I am retired now but as a former CKA (training pilot) for a major airline, a few things stood out in this video. At low altitude, who is guarding the throttles after the Captain takes his hand off at V1? IIRC, the primary reason for the Asiana crash in KSFO was the pilots thought the auto-throttles would always control the airspeed. The problem was, they put the jet in a mode where pitch controlled speed in a descent and the throttles went to idle and stayed there. If somebody's hand was on the throttles along with monitoring their speed, the PF would have realized the A/Ts were not controlling speed. Holding the yoke with two hands is common with novice pilots but it is a bad habit. Pilots flying with two hands also tend to move the yoke more than necessary (over-controlling). At low altitude, one hand should be on the yoke and the other on the throttles. There are times when two hands may be necessary, such as a complete hydraulic failure. The PF never looks outside until near the end of the video. This is also very common with pilots early in their training but it is a very bad habit that needs to be corrected. We all know a flock of geese can bring a jet down so we need to see them early and maneuver to miss them.
All very correct. I always wonder if Sully would have seen those geese if he had been looking. The instrument panel may have been blocking his view. Good comments.

Some of my best memories in aviation are when I was a private pilot. With birds, spot them early and maneuver the plane so they keep moving across the windshield. I was looking left to clear the turn. My FO spotted them ahead and snapped the jet back to the right. It was very close. As the left wing came up, they went under it. Keep the blue side up 😀

Why does everyone do an instrument takeoff (heads down). Don’t they teach a visual (look out the window) sight picture like glare shield on the horizon? Then, the auto pilot is engaged very quickly. Two pilots monitoring. Heaven forbid the auto pilot fails.
@bja2024 pilots are taught IFR rules in flying commercial aircraft, which is relying on your instrumentation more than just looking out the window. They're constantly monitoring their speed, course and heading through their instruments, which are much more precise than what they can tell from a mere visual. They still do glances out from the cockpit. Also the autopilot is engaged when they are sure that they are on couse as dictated by their onboard flight system. This simply reduces the amount of work they have to do, which they CAN revert to if their autopilot fails in any way. Even with autopilot engaged, they still have at least one pilot constantly monitoring the flight. Nothing is fully trusted to autopilot.

A kapitány ül a bal oldalon, jobbra a másodpilóta. Budapesten született görög pilóta volt, aki a '80-as évek elején "haza vándorolt" Görögországba. Egyébként a Szűcs Judit énekesnő sógora volt. Nagy élmény volt ez nekem, mindez 1991-ben..... Ma már ilyen nem történhetne meg.
I did some pilot training in 1968 but didn't fly solo, this was in small Victa Air Tourers (In NZ). I didn't continue but even the flying experience was fascinating. One instructor looped the loop! The whole world turned around, I was hanging looking down and the earth, space seemed to be underneath us....Taking off involves a series of checks (oil pressure etc and even looking to see if there are other aeroplanes). Taking off is easier than landing but a huge commercial plane!! It freaked me watching. I didn't see her as she was getting ready, obviously with help, to tour the plane to the runway and then. Well there is something awesome about a huge bird being able to fly. It seems almost a transgression...really amazing to see that.

Right after takeoff the first officer is on instruments flying the a/c. I think this is a training flight. As is usual, right after takeoff, the aircraft is programmed for the autopilot to take over. So as she was flying it, once, they clear the clouds and are on top, a glance ahead and out the window is normal.

She's doing great and obviously with many hours flying experience and know what to do.
As I commandeered my electric lazy boy chair in full leg extension mode while balancing the dual plastic bag of white corn tortilla chips and throttling my chilled Modelo liquid fuel I felt I played a major role in the successful takeoff procedure my ancestors who experimented with primitive flying machines would be proud of this major accomplishment.
Congratulations! I'm proud of you Leroy
It just shows that being is beautiful is a blessing!
Excellent pilot she made that look easy very smooth.😊
This have been my dream since I was 4 I am now a 14 year old girl and I can’t wait to reach my dream
She is so brave, an example to ladies out there ❤❤❤
girls have been flying planes for the last 90 plus years, Nothing new or brave
cool, thanks for sharing. The most challenging part isn't dealing with the gender, but rather how swiftly and skillfully you handle when an surprise issue arises. (just like the situation with Boeing recently issues, weather, electronic..)
I love beautiful girls who fly the friendly skies. I always dreamed of being a pilot. ❤
I dreamed of being a Marine Biologist #seinfeld
Professional in every sense of the world.
Wow! That's incredible. I was sure right from the beginning that she is Romanian! 😊So beautiful indeed! ❤💐🌹
She’s not a “beautiful female pilot”, She’s a pilot. Period.
She's beautiful though.
@@legioner9 So what? Does that make her a better pilot?
@@balsera04 I do not know. But beauty is certainly not a disadvantage, regardless. I smell you trolling a bit 😅
@@legioner9 Tell me something. What do you prefer when you’re flying, an “ugly” but excellent and skilled pilot, or a “good looking” one who gets nervous or can’t do well his/her job? And one more question, would you say the same thing about “beauty” if it was a “he” instead of a “she”?
You always this sensitive and woke?
4:40 - "What's that flashing?"
"We're losing our deflector shield! Go strap yourself in, I'm going to make the jump to light speed."
Very nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
When landing what's normal speed 220 or 180? Which planes have more faster take off speeds?
Great to see any professional
As a retired airline pilot who spent 40 years flying aircraft from Super Cubs to B747s, I find it utterly shocking that she didn't look out the window once after the "Rotate" call. Unbelievable! (not in a good way).
noted, barely a glance fwd either.
Wow so cool to watch. Have a great day.
wow this sounds just like in the sim with the PMDG, obviously this is the real thing but nice to see this kind of workload in the real 737 aircraft. great video.
Gyönyörű szép okos nő! Erre felénk nem látni hasonlót sem! Köszi a videót! Jó volt ezt elalvás előtt nézni! Köszi s továbbiak is legyenek! Zoli.
Nocsak!
I met a female pilot in Key West, Stacey she had just qualified to fly the 767. Darn neat lady. She bought a house there and had it restored.
Sounds like you may be a bit over infatuated with Stacy. Stacy's house must have been a dump to have to restore it already.
Congratulations to her!
Thank you
@@aviationattract4292 You're welcome
she is a co-pilot, its not her 737!
Flew out of Bucharest OTP last month on Tarom. Really like that airline. Small, but excellent!
I agree. She's a pilot. Not competent because she's 'beautiful '. Stop this . She's amazing. She's a pilot.
Beauty and brains is a fantastic combination, both should be celebrated
@@ehilton96 Was it male, would we have said "Handsome male pilot takes off in his Boeing B737-800? Don't think so.
or "Handsomeness and brains is a fantastic combination".
Looks and gender have absolutely zero to do with piloting a B73-8. The pilot appeared to operate the aircraft in a very competent and professional manner. Thank you for sharing the video.
Love the break out into the sun.
Don't we all?
My cousin is an international flight pilot. I'm proud of him.
She is so beautiful.
The "ready?" handover is not quite the formal "your controls" I was used to (now retired almost a decade). I've no idea what the SOP of this particular airline might be, but what I see is just a competent professional doing her job, gender and/or looks notwithstanding.
Ah oui !
Dit on ?
Un bel homme dans le cockpit !
C est une Pilote qualifiée.
C est tout !?.
Young , and heavy jet pilot. You rock.... girl.
I don't think she looks all that heavy.
Go girl. Go fly!
... hello captain, I respectfully greet you, I congratulate you for being part of this beautiful and exciting profession, as well as for the excellent location of your camera, also for having such a beautiful co-pilot, what more could you ask of life? .... from Colombia I wish you... good winds...👍👍👍👍👍👍 ...
Thank you so much 😀
She was in her office for the day ,You noticed they work together ,in unison To get that plane off the ground , It's quite Incredible isn't it?
What was that thing doing in the middle? Printing tickets?
It's the trim wheel being operated automatically.
Brilliangent amazing job proud of her absolutely amazing
The pilot from Romania?
Yes
No, Ukraine
@@johanstruwig3815 No, she is Romanian!
the power to get that off the ground is unreal
Thank you for this great video, nice TO and climb out.. I joined up!
I don't think you really "joined up" for the climb out.
Sitting in the jump seat (above the nose wheel) feels like riding in a shopping trolley, its so bumpy on some taxiways. They wanted the whole runway, started on piano keys. She flew by instruments the whole takeoff (cool).
She is a beautiful confident pilot good job ❤👍
BEAUTIFUL and PILOT is like comparing Apples and Oranges. She was a competent CO-PILOT. Don't forget, she's always being evaluated and TAUGHT by the PILOT in COMMAND.
Schönes Video !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Danke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Charming and very nice 🎉God bless you.
You could say she's a pilot, who happens to be beautiful !!
There are 3 fascinating things-fire is burning, water is pouring, a talented female pilot is working.
Bravo !

Indeed TAROM is the Romanian national airline, there are several TAROM planes on the ground and Otopeni is the Bucharest airport. Maybe Mr. Catalinache recognized the landscape.
I have another doubt however. The beauty is sitting in the co-pilot seat on the right. The captain is sitting on the left side and you can see his full profile at 4:38. So who is actually taking off; the co-pilot or the captain?
Congratulations on your sister. She is so intelligent and tougher than nails.
Yes, some get it all. Congratulations you beauty.
Can't wait for part 2 and 3 what will these pilots be doing
Great!
Thank you
@@aviationattract4292 Thank you for leaving comments
I actually saw her recently at jfk airport, and almost asked her out, but it was late, she was walking fast , and she just got in and seemed understandably tired. It would have been nice to learn more about her life and career.
She is constantly looking at the cockpit instruments during and well after the takeoff. Shouldn't she glance out of the front window occasionally, even for a second or two? I'm not a pilot, so just curious. Thanks
You mean to see where she is going?
Right after takeoff the first officer is on instruments flying the a/c. I think this is a training flight. As is usual, right after takeoff, the aircraft is programmed for the autopilot to take over.
So as she was flying it, once, they clear the clouds and are on top, a glance ahead and out the window is normal.
She’s the auntie of my friends brother’s girlfriend sister. Very kind person.
Beatiful pilot!
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING !!!!!!
A woman could do this - I HAD NO IDEA !!!!!!!
Next thing you know they'll be driving cars !!!!!
India has the highest percentage of women pilots in the world, with 15% of the total pilots being female, according to the DGCA. India also ranked top in gender equality at the flight deck in 2021, followed by Ireland, South Africa, and Australia, according to the International Society of Women Airline Pilots.
