- me and tony tear down a 1971 350 4 bolt main from a camaro to do a budget build on for jenny's 65 super sport, until we can get the ls7 fix right to put in the car.. this is just temporary just to get the car moving under its own power , but this 71 sbc was full of mouse nest and has to be cleaned and gone thru ... but it's way cheaper since me and tony both have lots of sbc parts laying around to use on this project... so it won't cost very much to get the malibu running for the first time in 50 years .. our email is h1971elcamino@yahoo.com if anyone would like to reach out to us thanks mmcg.

good call on the elcamino. man that chevelle is solid! my engine builder just did a mouse house engine. crazy what they can do to a motor while living in them

Hey Herb my neighbors son was given the same exact car. 65 Chevelle SS with a built 350 that has 10 grand in receipts for the engine alone. Another neighbors husband had passed away and Logan my other neighbors son helped her with everything until she moved. Logan liked the car so she gave it to him. It was her husbands project when he passed so it is in pieces except for the engine which is brand new never been ran other than break in. Every thing is there to put the car together. No rust anywhere and has the perfect patina. Not many 20 year old kids can say they own a in perfect condition "for a project " 65 Chevelle SS.

@@MMCGRACING yes I drive a 64 Chevelle 300 four door rust bucket. Easy to find in the parking lot for sure 😀.

there is no numbers on the front pad it's like the cee company that's on the oil filter housing shaved them idk.

Great idea to get the Chevelle back on the road while the budget for the BBC comes together. The Elco will go when the right deal comes along. And a spectacular car like that will get the right deal sooner then later. Look forward to more. Be safe and stay well.

I, wouldn't strip the trunk pan, of the oil. The degreaser, will excelerate rust production. Degreaser, is corrosive. Just, my 2 cents.
i thought of that after the fact.. so we're just keep it as is
they make some speckled sealer that looks like the factory's paint in there
@@MMCGRACING On, the flip side. Paint, doesn't stick to oil.
i figured i lasted this long keep as a survivor and keep a eye on it in the spots that the factory paint is thin then address it when the time comes 👍
