Cockpit Casual - INDIA (the Double-Repo)

- On this episode of Cockpit Casual, Steve & Bob head to Hyderabad India to grab two Airbus A320 NEOs from the now-defunct airline, "Go First". The project took place in early January of 2023 and these were actually the first two aircraft pulled by lessors prior to the airline ceasing operations. In other words, these aircraft would "go first"!
The duo from Nomadic flew from Philly to Doha on Qatar Airlines, then on to Hyderabad where they did some sightseeing around Charminar with the go-pros. The next day, Steve took left seat in the first aircraft and flew it to Istanbul via Cairo. After arriving in Turkey, they overnighted and the next day went right back to Hyderabad to grab the second aircraft.
The project took the better part of a week, and was a non-stop, action packed adventure from the start. As usual, the episode features original Jazz from Steve Giordano Sr and lots of great footage from the Cockpit and around the world.
Please never get rid of this channel! This channel is everything I love about aviation, in a shortly packed video. Love you guys!
Been binge watching this channel for the last few days and I've gotta say this is unique aviation content was much needed - I purposely don't keep notifications on but since watching I need to keep up with these - Thanks for your hard work getting these out!
My pleasure! Enjoy!
Great Video’s!
Thank's guys, it seems ages since your last vid. Well up to your usual standard😊 great vibes and tunes🎼🎷🎸🎹🎺🥁 Keep on keeping on 🥰
@@CockpitCasual wow just discovered this channel, superb content 🎉
Right? How crazy is it that they're flying narrow and wide bodies under part 91, I'm jeans, t shirt and ball caps?
I'm surprised that such a quality channel doesn't have more subscribers, although maybe it's better, because with a large number of subscribers, it goes beyond a hobby and becomes a job, and then it loses its appeal.
Yeah the RUclips algorithm prioritizes channels that post often. The nature of how long these vids take to make unfortunately doesn’t play well with it.
Even so, they are a wonder to watch.
Even with the algorithm against you I have no doubt you will fly past 100k soon. Who knows, you could eventually earn more from you tube then ferrying aircraft’s. Lol
Did i hear ye right ye said yer next craft was a 757 to fly do ye both fly boing&airbus and are allowed to switch back and fourth on them?????
@@kevincallaghan3212 yep they have a type rating in them all
As an aviation enthusiast in India, I sometimes experience a sense of disappointment because the only opportunity get to watch cockpit videos in India is when someone from another country flies here, as it is prohibited domestically (SAD) . Nevertheless, I appreciate your efforts, and I particularly enjoyed the "7" callout.
There is NO better show to watch late in the evening after a long a$$ day. If i fall asleep due to the perfect storytelling voice I can just rewatch over and over😂
Nice!
This channel gives me some serious Parts Unknown vibes, and that’s in the best way possible, probably the best video in the series so far, Well done Steve 🙌
Huge compliment. AB was Definitely a major inspiration for me
Now that you mentioned it, yes, totally agree with this. it definitely has some Bourdain´s vibes. The way it is narrated, the editing, i absolutely adored AB and these series are one of my favorite things in YT. Congrats Steve. A viewer from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Started off with crediting the whole team and I respect that! This channel is content relief from the usual aviation videos. Just as another user mentioned, this channel is like the Parts Unknown of aviation. Keep up the good work.
Thanks - we’ve got a great team here and I should get them in more videos!
I was so excited to watch the video when the title said: INDIA. And the next best thing is: you guys visited Hyderabad, the city I live in. I just discovered this channel a week ago. Can't stop binge watching all of your videos. Hyderabadi Biryani, the best!!
For sure! Glad you found us….
Absolutely love these films. They make me realise that aviation is my passion and I'm so envious of what you guys do. I need to figure out how to change career paths into aviation.
Just do it!
Ya,I think I need a do over the last 25 years .
Indian; based in California; avgeek; stumbled upon this channel a couple of months ago and binge watched all the videos within a week. Realized that uploads are spread around and so would have to patiently wait till the next one dropped.. subscribed all the same and decid3d to join the list of waiting fans…Imagine my eyes popping out when YT notifies me that the next video dropping involves India! Santa decided to come a quarter early but I’m not complaining.. Great job as always guys!! Back to the wait for the next one now ;)
Awesome thanks man!!
I love it that I get to combine my love of jazz and aviation videos in one sitting! Always quality output guys!
Hey! My ideal viewer right here!!
Steve your editing has reached a new bar of excellence! You have matched the music to the situation at hand. Well Done Sir! As always a great trip report.
Thank you! Always learning & improving
I’ve probably watched all the older videos five times waiting for this, so hyped 🥳😆
Love watching your adventures. Keep it coming!
As a pilot on the Embraer for KLM we do some long(ish) days up to 11 hours / 4 legs a day and sometimes when I feel like complaining about another delay and long working day I think about you guys and know not to complain because goddamn you guys are next level! Thanks for making these videos, so great to see another side of our aviation world but I wouldn’t want to trade with you haha! You guys seem to enjoy it and congrats to making the business and the RUclips channel such a succes. Cheers from a colleague at another crew hotel somewhere in Europe!
Bob cracks me up!
Another absolutely exceptional video Steve. I can imagine that a large part of the job is fairly monotonous... interspersed with some really interesting moments. You edit and film these flights fantastically, with just the right balance to keep the viewer engaged, and interested. This latest video must have been your longest upload to RUclips by quite some margin. Thoroughly enjoyable, and the video finished after what felt like 5 mins. I wish you and Bob blue skies, direct routings, immediate take offs, and zero ATC delays for the future.
Much appreciated!
The slow editing, the music , the culture and the piloting is a form of art
Thanks!
Bob is a legend he reeks of worldwide widebody experience and big picture flying, love to fly with him and learn everything he knows!
It’s true - he’s seen it all!
Love Bob! You'd expect him to say exactly "pilot" if you asked him his job
Yeah Bob is the goat
Steve, I cant thank you enough for blessing us with these movies... simply amazing
As a first time viewer seeing 2 americans flying to places like India.. im so suprised (in a positive way) seeing how you guys embrace the culture and explore the places. Im now a subscriber :D!
Yeah - we travel to 50-60 countries per year and have been doing so for nearly 20 now. Still try to get out and about as much as possible. Thanks for the comments! Glad you enjoyed it
Some of the best aviation videos out there. Thanks so much for your time and effort so that we can ride along.
Thanks for the Hyderabad tour. I was a missionary kid many years ago and lived a few hours drive from there.
Your videos are always worth the wait! Looking forward to many more in the future (hopefully)!
Stoked. Notification set.
Finally, I have a Saturday night with no plans, no kids, to watch this hour-long video with a kick-ass bottle of wine and no disturbance from my phone! These guys are great, and I love their videos and tweets or X's. I can't wait until the next one. I recently sold my business in Scottsdale, not far from Bob's kneck of the woods, that would have been great running into him.....I'm in Mesa now. Great content Steve & Bob!
Thank you!!! Very much appreciated
I enjoyed that. Thankyou.
I don't know how you guys do it...fun to see you both in action. The JAZZ is perfect for your video, time lapses etc. I really enjoy this so much. I am sure this is a ton of work to put out this content on top of your job of flying around the world, but know its much appreciated. Thank you!!!! Continued safe skies for you and every one at Nomadic!
Thank you!!
Thanks again for the very interesting ride(s) This is, hands down, the absolute best RUclips channel in my opinion. Must be quite a job just to keep all those ratings up to date. My deepest respect for you being able to making these high quality videos among, I guess, all the stressful situations you might get into despite having a great support team. Thanks again.
I absolutely love your videos!
AWESOME!
This is the best channel on RUclips or anywhere else for that matter. I can always patiently wait for the next adventure! 💕
Very much appreciated my friend
Good on y’all treating your employees so well… I’m still early in my career in aviation as a A&P but one day I hope to be in a position like yours. Hopefully with a bit of time, right decisions, and hard work we will get there.
Always love your videos
Love the videos✈
Congratulations Steve, Bob and the rest of the team you are tied with Blancolirio as my #1 youtube channels. It is quite an accomplishment to keep up with Juan Browne. Good work.
Hell yeah Steve love your vídeos and this is honestly an inspiration for me.
Next week im getting training in the A320 and hopefully one Day I cam work for ya.
Sounds good! Good luck with training
Thank god! I’ve been waiting patiently for another video.
Love the videos and content! keep the videos coming
If you pay for the trip to India for a week, I'll STEAL a jet for you. I'm only type-rated for the 747-100, 200 and 300 in Flight Simulator (MS) but I'm willing to learn ;) (Nestle Crunch)
Here's a bit of environmental trivia for the chemtrail fans >
who was Rosalind Peterson? > & extra credit...why did the UN invite her to address the Climate Committee in 2007?
& for the record....ALL contrails are chemtrails > but don't want to overload the flyboy's here with too much info🤯
RIP Rosalind Peterson 🙏 Founder of The Agricultural Defense Coalition & Author of The Anti Geoengineering Legislation that was introduced in Rhode Island in 2016/17.
Her UN presentation/address can still be found on YT. Strongly encourage all to take a few minutes to expand ones environmental knowledge base, especially for the indoctrinated pilots out there.
Rosalind was clearly another targeted individual who was very bravely speaking truth to power.
Yes all contrails are "chemtrails" in that they are formed by chemical byproducts of combustion in the engine, mainly water vapor that condenses due to the hyperlocalized increase of relative humidity and then freezes, aswell as soot particles that serve as nuclei for condensation. Though any further exploration of the process would probably vastly overstrech y'alls educational horizon, if that's not already the case.
@@ClimateDudefancy yourself above everyone else’s intelligence? WHY? Contrails ARE chemtrails. After all- they don’t form on pixie dust, do they? But we all agree on that, but WAIT! There’s MORE! Now there’s also an increase in ISSR’s- ice super saturated regions. YES!! But wait they’re MORE!! WHY? Do you know why there’s more ISSR’s than before? (And while we’re at it- funny that last time i checked, ISSR’s were conveniently absent from NOAA’s dictionary of meteorological terminology, but i digress!) SOOO… WHY is there more water vapor at higher altitudes than there historically used to be? Well contrails do lend to the addition of ISSRs (naughty little secret)… but you know what else we’re witnessing that affects water vapor daily but is being ignored?? ELECTROMAGNETIC ENERGIZING via Doppler radar! That’s right class, welcome to your climate change! Or am i surpassing YOUR level of knowledge now? Science isn’t just what’s taught in the books & propaganda. It’s what’s visible every day. We’ve triangulated on Doppler acting and THEN the weather reacting for years and in more ways than one. My original channel was taken down so we’re still getting the evidence up but we have it. We might not have the numbers that see, yet, but science is science and YEARS of radar observation DO NOT LIE! “Even small changes in the location and abundance of clouds can change the climate more than the anticipated changes brought about by greenhouse gases, human produced aerosols or other factors associated with global change” -NASA
SCIENCE.
But basic science and radar observation aside, despite most persistent contrails not needing to be sprayed to exist, it still doesn’t give you authority to discount the millions who witness anomalies that prove not all contrails are forming via ISSRs that are deliberate dispersals, that many people are seeing side by side planes acting differently; contrails turning off and on, contrails at altitudes that aren’t justified, and mass sickness on certain “contrail “ days that happen to have a whole host of extra planes that aren’t part of standard aviation traffic. You want to act like we don’t know what’s up there but the fact is YOU don’t know what all is and isn’t up there, DO YOU? Or DO you?? lol! Patents abound, and just siting some basic science doesn’t explain away the REST of the science, but NICE TRY!
You don’t think I of all people would blow the lid off of a real conspiracy if there was one? I mean, I answer to no one. I’m my own boss… I’m on the more liberal and environmentally conscious side….
Well, while it’s factual that the byproduct of combustion does create tiny particles of burned “chemical” material upon which the water vapor condenses on, it’s also true that we’re exhausting that shit along with massive amounts of CO2 whether there’s visible moisture or not - so the whole chemtrail nonsense is exactly that. Nonsense.
yes!!!! cant wait for more cockpit casual
