- When a big wave catches the lineup out of position, there's usually a few casualties - people get washed towards the shore or even break a leash.
But this group of pro surfers warming up for the contest at Margaret River all managed to paddle out of harms way or duckdive directly underneath a freak bigger wave during this session a few days ago. Showcasing their all-round skills in challenging conditions.

I have surfed once in Kauai and i really didn't realize how powerful the ocean was until that experience. It went from one of the most exhilarating adrenaline rush I've ever had to scariest. When I wiped out it made me feel like I was in washing machine going full speed going in both directions at once 😂. I still have ptsd from wiping out

Margaret river..however big it is you will always get sneaker sets.not a problem in 8-10foot surf.different story if its constantly 10-12foot and you know there are 20 foot bombs comin your way without doubt every other set.Not this time round..The wind is blowing so hard off shore the waves are starting on the beach moving to Africa.please Huey..we are well overdue our first big pre winter swells now..months of dead flat depression.send it.please.and keep sending till december.❤❤
Here is why Cole won Bells. Watch it from 3:23 and how many turns he puts in as soon as he's up. Immediately after that Ramzi was up but hesitated and should have checked turned once after taking off and gone vert and he could have squeezed three high quality turns in on his wave but after the first turn he hesitated again. Cole didnt check turn once! Surfing IQ plays a huge role in surfing.
