hey guys welcome back to my second channel! it’s been a MINUTE since ive posted on here lmao but with the new year coming up i have some ideas for this channel that i’m really excited about! i’ll explain more down below but first lets get into what this video’s about lol. if you’ve been on tiktok in the past few weeks you’ve probably seen something related to xobrooklynne on your for you page, i found myself in the middle of it a few weeks ago and had zero clue where any of it had come from, i just knew i had an insane number of tik toks showing up on my newsfeed that were all talking about some song called “my crown.” so i ended up checking it out and turns out “my crown” was a song created by a popular tik toker named xobrooklynne as a response to her haters. she’s known mostly for her body positivity content so some people felt like the songs premise kind of came a bit out of left field and there was definitely some annoyance that yet another tiktoker was (seemingly) trying to jump start a music career but that’s a minor response considering the absolute hell storm this song managed to cause- people HATED it and xobrooklynne for making it. as time went on and brooklynne kept using the song regardless of her comments being flooded with hate it started to make sense why she was so committed to it all once the full album came out- cause it was all a bit. i thought we could check out the situation live on stream a few days ago by looking at the original music video, the album she dropped last friday and her response video to the situation that she posted a few days ago. and i thought we could chat in the comments about the whole situation too so if you’ve got any thoughts feel free to share! :)
ok so now that we have that out of the way, if you’ve been following my main channel for a while you probably remember that this channel was originally created to house lifestyle or vlog content, honestly just anything that I wanted to make but felt didn’t fit on my main channel. as you can probably tell that lasted for about one video LOL, honestly i realized i’m just not motivated to make that kind of content right now, probably in the future i will but i realized that letting this channel collect dust while i wait for that motivation is kind of pointless especially when i have other types of content i want to make but don’t have a place to put it right now. so i’ve decided i’m going to be uploading condensed commentary streams on here, that way if you aren’t able to watch the streams live or livestreams in general just aren’t your thing but you want to get involved w the content, you can watch it over here! there are always topics that i want to cover but can’t because they’re too small or don’t fit my main channel so i thought this would be a great way to cover them. i also really like the interactivity part of live commentary with chat so this was a great way to tie that in too! also this is ofc v inspired by what d’angelo wallace did with his streams so cred to him for the inspo! obviously im very new to commentary streaming especially, this one was quite literally my first attempt ever and I had to use my webcam because my dummy battery broke so apologies in advance + any tips you guys have feel free to throw them my way! hope you guys enjoy and i’ll see you in the next one!

Honestly this whole thing was brilliant. I think Brooklynne really just proved how quick the internet is to drag young girls for just having fun. She released a stupid song that isn’t even THAT bad and she got threats and was completely dragged through the dirt.

This was honestly so much fun to be part of :) I never really explained my situation around this song other than marketing it on TikTok (which was INSANE lol). But I’m Jillian Rossi (the Jillian from Jillian’s version lol) and I’m a singer/songwriter in LA. I’ve had some of my own viral success this past year for my original music but Brooklynne and I go way back bc we have the same manager- Noah. She was even in my music video for my song “So What” back in 2020. I co-wrote, co-produced and sang background vocals on “My Crown” with Brooklynne. It went even crazier than expected but this was very planned. So glad you liked it and made this video! :)

You are very correct! This does sound like a K-pop track, especially from a cheap girl group, which isn’t mean at all. K-pop is oversaturated with groups and many of them are from small companies. So with this also being like that, it does have that bland-ish sound and honestly isn’t bad at all. So saying it’s like Arc music factory or such isn’t wrong at all, because it’s the same kind of budget. Also it’s a bop!
