Definitively Ranking Albums My Subscribers Sent Me...
Hey everyone welcome back to the second channel! Last week I asked you guys on the community tab and on ig to send in some albums so we could do a live ranking on stream. It ended up being the most random collection of albums LOL but it was super fun, there are some recent albums like Taylor Swift’s Midnights, Blackpink’s Born Pink and Carly Rae Jepsen’s The Loneliest Time plus some classics from the 2010’s ~a la Lana Del Rey and Marina~. I thought it’d be fun to do a ranking like this live that way I could see y’alls reactions in real-time and it was honestly so fun i definitely want to do it again! Real quick wanna mention that this doesn’t mean I won’t be doing them on my main channel anymore, just that there are some specific topics I think are more fun to do this way vs others that I think work better as a main channel/edited vid so if you prefer one style over the other don’t worry neither of them are replacing the other! :)
As usual with these rankings while it’s definitive for me it doesn’t have to be definitive for you! Midnights tracks didn’t really make an impression on me that much but the bonus tracks made a strong impression right away. But then again, Taylor makes songs that take awhile to grow on people then later they’ll realize the mastery of it all
This is so true because even though I've been a TS fan from the jump, I could not stand Lover at first for SOME reason. Then I gave it time and listened again later and now some of my favs are from Lover.

Literally same, but they've grown on me so much now. It also feels far more complete as an album with the bonus tracks

I know Folklore got all the accolades and won AOTY at the Grammys, but tbh I think Evermore is better. She’s the younger sibling stuck in her big sister Folklore’s shadow. Right Where You Left Me is SO GOOD. It was my third most listened to song on Spotify Wrapped last year.

I personally think that Midnights (the main album) will have a similar trajectory to Reputation. The same people who dislike Reputation also hate Midnights, and they are sonically kind of similar. Reputation was also super controversial and a lot of people disliked it when it first came out, but over the years people appreciated it more. I think Midnights will probably be the same, although, like Reputation, it will always be a divisive album that some people love and some hate.
it's wayyy more popular than Rep though, I do think coming off the Red Re-Recordings it has the whole world's attention. The people who dislike it have been calling it "mid" due to it being so pop lol which is the funniest thing ever

to me all of twice’s titles are elite like even the ones people don’t prefer like scientist or TTT, sometimes their bsides miss the mark but i feel like their titles are produced so well
casey CASEY i am not a big swiftie, so when i listened to midnights for the first time i though it was good, not great. i have now listened to it four times and it’s grown on me so much. it is HEAVENLY 😜

Yo, seeing Shut Down and Typa Girl live were so amazing though. The performances of Born Pink tracks really helped me like it more. But you’re right, The Album is so high that it makes Born Pink kid in comparison.

Was I the only one who has Adele’s - 30 as S tier? The lyrics hit HARD. The beats are slow which I get is not everyone’s forte, and love how it feels timeless. Hold on, to be loved, love is a game, my little love, I drink wine, oh my god and easy on me where definitely on repeat for a solid 8 months.

I think that important moments on Punisher are very subtle, and that's why people feel confused or underwhelmed by most of the songs at first.

When Midnights (not 3am ver) got out, my firsf initial opinion, the album is a bit underwhelming, however that specific day, downpour happened and a bad news came as well, then I just realized it wasn't underwhelming at all, it just didn't match my mood, cause I literally broke down to tears while listening to Snow on the Beach even it's a romantic song 😭
Four is absolutely top tier, Fool's Gold is actually one of my favorite 1D songs
