While the karaoke and disco are amazing, I'd highly recommend investing your time into the rest of the game. It's just as fantastic. From the incredible main story, to the crazy, wacky fun substories, and of course, the beautiful and diverse soundtrack.
The violent crimes are the 1%, the rest of the Yakuza just dance in discos and sing karaoke. That's how they actually make all their money, from people donating for their skills
There was a news story about real yakuza using drones run a drug delivery and the Japanese cops sent out their own drones to shoot down the yakuza's drone. They chased drones around the city until the cops finally shot them down. They sent a message to the cops. "good game." Even crime sounds like video games over there.

The side stories are amazing the minigames are and it's a Friday night Thank you Yakuza for bringing my life up
I love how Baka Mitai became a meme, and now Yakuza strikes back with Friday Night. Love all the exposure these games are getting. Seriously go play Yakuza 0 it's fantastic, and it's a prequel to Yakuza 1, so you aren't missing out on anything.
Yakuza 0 was my first ever Yakuza game I've ever played and i bet i missed a lot of Easter eggs and funny moments just because i don't know the lore yet lol. I bought it in the first place because my friend was BEGGING me to play it, so i did. Never regretted it since. A game where you get sad from actual lore and then you suddenly find yourself laughing your ass off from a side quest. Amazing 10/10
