Everyone who is using that “he who is without sin cast the first stone” thing… please don’t compare voicing criticisms to KILLING someone. Very big difference.
Especially when the criticism is provably valid.
WOW- People tried making such a ridiculous comparison, what world did they come from?
Hey Bruce. Name one I said in the video that is a lie.
You twisted the narrative on everything to meet your needs.
@@Moose46316 You said I lied. Name one specific thing I said that is a lie.
@The Mormon Informant When I have time, I will correct your lies. These men, although imperfect, are prophets and apostles of God
I've never been a mormon but from everything I've researched I've come to the conclusion that it's a multi billion dollar business and just feel sorry for all those that have been brainwashed and don't want to dig deeper or are afraid to under threat of excommunication.
As a former Mormon, the horror I felt upon digging deeper and realizing the wool had been pulled over my eyes for my entire life ... catatonic is an exaggeration, perhaps, but I went around dazed and confused for quite a few days. Not only had I been lied to, but I had been lying to others like the people I knew on my mission on behalf of the church. Ballard's lie about how they never encouraged baptism before an investigator was ready was especially insidious. I had an investigator once who was mentally challenged, and to this day I'm haunted by how I inadvertently took advantage of that to issue a baptismal challenge I knew he would accept because he just wanted to make some friends.
Personal anecdote: I grew up Mormon and went on a 2 year mission. We would have monthly meetings to basically pep us up, motivate us missionaries. There was always a certain type of language and atmosphere to these meeting. My first job after returning home was a bank teller. Well, the bank would have quarterly corporate meetings w/ all the local branches. And guess what??? All those bank meetings felt the EXACT same as the missionary meetings. Same language, same tactics to 'excite' us, etc. It was my first eye-opener that all the church uses is the same mind tactics businesses use. It's a corporation disguised as a religion.
@@acerimmer8338 I was an EFY counselor for a few summers after returning from my mission. Looking back now, I see how literally everything -- from the classes to the dances to everything that happens on Thursday (fireside, testimony meetings, musical program, and the like; it's the most "spiritual" day if that makes sense) -- is tailor-made to evoke the strongest positive emotion possible. But, as I well know in my profession as a psychologist -- emotions can lie. That's why, when I really started to have doubts and when that last shelf item brought the whole thing crashing down -- I decided that in my investigations into the church and its truth claims, I would rely on logic and reason. Not solely on whatever emotions I was feeling.
@@acerimmer8338. Well said. I think the hold they have over people is very clever. The sense of belonging to a community, the rules to live by, the secrecy, the elite feeling. Which sounds very appealing to a lot of people as long as they ignore all the nasty secrets, their many abuses, their mistreatments and lack of care and help to many of their own. and blindly follow. Coercive control to avoid being ostracized. However, and unfortunately, I can see this so called religion prevailing because the organisation is very clever and there will always be more sheep who will follow blindly or perhaps many can ignore the sham of the religious and Masonic masquerades because it makes life easier or more accepting in the area they live and work. They do love building their temples ,don't they? Alas, members only get to attend if they have stuck to all the rules. Not an all encompassing church really for so many reasons. And, just think it's worth around $300 billion tax free. Money and politics and corruption.
Oh yeah, the church is growing so big that’s why there’s like 20 people at my ward and they’re all 70 years old

Ballard stating that “we(missionaries) were under the impression to invite baptism on the first lesson” is 100% truth. As a missionary I was taught that it was required, I was at a meeting where president nelson directly told us to do so. I was in Lima Peru setting baptism dates within an hour of meeting people. It makes me sick that Ballard pushes his shit into our shoes. I still carry a lot of guilt over what I did on my mission.
They know absolutely where this goal of immediate baptism began. I was told to do the same. Nothing much different than a high pressure door to door salesman.
We were told to do the same back in 1988.

As a missionary in Mexico from 1999-2001, we were told from the top -- Mission president, Area Authority etc that we needed to be inviting at least 10 people everyday to get baptized, and that was our top priority, much higher than teaching discussions. After all, it was reasoned (by them), they will get the gift of the Holy Ghost and that was going to bare witness of the truthfulness and help them understand the Gospel more. I am sure ALL disciples have said that to the Savior right?!
Issuing a baptism challenge during the first discussion was taught to missionaries in my mission by Loren C. Dunn (president of the North America Central Area). He told us that we should pray with the investigators during the first discussion about the truth of the Book of Mormon and immediately follow the prayer with a challenge tied to a specific baptismal date 2 or 3 weeks out. He role played with us in a meeting for zone leaders so we could practice and teach other missionaries in our zones.

@@TheMormonInformant Note that the instruction is to be BY THE SPIRIT. The need for baptism isn't a game of numbers. It is the first step in a journey toward knowing God. When an investigator feels the Spirit testify of truth, Satan will step in an attempt to plant doubts and fears. What the person needs MOST is the gift of the Holy Spirit to discern light and truth. This gift is given AFTER baptism. And that person is free to do what they wish at any time.

In 1953, at my first meeting with the missionaries, I was asked "If you find what we teach to be true, will you be willing to be baptized?" Was a good way not to waste their time IMO.
Thank you for such a comprehensive video. The story at the end. I just find so irritating pretended that he was right about the plane, catching on fire and spiraling out of control in a moment like that a woman screaming, does not define whether or not she felt like she had faith in God or not it was a fear reaction. And for him to downplay what she may, or may not have been feeling in a moment if you’re like that is just so condescending and arrogant.

Their words were recorded only in print form. They said them in real life, but no recording was available. I used A.I. to narrate their words in their own voice.
I think that sometimes a person might like to hear about baptism on the first meeting ..
They can always ask. Or the missionaries can try to feel things out. But making it the expectation and then claiming that you never did that is dishonest.
What do expect when church leaders have stated that the truth may be detrimental to your testimony of the gospel. Huh?? I, like Oliver Cowdery after finding out about Joseph Smith's tryst with Fanny Alger, have resigned from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints.
Well, if you understood what the Fanny Alger thing was all about, you wouldn't have blamed Joseph. Joseph sealed himself to men & women at the time to connect to God's family. Sealing did not equate marriage originally. That was twisted by Brigham and boys. So if you left, you should have really left over Brigham and not Joseph. Brigham was an adulterer, not Joseph. Brigham has a lot of blood on his hands and Joseph stated if Brigham were to lead the church, he would lead it to hell and would become the most licentious man in the world. All the dark fruits came from the tares in the church. Fanny Alger was known to be a virtuous woman all her life and married outside the church. Things were not as they appeared. Joseph, Emma and Hyrum spoke against these gross abominations of plurality of wives and just before Joseph got to Brigham to deal with him, he was murdered. You need to know the truth. Leaders in the church who know will be held in high accountability to God for these gross sins and furthering false history. Of course there are some who do not know the real truth of these matters. The church had been corrupted long ago. We sorted some things out but not all. The cleansing will come soon as per D&C 112.

Just one question! Who is profiting with all this money ? how about you do a video showing the expensive cars , mansions , expensive life styles etc ? ill be eager to see !!
Virtually nobody is profiting from it. The top leadership receives a living stipend of $160,000 a year (twice the median US income), and many of them do have several large properties, nice cars, and lavish lifestyles, but for the most part the money is simply hoarded for the benefit of no one.
It's all being invested in real estate, etc. And held in shell companies. Some have said, so they can provide the new government and take care of their flock after/during the end times.
Thanks for sharing this. Can you explain exactly what is meant by AI audio reenactment. What is actually done to achieve this result?
A sample of each man's voice is fed to a neural network, and through deep learning, it is able to reproduce the person's voice almost exactly. You can then make them say anything. For the purposes of this video, I have made them say only things we know they said, but don't have the audio recording for. This seems ethical to me, but I understand some might disagree. I also cloned my own voice, and the narration for this video is 100% from an A.I. clone of me.
Cloning someone voice without stating so in the video is unethical. You’d need to state that you don’t have the recording. By not providing actual recording audio you are asking us to trust in what you are stating which may or may not be true.

This is from the top leadership, but how many examples could we list from local and regional leaders. I tell people I've never been deceived by any person, government, or organization the way I've been deceived by the Mormon church.
XMormons are so blessed to figure out the truth through all the lies and deception of the LDS Church.
I'm not agreeing the wealth accrued by the LDS church is ok. But to put it in perspective a little, members (though perhaps manipulated) often pay 10% of their continual income to the church. There are 17 million members. That equates to about $5,881 per member. Just saying it's not very surprising it would be this much. Over a 10 year period, the average American household would pay about $60K in tithing. Honestly surprised the $100 billion is not MUCH MUCH bigger, and it probably is.
17 million is not the number who pay tithing, or even the number of adults who would be employed. And 100 B is just the amount we know about. A recent study found that 1.4 million members in the US actually attend each week out of the 6,804,028 members reported by the church. That's 20% of their reported membership. If their numbers are similarly inflated around the globe, then worldwide active membership would be 3,400,000. Only about 80% of those would be adults with a form of income. That means roughly 2,720,000 people worldwide are tithe payers. That comes to $36,764 per tithe-payer.
@@TheMormonInformant Yes, all of that. You don't have to argue it with me 😂
And as we both said, it's probably a lot more (unless it's all tied into property, which there is a ton).
Obviously just spitballing, but if we assume all your considerations "mas o menos" accurate (see what I did there), $35K from the average, single dedicated household is like 6-7 years of tithing in the US. And we know many members are extremely well off and would be multiplying this by large factors. Imagine a 6 digit salary from a faithful member over 30 years.
In my view, many church members think tithing is how money should be 'shared' rather than public tax. Yet, not only does it have a similar effect on the wallet, which they get upset about when it's tax, but the money to church stays inside, to benefit only a small group, and often not even the members themselves (rather a thick bank account).
In many countries out of USA the salary is very low or they work independently, earn less than 800$ per month.
@@isaknight5487 Correct, the very rough estimates I made don't even include other countries.

When noted, the voice has been reconstructed. The words are authentic, but the "recording" is simulated.
I’m curious: do you think they actually believe what they preach? Or are they faithless guys knowingly pushing nonsense because it gives them a bit of power?
My opinion is that if you the say the same a lie enough and throw in a lot of conviction behind it then at some point even you start to believe it. The GAs are treated like all knowing Rock Stars wherever they go the general membership hang on ever word they speak as some type revelation. So I think they believe everything they say is some form of inspiration even if it is not exactly true.
@@SteveSmith-os5bs Interesting. And certainly possible. I’ve seen it before in other groups. Do you think they think the BOM is historically accurate, or do you think they suspect/know it’s not, or what?
@Mahatma Randy I really don't think they care. The church doesn't spend too much time trying to authentic the Book of Mormon. The first presidency believes it took place in New State. Most apologists, I think, believe that most of the events took place in Central America, South America, and Meso America. The church still holds that Book of Mormon is a literal history of the Nephites and Lamenites.
@@SteveSmith-os5bs thank you. There’s two kinds of dishonest religious people that I am interested in. The most obvious one is people who are just lying to get money in power. The second one is people who actually believe, but they believe that that belief justifies a whole lot of lying. Because if you’re lying for a good cause, it’s not a sin, or whatever. Objectively it doesn’t make any difference but I just always like to know that kinds of people involved in these sorts of things. Is it a delusion or a scam? That kind of thing
@Mahatma Randy I think that it is more complicated than that. I was very much a true literal believer in the LDS church till age 50, and even after I found out that the church was a fraud, I still stayed active for 9 more years in order to preserve family relationships. Being LDS is not a once a Sunday religion. The church is very much the center of your life, very much like it would be to be an Orthodox Jew. Most Mormons are extremely honest and sincere. I think that the dishonesty in it comes from the very top and is just accepted as fact as it works its way down to local leaders and membership. The vast majority of active Mormons don't want to lie to anyone, and with most local leadership, it is never about power. Bishop and stake presidents hold the position for about 5 years. Mormon culture can be a very complicated subject.

I went through my entire preach my gospel handbook and it said nothing about inviting to baptise during the 1st lesson! If it is written in there it is most likely in the 1st copies or perhaps more recent. @@Sethleon-qf8tl This is anecdotal, but in my mission in 2009, the entire mission was required to invite investigators to be baptized on the first lesson, and set their baptism date for one week later. We were chastised and derided for being disobedient if we didn't invite on the first lesson. "The Lord couldn't bless us if we didn't have the faith to boldly invite people to be baptized during the first lesson." The spirit was not a consideration.

I went on a mission because I understood it to be my duty, because I felt I needed to set an example to my younger family members, and because not going never really seemed like an option. I had a "testimony" in the sense that I was convinced by my sheltered knowledge of the church that it was true. But I had never had any answer to prayer, or any spiritual confirmation of anything related to the church. I hoped that going on a mission might change that. Instead, everything quickly fell apart. I'm happy to get into details if you want.

I'm gonna be straight forward I am a convert to the church and I have done a lot of research on the church. I don't believe in the church because of what the brethren say I believe in it because Jesus Christ told me to believe in it. Every time I start having doubts there's always something to pull me back and about 80 percent of more of the time it's Jesus Christ. I always have inspired videos pop for me just telling me to have faith and keep going. Now would Satan want me to strive to follow the commandments of God? No he wouldn't. He would do everything to keep me away. I know that the church is true. I know that a lot of the things the church does is super shady like the BYU shock therapy thing is something else. Something else I have learned is that I'm not going to get all the answers right away. That sometimes it takes time to get the answer. So even though all this is super incriminating it will be revealed to me eventually. Now my testimony is that God has told me that the book of Mormon is true so that means Joseph smith was his prophet and that means these men are his chosen apostle. Look at Peter for example. When the savior told him that he would deny him he told him he wouldn't. Well we know that he did intentionally for his own life. I don't see red banners and stuff for him do I? I don't know all the facts but I know as I listen to these men they speak truth probably not every word but it keeps me going.
I converted ten people to the church. It is one of my biggest regrets, and I hope they all got out eventually. If it makes you happy, don't let me get in the way of that. But don't ever let the church take advantage of you. The church has $200 billion, and doesn't need your tithing. Your time belongs to you, and its not selfish to say no to assignments and callings. Don't let it take anything from you that you don't want to give.

I remember on my mission hearing stories about other missionaries baptizing people who didn't want to be baptized. Some paid them to be baptized and some were baptized because they had a crush on one of the missionaries.
I just left the church for the very same reason, went back to the Methodist Church where I belonged. What a difference, I was welcomed with open arms, no judgement, no telling me how much tithing I would be paying, and they actually mention Christ in song and sermon.

Your church is already shrinking in relation to the world population, and will officially be in decline by 2030. 36% of people born in the LDS church leave and never come back. Less than half of millennials born in the church are still members. 34 percent of Gen Z are religiously unaffiliated, and that number is climbing. Only a third of gen Z members are predicted to stay in the church. Your active membership is less than five million. That's only 0.06% of the world population. That is as high as that percentage will ever be.
I think that it is really an important detail that the shocks were not given to the biceps, but directly on the dick. It was also measuring arousal and giving shocks when detected.
That is false. The study details the exact method, which involved shocks to the bicep, and a plethysmograph on the penis to measure arousal. No shocks were ever delivered to the penis. The rumor came from a single ABC article reporting the experience of John Clarence Cameron, a participant in the study. I emailed John personally to ask if the article got it right, and this was his response:
"ABC got it wrong. I asked then to retract it but they posted a correction separately. so that misinformation is still out there. The electrodes were placed on the soft part of the underarm - always."
The author likely misunderstood the purpose of the plethysmograph, and assumed that the shock was delivered by it.

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
... And now, if there are faults they are the mistakes of men; wherefore, condemn not the things of God, that ye may be found spotless at the judgment-seat of Christ.

This is a really good video and I really appreciate the information. I’m not a fan of the AI generated voices, though. But the implication that a person could use things like deepfakes and AI generated voices to make it look like a person did or said something they didn’t do is troubling to me. Again, the video is great and you’ve done good research, I would just suggest being careful about using AI generated voices.
A.I. becomes unethical when you make a convincing clip of damning or embarrassing words a person hasn't said, and present the clip as being genuine. Here, the words are 100% their own, and have been clearly marked as fake.
In most of these cases, a real recording existed at some point, or probably still exists but isn't available to the public. Knowing these words were once uttered by these men, it doesn't feel terribly unethical (to me at least) to make them repeat their own words. I believe the transcripts to be accurate enough that nothing here has been misrepresented, but nothing would make me happier than the church pulling out the actual recordings to correct the record. I do understand your unease, and I hope I have done more good than harm by producing these clips.

@vp3970 History and genetic evidence suggest that modern Jewish DNA is neither an inclusive nor exclusive indicator of the genetics of ancient Israel. Throughout history, the Jewish population was reconstituted from only a fraction of its former people on at least several occasions. Only a fraction of the Jews returned from Babylon; only a portion of the Palestine Jews survived the Roman counterattacks following the Jewish uprising which culminated in the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD; many others perished in European pogroms. Dr. Robert Pollack notes that Ashkenazi Jews, which constitute most of the present Jewish population, “descend from a rather small number of families who survived the pogroms of the mid-1600s. It has been proven that because of so much intermingling with the Babylon, Palestine , Roman's, that the modern Jew is not a good baseline. If is easy to see that today’s world Jewish population does not contain all of the genetic data present in pre-dispersion Israel.
