- Cockpit Casual returns with a new video featuring a mission to repossess 2 aircraft, a Boeing 737-800 and a B767-300ER on behalf of a US Lessor from service in Russia. After sanctions were placed on Russia after its invasion of Ukraine, civil aircraft leases were cancelled and the western lessors scrambled to recover their aircraft assets from Russian airlines. Very few aircraft were actually recovered, but Nomadic was able to assist in recovering a hand full of them.
On this mission, Bob and Steve flew to Turkey to grab a Boeing 737 from Antalya and a B-767 from Istanbul after they were voluntarily surrendered. The aircraft were registered in the USA and relocated to Roswell New Mexico and Goodyear Arizona respectively.

Love these films. They do not come out very often but when they do it is like finding a diamond among all the muck and debris that is RUclips. The music, narration, and photography are top notch.

I'm a C40 guy. We were at a local airfield working on the jet, they parked us way in the back next to some 777s. Being a bunch of 737 guys, we all wanted to check out the monster parked next to us. Nordwind. It was a Russian leased jet that had been there since February. It was looking rough, engine covers were torn to shreds.
That was incredible to watch. Thank you so much for the time and energy spent on putting this together.

Managed to watch this a full 24 hours after dropping. Top notch as ever. I remember very well not only following both the flights but the discussion on Twitter about the situation regarding leased aircraft following the Russian invasion as well as why these aircraft were on Bermudan register.

This is truly my favorite aviation content. I was so stoked when I found out another video was out. I Waited till finished my trip to watch it at home. This is perfect to play on the big screen with a proper sound system. The shots, narration and jazz music just has me zoned in the whole time.

All of the events that have been unfolding in my country since February have been very unfortunate, but I'm glad that you gave a very truthful, balanced and unbiased analysis of the situation. Hopefully everything ends soon and life for both Ukraine and Russia could return to normal.
