The kind of people who sign up won't be watching this video. There's no shortage of fools wanting to show off on Instagram who will sign up. That's the entire business model. It's scam, they no doubt made loads of money, paid out in salaries/interest on loans to parent companies but kept reporting a loss...classic exit scam. Just argue the business model failed, when in reality they ran off laughing to the bank.

they are trying to sell what private jet company call empty leg where the airplane is flying empty to or from a client. So, they are trying to sell a cheap flight to get some money back because they need to fly the airplane and might as well try to get some money back.

As a former charter broker and former charter pilot this is app is definitely highlights the 'sleezy' side of charter brokering. The app is selling 'empty' leg or repositioning legs that the plane would normally be a non revenue flight or leg. The charter world is constantly canceling flights because they only serve the true paying customer or their owner, not some 'sleezy' app. This was always the problem with booking empty legs, they seldom pan out and I seldom ever sold one.

Even worse, if you read their faqs on their website, one says "What happens if more than one person uses their priority?" and the answer is that it goes to the first person to buy it. Maybe its poorly worded, but it doesn't say "once someone buys it, no one can" it literally says the first purchaser gets it with no mention of a refund. Now, in their defense, it does clearly state that each person is only allowed to purchase priority once per year.

In regards to this company, it is 💯 a scam. Just because you were able to finally fly with them after spending like $2000, doesn't mean you can't call them a scam. It is not harsh to say that.
Also, you mentioned this being more like a lottery. Lottery never promises to win. It's chances. This on the other hand, it's a service. So not a lottery. It is a scam. I appreciate you showing us all this video about this company. Life is too short to be nice to these people running these kinds of companies and think they can get away with this. Scam. Period.

Contact your state attorney general office, and get a refund for every penny you have paid. ESPECIALLY anything you pay to get advanced in a waitlist for a flight that is later cancelled.
The attorney general's office has a longer get-a-refund period than the app store or your bank for chargebacks. And it is the step to take before small claims court, which would be well worth it as well.

My guess would be that they are selling you a space on a repositioning flight. So a private client will hire the jet at full price (10s of thousands of dollars) and when that flight is done instead of flying the jet back empty to its home base or an airport for another private booking they try to make some money and fill these empty legs that why the options seem quite random and all over the place but thats only my guess.

I recall a similar service from years back. I think what makes me classify them as a scam is the advertisement. Had they advertised "a remote possibility to get on a uselessly short ferrying flight from difficult to reach airport to another like it", it would've been a fair game. But the advertisement had two cheery people explaining how they're flying all over the country constantly, giving an impression you're just jumping for a business jet to another all the time like catching a local bus. This was obviously not the case, thus I'd ranking it somewhere between false advertising and flat out scam.
