I JUST WONDER AFTER READING AO MANY NEGATIVE COMMENTS IF SOME EVEN WATCHED JAKE AND NICHOLES JOURNEY FROM THE START HERE. THEY DID A AMAZING JOB. AND WHY NOT KET SOMEONE STAY THERE INSTEAD IF JUST LETTING IT ALL GROW OVER AND GET RUINED. I AM AVTUALLY SAD TO SEE THE CRATES JUST SITTING THERE AS I REMEMBER HIW EXCITED JAKE AND NICHOLE WHERE TO START ONE THAT. IT JUST ALL SEEMS SO DIFFERENT NOW IDK. I GUESS I JUST REMEMBER ALL THE HARD WORK AND HOW BEAUTIFUL IT LOOKED. GOOD LUCK TO BOTH FAMILIES. DO YAL REALIZE THEY GET TO USE EVERYTHING EVEN THE BOATS AND TOOLS ECT. WHAT A OPPORTUNITY OF A LIFE TIME. JAKE MADE IT ALL LOOK SO EASY AND ITS NOT! SO NO MATTER WHAT WE SHOULD JUST BE HAPPY FOR EVERYONE. HAVE A BLESSED DAY

Uncooked/raw rhubarb is actually pretty good if you dip it, before each bite, in a small bowl of sugar. We used to do that as kids.

Apple and rhubarb crumble with hot custard is a favourite dessert in our house. We grow our own and use a BBC goodfood apple crumble recipe for the crumble ingredients only - then we simply add frozen fruit (whatever we decide to throw in) we dont add the sugar it has on the apple crumble recipe to the fruit, its sweet enough without it because of the sugar in the crumble, and its delicious. And you can bulk make them and freeze them ahead of time to have delicious desserts whenever you feel like it! Gas mark 5 for 1hr.10mins and its amazing! ❤
We have planted rhubarb, apple, cherry, plum, pear, blackberry, blueberry, blackcurrant, redcurrant, whitecurrant, gooseberry, strawberry and raspberry so far (we only have a smallish garden so are limited space wise) and we also have vegetables added in there (tomatoes onions potatoes carrots radish beetroot parsnip broccoli cauliflower peas garlic lettuce rocket etc) but figured after 2020 that even if we only managed to cover some meals a year or cut our grocery bills down even by a week out of a year, thats better than nothing at all, and we can also try and regulate what we are putting in our bodies more. Less preservative and e numbers etc.... trying to make healthier choices that is also better on your pocket, but my favourite decision by far is planting the fruit for crumbles 😂.

Stewed rhubarb is one of my favourites. You boil it down with a little water and sweeten it to your liking. Similar to applesauce. I actually like it raw 😂. Great in scones or in cakes etc.

If you pick your rhubarb a little earlier it won't be "woody" and the plant will produce a second smaller crop. It makes great jam, pie with strawberries you can mix it with various berries. If you eat it raw you need to dip it in sugar.

You guys are great. You can just stew the rhubarb with white sugar and eat it like jam. It makes delicious pies mixed with other fruits, especially strawberries. One of my faves: Rhubarb Crisp! Look up a recipe online - awesome. Warning: you can upset your stomach if you eat too much. One other thing...plant flowers to attract the hummingbirds, it is way better for them. Hummingbird feeders attract bears, they can smell the syrup from miles away.

Rhubarb is a truly special ingredient. With its vivid pink colour and distinctively tangy taste, it can be stewed, poached, roasted and puréed in a range of dishes as well as drinks. Use it in a comforting crumble, a classic syllabub, a fruity chutney or a zingy kebab sauce - the possibilities are endless. We peel the rubarb in Belgium before we to use It! You can make jam to! Kiki i am not hear the Bell from you, where is my Jane 😅! Kira is amazing! You both are such beautifull persons! Love the vlog you both are so creative! Thank you. God bless and and be safe ❤😊
