Very helpful! I keep asking myself if I'm willing to show up with some level of frequency in posting just for the people who NEED to hear from me.... even if I'm never ever monetized.
Oh my god this video…. I totally love you and your channel!! I so needed to see you.. This is right on time …. My heart is so full and I’m soooo encouraged! Thank you…Thank you so much for being you...✨💕👏👏👏👏💕
Just fyi watching your videos has inspired me to restart my channel. I’m 50 and getting going again with my personal channel again! Thanks for the support.
Hi Alexa! I love this message! As we've just started our RUclips channel a week ago, I'm continually reminding myself of this, to stay focused on who we're here to help, rather than fears of who might find fault. Greetings to another woman in the arena! 💗
Wow, love the perspective of helping someone out who's in need, like the single mother (I'm a single dad who can probably write a book about what I've gone through lol). By allowing 1 or 2 negative people to influence us, we're also allowing them to take away something that could possibly make a huge positive difference in multiple other people's lives. Never thought of it that way! I saw 2 other videos and now this, i don't need any more, you have a new subscriber💪
You are lovely! Write a book! I am sure there are many men out there or single parents that would read it. And let's go out there and make loads of positive impact on people. xoxo
I cried watching this. I am a Gen Xer, still procrastinating, and you masterfully touched on so many valid points. In my 50’s and estranged from my abusive family for 13 yrs, it amazes me that their influence still has me in a zero self-esteem place. I have unique God-given talents, but I’m stuck in a “if I dislike my aging face why would anybody want to watch?” 😞 Thank you, Alexa for all you do!
Oh I feel your pain..I too am estranged from close family members. 😔 It is terribly hard to move past. You deserve the best and our bodies are beautiful regardless - they carry us through this life. I wish aging was more respected, so let’s change that by supporting each other on RUclips. 😘❤️ I think you just gave me a new video topic idea. 🙌 Sending you loads of positive energy. 🎉
It’s so hard like you said as a Gen-x to share the hard stuff we’ve been thru- we were taught to suck it up. But I totally agree we need to share and help others with what we’ve been thru, in turn helping those that a in the thick of it
Agh!! Another excellent video!! Im binge watching your videos while cleaning. I resonate with your every word!! I’ll be back in a few days to say “I did it!” 🎉🙏🏼
I have been on a journey to rediscover and recreate myself for the last year and a half and have felt like I needed to share it. I finally took the plunge and posted my first video this week! Your message has been very motivating and inspiring to help me listen to myself and actually do it! Thank you! 😊
Congratulations! I love your background in the video, so uplifting yet calming. I've liked and commented to your first video, so exciting! Thank you for sharing your journey with all of us on youtube. Yea!!! 🌻
@@AlexaSaarenoja thank you so much! And thanks for checking it out! :) I’m very excited about this journey. I downloaded vidiq thanks to your recommendation and it has given me a lot of ideas!
I can relate to what you're saying here. I have to let go of people who were draining me to the point that I experienced chest pains. I'm having a hard time (even now) to do this when it comes to family members who are draining me. I don't know how to tell them without hurting them or coming off as disrespectful when I'm nit trying to be that way. I love being on camera but I've been so misunderstood that it does bother me. I'm a Gen X (44 years old), and I go through this more often than not. It's been bothering me so much. Don't know what else to do.😢
Ugh it’s tough. I feel your pain and my heart goes out to you. May you find the strength to put yourself first. Maybe RUclips is a great place to start with finding your strength from the support of the community and the feeling of doing something for yourself. ❤️❤️
@AlexaSaarenoja Thanks. Yes, it's a hard road. I see it as a learning experience. I will find the way. Honestly, what I decided to implement right after I commented was to block calls from people, including family members, during the week, and unblock them during the weekend. This gave me a sense of peace, really. I will continue to do this as I see it's working for me. Alexa, I admire you so much. I want to thank you for doing it, afraid, first of all. You're giving hope to people like me to donit afraid as well.
OK Alexa thanks to you I have just bitten the bullet and done it 🤭 I am terrified lol but also very very excited to see where this journey leads. This is SO far out of my comfort zone as I am a complete introvert and generally run at the sight of a camera and I cannot stand to hear my own voice recorded 🤣🤣🤣 however your video spurred me on to just get over myself and do it! Many thanks 😊
Yes, go for it! I am a complete introvert too!!! So you can do it. Wishing you the best, maybe you could get an app to distort your voice while you edit videos...hahah then put it back to normal before you post it. xoxo
You're very inspiring, thanks for your encouragement. I'd like to start a RUclips channel but my problem is that I'm an introvert and my anxiety about putting myself out there is crippling. I barely post my makeup work (been doing it for years casually) nor post results of my cosmetic injectables as I've just got my foot in the door with injectables so fear of judgement is high that I just freeze and don't do anything, which I know doesn’t help me.... 😰
Just stay where you are.. You are ahead of someone in life and they will look up to your guidance. Be yourself and be vulnerable when you can. I think it so be a beautiful journey. Xoxo
I somehow missed this video until it popped up on my notifications. Believe me, Gen X'ers are not the only ones brought up this way. My parents went thur the Great Depression and World War 2. They brought us up in a very strict religion were we were supposed to act the same way. My Gen X'ers, yeah the ones my wife and I raised, were actually pushed to do good but, also be themselves. Every generation has different upbringings. I'm just saying it isn't Gen X that has these issues. I'm still having to live my life and except when I need to spread my wings and do such things as RUclips. I married a very shy girl who got herself educated and became a tough buyer in the electronics business. I've seen car salesmen hide from her because she's such a great negotiator. The point is if there is something you want in life don't let others stop you, go for it no matter your generation.
Yes exactly! I am sure many other people were raised in a a similar manner but I can only speak to my experience. But of course the style of upbringing was obviously learned and modified from the previous generation. And yes the biggest point you were making - just go for it. Let your light shine!!!
There’re two concepts you mention in the video: FOPO by Mike Gervais and the drama Triangle. Totally aligned with what you’re teaching us here! Great video!
Thank you for your honest opinion. I was really nervous to post this one, since there are a lot of angles in which one can approach this topic, but I just went with what my gut was saying at that moment. I just learned something new from you Drama Triangle - I've never seen it described like that. But yes exactly! FOPO is much better than saying Allodoxaphobia, which I choose to leave out. 😅 - Thank you again for continuing to watch my videos. I appreciate it.
Very good videos! I’ve watched a couple of them already 🎉 I am so introverted but I really want to start a channel. Good luck I will be supporting you!😊
BTW - I'm a total introvert too! You can do it. Thank you for the support. I will have to make a video addressing this topic, because seriously I'm 100% an introvert and it is such a great outlet to express yourself as an introvert. I appreciate you taking the time to comment and share your thoughts. 🌸
I actually already have a channel Soberthinkers, I just need to reset myself, my work ethic, consistency of work flow etc., and most certainly need a new group to build with.
Thank you for your comment. Great channel name, it's really clear without even opening your channel what you are all about. Well build with us! We will support your growth! Welcome. I think I will set up a facebook group or something so everyone can share how they are doing in one place. Let me know if this would interest you! xoxo

How fun I can see the final product in use through your videos! :) How cool! Best of luck to your channel! Looks great!
