN AND ACTUALLY SIT YOUR ASS AT YOUR DESK?!?!
I have problems with Marnie and robin
just buy the animal catalogue
@etimadyada this was before 1.6 probably
Every time I go to her she walks OUT of the place she sells stuff and stands in her bedroom for hours😭
I love how she was "not trying to achieve too much" and plays 100x better and makes way more money and progress faster than I ever could hahaha.... so effortlessly.. love it.
I mean she was also using crop profit calculators, and travelling cart predictors and such so...
The phrase “Morris’s special chowder” is a phrase I never wanted to hear in a Stardew Valley video 💀
Omg 😂😂😂
I don’t wanna hear that anywhere 💀💀💀
Nice to hear that I’m not the only one that hated that 😭
I actually had fun with my Joja playthrough.
@schribbler1592 in the base game Morris is like Gunther
And you can only buy from the Joja store and the entire town shuts down when all the Joja cola beans have been stripped from the ground.
Pierre isn't offering jobs to any of the town's people, but Joja IS. They really aren't that bad.
A joja run is the best time to do an overall "evil" playthrough where you make all the dick-moves in the game, including:
-romancing EVERY NPC in order to get the special "cheater" cutscenes
-divorcing a spouse
-turning your children into doves in the witch's house
-force Krobus to move out of the sewers into your home to be your roommate
-picking all of the obviously bad dialogue options
-putting the mayor's purple shorts in the luau soup
-putting the shorts in the grange display
-trimming the shorts to wear around
Do all the things you never want to do in a normal playthrough that would make you feel like a horrible monster! There's no better time!
I love this idea omg
Ive litterally never thought to do this. But im doin it now
How is having Krobus move in with you a dick move...?
@darealyandereI mean tbf it says “force” but like. There is no way to “force” Krobus to move in lmao. If anything it would be nice.
@localmenace3043 krobus talks about having to hide from society and loving his sewers and missing them, which is why I used the word "force", even if it's a bit dramatic
In reality, most people never think or know to move him in with you, and it's just perfect for a run where you try things you never do
If anyone is considering a Joja run, do install the “Joja Immersion” mod. Villagers have comments after each of the community upgrades you pay for.
I remember there was some mods making joja more realistic like having cheaper prices like real big companies
It does make the joja route easier but I like when things are more realistic and joja feels like an actual threat
@froggycolouring That’ll probably be “Lore-Friendly Jojamart Prices”.
21:57 I saw someone on reddit say they got to year 3 and just realised you can upgrade your bag, they were playing with only 12 slots 😅😅 I’d go insane too
Good lord that sounds like pure torture
Dawg this literally happened to me cause i forgot about it😭😭
I just got into it and didn’t know you can
Thanks
I didn't know you could make chests until like year 2.. i was strugggggling
@flanticflame2200 HOW 😭😭😭
That Morris marrying mod was really well made. I like that they really gave dept to his character
Bad business guy is actually a good guy who wants to make friends... and he loves his mama... pathetic
@pushista9322 not saying that it’s reinventing anything, but they added tons of lines that develop his character and that work together
I like how Morris said he'd demolish Pierre's Shop, as if that isnt also his house, the church and half of the hospital.
hes just that evil
"IT'S FOR THE GOOD OF THE COMMUNITY!"
- Morris, probably
No Yoba, only Joja.
He'd probably still allow them to live in the cardboard boxes of the additional warehouse he was going to build there
@hedmeddigWell, for a small fee of course :D
When I saw the Morris cutscene where he brings in the coupons I was so annoyed that the game doesn't ACTUALLY give the player a 50% off coupon from the event . . . that I actually walked over to Joja Mart, bought only half the quantity of what I'd been planning on picking up, and used SMAPI commands to spawn in the other half. XD
Considering how expensive their shit is, you probably still took a decent hit to your profit margins
The Morris backstory in this mod is actually heartwrenching. Justice for Morris tbh. Only thing every villager in The Valley has in common is the fact that they probably deserve better.
Not Pierre
@mooshyshoomyagreed, definitely not Pierre… there’s a reason why there’s an entire subreddit dedicated to hating him
@thecrazyastrogirl Why? he doesnt do anything wrong. Lewis however is another story
@TwilightShimmer03i read that it’s because he’s a liar, a bad father, a bad husband, and engages in tax evasion & bribery
@jessaXDto be fair we all do a *little* tax evasion-
No? Just me? Huh ok
You didn't quit in the opening, you got promoted to company mandated wife for Morris
"Company mandated wife" 😂
I love this !!😭😭
lol "im really hoping to squeeze in a marraige soon"
liss minutes later "omg we kiss now. i dont know how to feel about this, this is a lot for me"
I did a Joja run not that long ago and honestly...i found it quite nice. With the community center i always worry about missing or forgetting seasonal things, therefore the Joja route is a bit more comfortable.
It wouldn't be a deal with the devil if it wasn't tempting
😅
Plus, getting everything unlocked in the Joja route is actually possible by halfway through year one, if you really grind it out.
@michaelhgravesjr9608wdym? It’s possible in the first spring
That’s the point; it’s nice and comfortable, but you’re again a cog in the corporate machine, never truly escaping your past life.
The joke about Morris gaining empathy after his cutscene was chef kiss. Caught me off guard and I loved all this commentary.
I just started my first Joja game. I felt guilty at first (lol), but it's great to not have to worry about "Oh, no -- I need that fish I just sold for the community center! What am I going to do?" It's actually kind of fun.
Morris is really down for that JoJussy
I gotta stop reading the comments 😭🤣
This comment is so cursed
I scrolled too far 💀
Wtf 💀
I went through all my life without reading this comment. Thanks for ruining that.
If you walk into your bed, and hit "no" when it asks you if you want to sleep, and just stand there until you close your eyes you can take a nap and get your energy back up without having to go to the spa or eating!
That is only true in multiplayer i believe
only in multiplayer
I’m pretty sure with the marry Morris mod you can upgrade the community center instead of Joja and have new cutscenes with Morris!!
Now I lowkey wanna try it out lmao
I’ve always wanted to know what happens on Joja runs BUT I FEEL BAD PLAYING IT MYSELF
The way I keep my pan on me is I have my character wear it as a hat 😂 it’s not cute but it keeps it in my inventory with out actually taking up a spot
So literally Brock from Pokemon lol
Using your frying pan as a drying pan
always gotta roll for that lucky ring. plus 1 luck is so broke
I had no idea you could wear it as a hat! I always carry it. When you get an iridium pan you get so many good items! There's also enchantments you can get which makes it even better
Literally Johnny Appleseed
this + emmalutions joja series allows me to live out all my evil joja dreams vicariously
15:57 toxic yaoi in the joja route???? okay slay
TOXIC YAOI😭😭😭😭
@ethicalcainvinylI’m wheezing 😂

need Evil and Good to kiss
@bugAndy They would but that would be a beard situation. Evil is a lesbian duck (and the light of my life), and Good is a gay robot.
I'm going to start a route just like that, ty for the idea
When I started playing the game again, I always told myself "You only need 1 more achievement, just man up and take Joja route" and failed miserably every single time. And I have spent more than 1.000 hours of my life on this game and had more than 10 saves. For all the players had completed Joja route, you have my respect.
literallyyy like i just cant do it
They ain't bad. Given how the town was before them, they help make improvements to the town. Give job to people, and some villagers like shopping with them. They got great didficult to get products like auto petters.
This is the opposite of a hallmark movie plot
Why does Morris have all the hobbies of the other marriage candidates? Art like Leah. Piano like Elliot. Photography like Haley. Coffee like Harvey. Video games like Abigail. Who else does he mimic?
Ah, coffee. My favorite hobby! /j
@WhereAreMyBees Mine too! But then, I am from Seattle.
Probably to try and relate to the other villagers, but it came off cringe and backfired. He kept everything despite this, but photography he was actually good at so he kept it.

My heart can't handle the disappearance of those little things juminos in the community center.
- panning gives you a chance for a lucky ring so early on
- doesnt even need to take up an inventory slot because you can wear it as a hat so you have no excuse to not carry it with you
What if I want to wear a different hat??
If it’s not a good luck day and you don’t have any luck buffs you’ll have less than a 0.01 chance of getting it.
we need to talk about how joja is literally amazon
or Wal-Mart, or any other large conglomerate you can think of.
It’s clearly a Walmart/amazon baby
I keep saying this to my husband. It’s the smile for me 😭😭 it’s absolutely amazon
Fun fact: in the Marry Morris mod you can redeem him by taking the community centre root.
I’m currently doing this on my stardew valley world. I luv my silly guy
This was a fun watch, I'm shocked she got so much done in one year though
37:21 why am i genuinely shedding tears wtf
Ngl, the thumbnail makes Jojamart look kind of culty. "Join us, thrive."
Now I need to see a Stardew Valley mod that has a Joja cult or something.
Exactly what I thought when I saw it lol
Oh. OH. Maybe I can’t bear looking at the Junimos and then turning around and helping Joja (who left the skeleton of a coworker at their desk two cubicles down from ours)
11:10 dude the way she says this... SUCH mean girl voice. I adore it.
Morris is crazy for suggesting they tear down Pierre’s home while offering him a job. It’s not just his storefront 😭
I'm a semi-new player, and I didn't know how to fix the the community center and thought joja mart was the only option 😭
5:51 that "F no" threw me way off!! I laughed my ass off cause i was under the impression that this was typical monetized kid friendly gaming content 😂 thank you for that
Lmao same
this run absolutely killed it kjdhfgjkfhdg i love the creativity! thank god there was a mod to go full JOJA
16:00 Very rare Pierre W
Even the worst fisher can make 1500+ a day from fishing and it doubles as a way of getting energy for other tasks as well.
the cut to the decorated joja shed was SO CUTE
"And I'm committed to being morally questionable, anyway! Sue me!" LOL omg I'm loving this :D
i still havent played stardew yet but this is SO interesting. also maybe the reason sunflower seeds are cheaper at joja is bc they are a mixture of both seeds for farming and seeds for eating? i could absolutely see a company 'saving money' by trying to combine one or the other to extend shelf life of the product. this was a lovely vid.
Hope you got the game and did the community center route where you can tell Pierre to punch morris in the face lol. This mod really puts him in a different light tho, it's refreshing
@freelemonade9695
Pierre is actually worst then Morris. He is a greedy dude, worst then Morris. How he tried to ripl off customers and yourself with the products he ask you to give him.
on my first playthrough that second "are you sure?" did save me from accidentally buying. i had accidentally skipped some of lewis's dialogue explainging everything and had no idea if i was supposed to get a membership or not
9:48 I’ve done a full year of basically nothing but foragable farming, like fields covered with seeds that I would exhaust myself multiple times a day to water just to pass out and start all over again
I sold tea saplings (as many as I could make) and seeds and leftover forage (and beach forage every Saturday) and earned over 450k+ just that first year
I think the only reason why I'd go joja is for the autopetter since I go heavy into ranching and clambering down 100s of skull cavern floors for the chance of one is so much more convoluted 😭
Junimos harvesting crops has saved my farm. They are the main reason I'm still playing.
Im laughing so hard at "panning truthers" omg. Subscribed so fast.
overall, i think the CC is narratively better but mechanically, Joja has more to offer
i'm sure you would love the 1.6 update. tons of joja furniture...
Joining Joja is the bad ending of Stardew Valley.
I think the most ironic thing about the joja route is that the farmer goes to the farm to escape their joja job and miserable city life
This video is so well produced!
I'm amazed how much work was put into it.
Commentary is nice, wholesome (for a joja employee) and so beautifully written and recorded
By any means, this was one of the best video game videos I've seen in a while
I mean
Wow
Ps
You don't need to water once you have sprinklers. Even the first day
Pierre comming to the farm to try and get the user to buy seeds from him literally made me cry 😢
"Morris is a gamer, uhh"
meanwhile, playing a game
Morris's lore is actually making me cry, why is it so sad 😭😭
Wow! I'm surprised the mod gave Morris such a good character background. Nice farm, too! I'm actually gonna copy some of your ideas since Joja hasn't trademarked them yet.
This feels ILLEGAL I’m so excited
HOUR LONG VID?!? oh you feed us 😭💖
PLEASE MARRYING MORRIS is WILD! Thanks for the amazing video!
The first time i played i went the Joja route. Getting all the items for the community center just seemed so overwhelming
I am proud of my missing Joja Achievement and I shall never be corrupted.
I love the Joja run, whenever I get the hankering for some star drew I search up play throughs. Glad to see someone married him!
Same
"I joined Joja Mart" and I married Harvey
Joja has Liss so far gone... that she didnt even name her cows. Their just Joja cow #1 .
So heartless lol
🤣
I like to think Joja Cat is also a well placed pun. 😂
Honestly, panning became better when they allowed you to wear it as a hat
I joined joja in year 2 of my main save, and I kinda regret it tbh
I actually really loved going the Joja route - I play with SVE and not having to deal with a certain character that likes the most expensive crop was kinda heaven hahah
they should have Joja take out the other general store and then Joja decides the store isn't profitable so they shut down the store and now all the Joja employees are unemployed, theres no jobs in this small town for them, and theres no store for anyone to go to.
Wait that would be too realistic.
This video should have been sponsored by Joja Mart
I’ve never played Stardew but this was so much fun to watch! Love a bit of harmless corporate greed 😂💀
I NEED A COW WOMAN! 😂😂 19:34
21:50 seeing that frozen tear get thrown away hurt me 😢 (i love my stupid emo frog man ❤)
One of the reasons I hate prière as much as I do is because you think one of his biggest pros is that he doesn’t want to be part of a corporation but he literally has a dialogue where he says his dream is to run a big corporation/super market
watching this video and you're making more in a single day than I do entire year 1, i'm definitely playing this game wrong lol
0:25 I wish I could achieve all of these goals in reality
LISS!! This is exactly what I needed in my life. Thank you 😭❤️🙏🏼
Rain totem doesn't cause rain during the winter, sadly. I tried
Mind you THIS is my first impression of you and i absolutely loved it!! I’m just a regular player who knows almost nothing about the game because some of the things here were eye opening to me, so thank you for that video, i’m definitely digging into your channel now
Panning is good for finding iridium ore. I've gotten artifact troves, geodes ect.
I can’t cope with the idea of marrying Morris 😅
i am a mere amateur corn farmer but holy shit you are good at this game
I've got almost all of the achievements but I have absolutely no desire to even try for the two Prairie King achievements. If I wanted to play arcade games I would have bought arcade games.
"which is sick, thanks dad" was unreasonably funni
ah so thats how u make money w tea saplings, i thought i have to plant the thing.
Seeing your year 1 farm looking so bad ass and me being year 3 looking so sad made me realize I need to step up my game 😂😅 I play so aimlessly
I always join Joja and befriend Caroline ( tea lady ). I love big
Evil corporations.
Okay but if you're gonna play a joja playthrough, you HAVE to get the mod that replaces the grey cat with a blue cat.
I wish they actually did something with the joja plot. Have their prices be far better than Pierre's, but make it so if you shop there too much, pierre will have to shut down eventually
