My Joja route my character was named Evil of Hell Farm. Since the only thing cheaper at Joja is sunflower seeds, I decided to marry Haley. This playthrough made Haley my favorite romanceable character. Also, Evil had wild luck. She found two dinosaur eggs before Spring 20 of year one. She found a prismatic shard also in spring year one. Due to that, I bought the desert first and got my galaxy sword, destroyed the mines, and then got my greenhouse for starfruit and fruit trees, and have slowly been converting the greenhouse to ancient fruit. Evil got access to the sewers super early compared to all my other playthroughs too, like I met Krobus before the winter event. It's still one of my favorite files, but that's because Evil grew on me as one of my favorite characters. Her counterpart, Good of Heaven Farm is still working on his marriage candidate of Shane. Good is a himbo who thinks he can fix Shane.
I just started my first Joja game. I felt guilty at first (lol), but it's great to not have to worry about "Oh, no -- I need that fish I just sold for the community center! What am I going to do?" It's actually kind of fun.
I had no idea you could wear it as a hat! I always carry it. When you get an iridium pan you get so many good items! There's also enchantments you can get which makes it even better
The sunflower thing is really clever because thats an actual trick big box stores use. The store my mom works at had to stop selling a certain brand of candles because Walmart started selling them at a loss
When I started playing the game again, I always told myself "You only need 1 more achievement, just man up and take Joja route" and failed miserably every single time. And I have spent more than 1.000 hours of my life on this game and had more than 10 saves. For all the players had completed Joja route, you have my respect.
They ain't bad. Given how the town was before them, they help make improvements to the town. Give job to people, and some villagers like shopping with them. They got great didficult to get products like auto petters.
- panning gives you a chance for a lucky ring so early on - doesnt even need to take up an inventory slot because you can wear it as a hat so you have no excuse to not carry it with you
Based on the way you play one counter-intuitive way you'd able to improve your profits is don't plant anything until day 15. Spend the first day clearing as much of your farm as you can selling all of your fibre and retaining only the stone/wood you need for chests and furnaces get forageables for energy, then from day 2-14 fish all day every day, on non-rainy days fish in the mountains keeping the chub for energy and on rainy days fish in the river for catfish only selling what you need to get the better fishing rod stockpile the rest for when you get the fisher/angler perks, then on day 15 you can buy a ton of cabbage seeds and have a ton of fish for energy to help with the extra watering. Even the worst fisher can make 1500+ a day from fishing and it doubles as a way of getting energy for other tasks as well.
Why does Morris have all the hobbies of the other marriage candidates? Art like Leah. Piano like Elliot. Photography like Haley. Coffee like Harvey. Video games like Abigail. Who else does he mimic?
Probably to try and relate to the other villagers, but it came off cringe and backfired. He kept everything despite this, but photography he was actually good at so he kept it.
Fun fact: in the Marry Morris mod you can redeem him by taking the community centre root. I’m currently doing this on my stardew valley world. I luv my silly guy
Joining Joja can give some decent benefits like being able to buy the autopetter, and its fun to have a playthrough focused entirely on the accumulation of wealth
i still havent played stardew yet but this is SO interesting. also maybe the reason sunflower seeds are cheaper at joja is bc they are a mixture of both seeds for farming and seeds for eating? i could absolutely see a company 'saving money' by trying to combine one or the other to extend shelf life of the product. this was a lovely vid.
Hope you got the game and did the community center route where you can tell Pierre to punch morris in the face lol. This mod really puts him in a different light tho, it's refreshing
@freelemonade9695 Pierre is actually worst then Morris. He is a greedy dude, worst then Morris. How he tried to ripl off customers and yourself with the products he ask you to give him.
For a Joja run, she was actually taking it super easy. If she had wanted to get stupid about min maxing and garbage like that, she could have been done with all of her goals Fall 1, easy. Of course, that would have made it less fun to play and to watch, so... 🤷♂️
Oh. OH. Maybe I can’t bear looking at the Junimos and then turning around and helping Joja (who left the skeleton of a coworker at their desk two cubicles down from ours)
9:48 I’ve done a full year of basically nothing but foragable farming, like fields covered with seeds that I would exhaust myself multiple times a day to water just to pass out and start all over again I sold tea saplings (as many as I could make) and seeds and leftover forage (and beach forage every Saturday) and earned over 450k+ just that first year
Probably way too late to add this comment, but just wanted to note on the energy depletion in the beginning of the game. It's best to chop down trees and leave the tree stumps as it's not worth how much wood you get from the stumps versus how much energy it costs to chop the stumps down too. Plus, leaving the stumps keeps on making new trees grow in the area too.
There is seriously so much to this game. I have played a lot of Stardew Valley. I mean, hours and hours and hours. But not since the 1.5 update. Like I don't even know what Ginger Island is. And I probably only scratched the surface before. Repeating all the things I usually do. I was looking at this video constantly thinking: That's in the game?! I'm currently back on the bandwagon, though. A fresh batch of hyperfocus for Stardew Valley. Ready to discover all that I missed. Also, if the local friendly shop is cheaper, what's the point in going to an impersonal superstore? Isn't the point of those that THEY are cheaper?
on my first playthrough that second "are you sure?" did save me from accidentally buying. i had accidentally skipped some of lewis's dialogue explainging everything and had no idea if i was supposed to get a membership or not
This video is so well produced! I'm amazed how much work was put into it. Commentary is nice, wholesome (for a joja employee) and so beautifully written and recorded By any means, this was one of the best video game videos I've seen in a while I mean Wow Ps You don't need to water once you have sprinklers. Even the first day
Wow! I'm surprised the mod gave Morris such a good character background. Nice farm, too! I'm actually gonna copy some of your ideas since Joja hasn't trademarked them yet.
Glad you did a joja run, you should to a ridgeside/expanedd run with both mods.... and east scarp. So many options to expand how you see things. Expanded adds a lot to the Joja side of the story.
Joja was my first 3 routes I played on Stardew, but my most recent is the community center, before I knew anything about the game and started looking up the lore.
the problem is that corporate shills are also people… he’s got “higher ups” putting pressure on them and causing them to make stupid decisions in order to impress a company that will never actually value them. he’s just stuck in the mindset that, if he just does well enough and proves himself to be successful in capitalism, maybe his existence will have meaning. lots of managers/owners of franchises are like that.
When in reality, the only thing any of these people will ever get from the company they work for is “thanks for making us JUST enough money even though we yelled at you the whole time for not making enough. We appreciate your efforts soooo much! If you ever feel like dying because we suck, call our personalised help number, an outbound call centre located in a poorer country run by other machine cogs that want to jump off a cliff! Just like you! Except they have even less rights! KEEP UP THE GRINDSET!”
And yeah not to forget that Pierre also has a megalomaniacal view on capitalism and believes his shop is the only one that should exist and that it should expand elsewhere….. it’s the exact same as Morris’ view we just are made to believe from the start that one has a more honourable venture than the other when in reality they literally want the exact same thing.
People with full time jobs have their humanity sucked. Which is unfortunate, since not everyone can afford living their dream as an artist, farmer, creator, etc. Some people need to do whatever to survive, and that means losing their soul, passion and ultimately humanity.
Me and my friend on our co-op playthrough did the Joja route because we got lazy with the bundles. Edit: I kinda would like characters exclusive to each of the routes in this game. It would be interesting if more people involved with Joja came to town and had heart events as well as new people moving in/returning to town if you pursue the community center.
I couldn’t, I looked back at one of my old saves where last minute I did the Joja Route, and I was actually ashamed of myself. I just couldn’t doom all the npcs like that 💀💀💀
surprisingly fun watch. also, the little tidbit about caroline and the tree saplings paying mad dividends in spring is one of the best tips i've seen for quick cash in this game. had no idea doing spring seeds like that could get you mad cash (so long as you befriend caroline)
Your keg shed is not full. You have room for 12 more kegs if you put them on the left and right of each row rather than have the paths down the sides. You only need a path through the middle. You can still put items in the kegs that are seemingly unreachable so long as you have the tile diagonally next to a keg empty.
I only shop at Pierre’s because it’s cheaper, closer, and has more variety. I fucking hate that man. I got him as the person you’re supposed to give a gift to for my first ever Feast of the Winter Star. Instead of getting him a present I slingshotted a rock at him. I considered giving him a hated item but decided he wasn’t worth the effort.
I can't believe the Morris romance mod made me tear up, wtf? Great video though! I've never really watched stardew content but this was highly entertaining and you did a fantastic job!
I've got almost all of the achievements but I have absolutely no desire to even try for the two Prairie King achievements. If I wanted to play arcade games I would have bought arcade games.
In the new update the clay pattern thing is no longer a thing! BUT if you want it you can toggle it on in the settings when you create a new farm save. It is called legacy randomisation I think
it's in the base game, just go into the social tab (it's a heart) in the pause menu and you can see how much friendship you have with everyone, and people you havent met will be marked as "???" to help with the introductions beginning quest
I made an entire separate file just for the joja mart achievement. And that was the file that I would use as an experiment file where I can try different things I don't want to try in the files that I play often in
with the marry morris mod it sorta looks like after quitting joja and running away you’re just so entranced by discount bezos that you rejoin the cult and idk i love that its so unserious
Willie called you "lass"! Clearly a viewer. Also I have sometimes used the panning pan as a hat so I don't forget it and I still never actually pan anything. But if I did, that would sure be a good idea. Although fashion over function almost always; I can't not be a hat mouse customer, poke.
15:12 pierre shoulda ttaken it so he could fire all employees and send joja crashing down as people share stories of how they got fired for no reason on reddit, and then after pierre could reopen the store
The only time I ever did the Joja route (for the achievement, of course) I made an all blue character named Jojaman (inspired by obscure 90s video game character/shill Pepsiman). It was more palatable roleplaying as a corporate mascot than actually siding with them.
you can still get Junimo on your Farm because the wizard offers their Huts for Sale it's like a Starfruit and some Gold. Plus I have a Mod that actually Makes Joja Prices Cheaper like they should be.
Just started my Joja playthrough. Made my character look like a robot named Roberta. With a tuxedo cat named Byte. Together we ravage the valley in the most capitalistically optimal way. Whenever i feel guilty i just think...WWJD? Marry Penny, thats what.
Omg I just discovered you and am immediately obSESSED. Cannot wait to binge watch your other Stardew videos, this one was *chefs kiss*, the cringe was at an all-time high. Thank you for doing this so I can experience it without ever having to do it myself.
"crazy that men can go their whole lives without feeling empathy !!" AAHAHHAHA i just know that moment that they Discover Empathy becomes a core memory DSJNFJNDS
Out of the sheer principle of Pierre's seeds were cheaper AND the community center well brings the community together AS WELL as the Junimo That's why I always chose Pierre's over joja The bundles I never found hard just time consuming but that makes them feel worth it ....... Although ......this makes me want to make an alternate time line save JUST to get the achievement
One of the reasons I hate prière as much as I do is because you think one of his biggest pros is that he doesn’t want to be part of a corporation but he literally has a dialogue where he says his dream is to run a big corporation/super market
Loved seeing this side of you and the game hehe. Speaking of maybe future merch 👀 would love to see a return of the real gamers play farming sims design (especially potentially on more items?!) but it is my favorite shirt and so freaking cool! Love you and your content!!!
The clay farming isn't 100% on getting clay, there is a chance of not getting it. From what I've read on clay farming, you just keep following the pattern. Once you start the next section of the pattern you will start to get clay again.

Good is a himbo who thinks he can fix Shane.
need Evil and Good to kiss
@@restlessCrustacean They would but that would be a beard situation. Evil is a lesbian duck (and the light of my life), and Good is a gay robot.
I'm going to start a route just like that, ty for the idea
I’m pretty sure with the marry Morris mod you can upgrade the community center instead of Joja and have new cutscenes with Morris!!
Now I lowkey wanna try it out lmao
I just started my first Joja game. I felt guilty at first (lol), but it's great to not have to worry about "Oh, no -- I need that fish I just sold for the community center! What am I going to do?" It's actually kind of fun.
The way I keep my pan on me is I have my character wear it as a hat 😂 it’s not cute but it keeps it in my inventory with out actually taking up a spot
So literally Brock from Pokemon lol
Using your frying pan as a drying pan
always gotta roll for that lucky ring. plus 1 luck is so broke
For all the players had completed Joja route, you have my respect.
literallyyy like i just cant do it
They ain't bad. Given how the town was before them, they help make improvements to the town. Give job to people, and some villagers like shopping with them. They got great didficult to get products like auto petters.
You didn't quit in the opening, you got promoted to company mandated wife for Morris
"Company mandated wife" 😂
The joke about Morris gaining empathy after his cutscene was chef kiss. Caught me off guard and I loved all this commentary.
- panning gives you a chance for a lucky ring so early on
- doesnt even need to take up an inventory slot because you can wear it as a hat so you have no excuse to not carry it with you
What if I want to wear a different hat??
If it’s not a good luck day and you don’t have any luck buffs you’ll have less than a 0.01 chance of getting it.
Even the worst fisher can make 1500+ a day from fishing and it doubles as a way of getting energy for other tasks as well.
we need to talk about how joja is literally amazon
lol "im really hoping to squeeze in a marraige soon"
liss minutes later "omg we kiss now. i dont know how to feel about this, this is a lot for me"
I’ve always wanted to know what happens on Joja runs BUT I FEEL BAD PLAYING IT MYSELF
Why does Morris have all the hobbies of the other marriage candidates? Art like Leah. Piano like Elliot. Photography like Haley. Coffee like Harvey. Video games like Abigail. Who else does he mimic?
Ah, coffee. My favorite hobby! /j
@@jessicadragonare7993 Mine too! But then, I am from Seattle.
Morris is really down for that JoJussy
I gotta stop reading the comments 😭🤣
This comment is so cursed
I scrolled too far 💀
Wtf 💀
I went through all my life without reading this comment. Thanks for ruining that.
Ngl, the thumbnail makes Jojamart look kind of culty. "Join us, thrive."
Now I need to see a Stardew Valley mod that has a Joja cult or something.
@freelemonade9695
Pierre is actually worst then Morris. He is a greedy dude, worst then Morris. How he tried to ripl off customers and yourself with the products he ask you to give him.
This was a fun watch, I'm shocked she got so much done in one year though
For a Joja run, she was actually taking it super easy. If she had wanted to get stupid about min maxing and garbage like that, she could have been done with all of her goals Fall 1, easy. Of course, that would have made it less fun to play and to watch, so... 🤷♂️
Oh. OH. Maybe I can’t bear looking at the Junimos and then turning around and helping Joja (who left the skeleton of a coworker at their desk two cubicles down from ours)
9:48 I’ve done a full year of basically nothing but foragable farming, like fields covered with seeds that I would exhaust myself multiple times a day to water just to pass out and start all over again
I sold tea saplings (as many as I could make) and seeds and leftover forage (and beach forage every Saturday) and earned over 450k+ just that first year
Probably way too late to add this comment, but just wanted to note on the energy depletion in the beginning of the game. It's best to chop down trees and leave the tree stumps as it's not worth how much wood you get from the stumps versus how much energy it costs to chop the stumps down too. Plus, leaving the stumps keeps on making new trees grow in the area too.
this + emmalutions joja series allows me to live out all my evil joja dreams vicariously
They are cheap if you join their membership.
My heart can't handle the disappearance of those little things juminos in the community center.
on my first playthrough that second "are you sure?" did save me from accidentally buying. i had accidentally skipped some of lewis's dialogue explainging everything and had no idea if i was supposed to get a membership or not
this run absolutely killed it kjdhfgjkfhdg i love the creativity! thank god there was a mod to go full JOJA
This video is so well produced!
I'm amazed how much work was put into it.
Commentary is nice, wholesome (for a joja employee) and so beautifully written and recorded
By any means, this was one of the best video game videos I've seen in a while
I mean
Wow
Ps
You don't need to water once you have sprinklers. Even the first day
11:10 dude the way she says this... SUCH mean girl voice. I adore it.
Wow! I'm surprised the mod gave Morris such a good character background. Nice farm, too! I'm actually gonna copy some of your ideas since Joja hasn't trademarked them yet.
I love the Joja run, whenever I get the hankering for some star drew I search up play throughs. Glad to see someone married him!
Same
This is the opposite of a hallmark movie plot
Glad you did a joja run, you should to a ridgeside/expanedd run with both mods.... and east scarp. So many options to expand how you see things. Expanded adds a lot to the Joja side of the story.
Joja was my first 3 routes I played on Stardew, but my most recent is the community center, before I knew anything about the game and started looking up the lore.
Lollll me rn
the cut to the decorated joja shed was SO CUTE
I'm a semi-new player, and I didn't know how to fix the the community center and thought joja mart was the only option 😭
I've never played this game, but loved this vid. Very amusing. Morris seems like a great guy, congrats!
You will like Morris more in 1.6 update
Morris's lore is actually making me cry, why is it so sad 😭😭
the problem is that corporate shills are also people… he’s got “higher ups” putting pressure on them and causing them to make stupid decisions in order to impress a company that will never actually value them. he’s just stuck in the mindset that, if he just does well enough and proves himself to be successful in capitalism, maybe his existence will have meaning. lots of managers/owners of franchises are like that.
30:06 oh, the main moonlight jelly doesn't come to the player if they go the joja-route, apparently!
Player.... I know you're capitalisms...... 💀
I couldn’t, I looked back at one of my old saves where last minute I did the Joja Route, and I was actually ashamed of myself. I just couldn’t doom all the npcs like that 💀💀💀
"And I'm committed to being morally questionable, anyway! Sue me!" LOL omg I'm loving this :D
surprisingly fun watch. also, the little tidbit about caroline and the tree saplings paying mad dividends in spring is one of the best tips i've seen for quick cash in this game. had no idea doing spring seeds like that could get you mad cash (so long as you befriend caroline)
Joja has Liss so far gone... that she didnt even name her cows. Their just Joja cow #1 .
So heartless lol
🤣
I like to think Joja Cat is also a well placed pun. 😂
Your keg shed is not full. You have room for 12 more kegs if you put them on the left and right of each row rather than have the paths down the sides. You only need a path through the middle. You can still put items in the kegs that are seemingly unreachable so long as you have the tile diagonally next to a keg empty.
16:00 Very rare Pierre W
I only shop at Pierre’s because it’s cheaper, closer, and has more variety. I fucking hate that man. I got him as the person you’re supposed to give a gift to for my first ever Feast of the Winter Star. Instead of getting him a present I slingshotted a rock at him. I considered giving him a hated item but decided he wasn’t worth the effort.
Lmao Imagining a grown ass farmer slingshotting a rock at Pierre during the happy gathering got me.
He deserves it, but still.
😂😂
I can't believe the Morris romance mod made me tear up, wtf?
Great video though! I've never really watched stardew content but this was highly entertaining and you did a fantastic job!
The first time i played i went the Joja route. Getting all the items for the community center just seemed so overwhelming
i'm sure you would love the 1.6 update. tons of joja furniture...
omg yay! i’ve been looking forward to this since you mentioned it on stream liss!!🥰
"Morris is a gamer, uhh"
meanwhile, playing a game
I've got almost all of the achievements but I have absolutely no desire to even try for the two Prairie King achievements. If I wanted to play arcade games I would have bought arcade games.
In the new update the clay pattern thing is no longer a thing! BUT if you want it you can toggle it on in the settings when you create a new farm save. It is called legacy randomisation I think
LISS!! This is exactly what I needed in my life. Thank you 😭❤️🙏🏼
This feels ILLEGAL I’m so excited
33:48
YOU CAN SEE HOW MUCH FRIENDSHIP YOU HAVE?! Please tell me that's a mod, and I haven't been dumb this whole time!
it's in the base game, just go into the social tab (it's a heart) in the pause menu and you can see how much friendship you have with everyone, and people you havent met will be marked as "???" to help with the introductions beginning quest
I made an entire separate file just for the joja mart achievement. And that was the file that I would use as an experiment file where I can try different things I don't want to try in the files that I play often in
I just started playing Stardew and this is blowing my mind at how fast you are making money! Thanks for the tips!
with the marry morris mod it sorta looks like after quitting joja and running away you’re just so entranced by discount bezos that you rejoin the cult and idk i love that its so unserious
Willie called you "lass"! Clearly a viewer. Also I have sometimes used the panning pan as a hat so I don't forget it and I still never actually pan anything. But if I did, that would sure be a good idea. Although fashion over function almost always; I can't not be a hat mouse customer, poke.
13:49 i wear the pan on my head so I don’t forget it lol (it’s my fav hat cause of how ridiculous it is plus it has a use lol)
PLEASE MARRYING MORRIS is WILD! Thanks for the amazing video!
After doing the community center several times, I've devoted every playthrough since 1.3 to making sure Clint never has a Friday off again.
21:50 seeing that frozen tear get thrown away hurt me 😢 (i love my stupid emo frog man ❤)
HOUR LONG VID?!? oh you feed us 😭💖
15:12 pierre shoulda ttaken it so he could fire all employees and send joja crashing down as people share stories of how they got fired for no reason on reddit, and then after pierre could reopen the store
I’ve never played Stardew but this was so much fun to watch! Love a bit of harmless corporate greed 😂💀
I’m on my second play through. My kid deleted my 200+ hour farm. I just joined joja a few days ago to switch it up.
Out of the sheer principle of Pierre's seeds were cheaper AND the community center well brings the community together
AS WELL as the Junimo
That's why I always chose Pierre's over joja
The bundles I never found hard just time consuming but that makes them feel worth it .......
Love you and your content!!!
watching this video and you're making more in a single day than I do entire year 1, i'm definitely playing this game wrong lol
I really love your Stardew videos. Easily my favourite content creator for the game.
Love the format you do for these videos Liss! I was also dying cringing at the Morris cutscenes 😅
The clay farming isn't 100% on getting clay, there is a chance of not getting it. From what I've read on clay farming, you just keep following the pattern. Once you start the next section of the pattern you will start to get clay again.
