  • The first quarter of 2022 was a really busy time for the team at Nomadic. Normally, this is a slow period for airplane ferries, but not this year; an 11-ship Lionair return and some other long-hauls kept the gang busy. During this time, CC-CXE and CC-CXD were ready for pickup as newly converted freighters and Steve, Bob, and Ava had the honors of operating these flights.
Part Two features a look at these returns and focuses primarily on the delivery of CC-CXE, where special guest Jon Ostrower from The Air Current joins Steve and Bob as a stowaway from Singapore to Miami with a fuel stop in Honolulu. Ostrower is a renowned Aviation Journalist and joined up with Nomadic to experience one of our weekly adventures first hand. The Air Current will soon publish a feature where Jon tells the story from an outsider's expert perspective - and Part 2 & 3 of "The Cargo Conversion" documents the adventure through video.
As always, the series features original Jazz written and performed by Steve Giordano Sr.; along with Dave Posmontier and Bob Shomo from the Germantown Session - a studio session where Organ Trio Jazz was laid down for the sole purpose of Cockpit Casual! "The Germantown Session" is also available on iTunes, RUclips, Apple Music, Spotify, and Amazon.

To Steve and Bob, the best channel I have found on RUclips in all the years I've been on it, great music and I think I have flown with you every flight you have done over 7 times each. Great luxury sitting in my armchair flying round the world with great people, good humour and great music. What could be better. Regards from over the pond. Richard 🇬🇧

The fact this RUclips channel is so underrated is astounding. You guys provide excellent entertainment with your storytelling and beautiful footage that has me hooked throughout the entire video, hell, the entire series. I think I’m currently on binge #2 watching through all the videos on this channel, and it never gets old. Keep up the great work guys! I heard there might be some filming on the recent/future Air India 747-400 ferries. I’m ecstatic to see whatever comes out of that wether it’s just a short video or if it’s a longer one like this any many others. Godspeed you guys. Blue skies and tailwinds my friend. ❤

Great stuff, as always. Love spending Sunday morning with a fresh cup of coffee and Cockpit Casual! Way back in high school, deciding between an aviation job and a computer job, I realized the airlines didn’t appeal to me - now THIS line of work would have been right up my alley. Instead - day job pays the bills, and I flight instruct on weekends. Not too bad, but I’m still always looking up when the big ones fly over.

It’s Jazz - it’s performed by my father and other lifelong Philly jazz legends. It may not be your cup of tea but it’s certainly not elevator music. It’s original improvisation by skilled musicians and it’s way better than the generic crap from soundstripe. I can’t use mainstream artist music even if I wanted to because of copy-write laws anyway.
