My channel is focused on creating content about my favorite TV show Supernatural, from reactions to analysis videos, reviews, ending explained videos, top 10 lists, theories and everything in between. They lose family and find new people they call family. They have gone to heaven and worse for each other and will do it all over again. Cause that's what FAMILY does and "Family don't end with blood". Follow the adventures of the awesome Dean Winchester and Sam Winchester who lost his shoe and is deathly afraid of clowns, on their journey to avert the next apocalypse and save the world. This actor who.played Deaths character, was and is the most intimidating character in the entire series, no scary face, black or yellow eyes and no bloody killings, just him and that carasmatic voice

Hello Leo, I just loved this episode. Especially when GodCastiel killed Raphael which was Billie of course, but when she came back as death well I hated it! Never cared for Billie. It was all about that stupid pack they made ugggg! I was happy that castiel finally told them how much he still cared for them. So happy Mary didn't kill herself! Death still had a little sense of humor about the pickle chips lol. So that's where Dean and Castiel go to pregotory. But i was sort of sad but happy dean finally killed death. Met the actor at a comic convention. He enjoyed putting malt vinegar on potato chips wrapped in bread as one of Death's favorite snacks.
I love how Death isn't even at all PHASED that Dean killed him instead. He's just got this face like; "You stupid, stupid little fool" right before he turns to dust.

Can you imagine what it would be like to be an astronomer in that world? Everything is normal, Copernicus and Kepler and Newton happily predicting the motions of the heavens and then...wait, what?! How is there another eclipse?! Did the moon jump backwards in its orbit?! Did a new comet appear from nowhere, with no tracking data whatsoever, and come so close that it momentarily blotted out the sun?! (Actually, I think that one could theoretically happen if it came from sunward, but it would still be wildly surprising.)
People doesn't understand how crazy that is, he is moving the Sun and Moon just for them.
Death was actually one of if not my favorite character in the show. The actor played the role perfectly. Everyone is afraid of him yet he's not really malevolent.

I miss julian richings as death, no offense to the actress but I didnt like Billie as death at all tbh. That and julian had this uncanny demeanor that helped him nail the character.

I think it was because when death was around he reminded them of a lingering fear of death and how it supposed to be a permanent thing and also let's them know that he is a bit pissed off that they keep coming back because they are gods favorite toys

Tragically, yes. I will preface with the fact that I'm pretty sure the actor himself had gotten too old and/or sick to play the character anymore but I'm not 100% certain that was the reason so take it with a grain of salt.
As for the actual recasting though, was a BS diversity play (black female replacing white male) who used to be a Reaper that had a particular hatred for Dean. Apparently Death is a title now and it just passed to her with the Scythe which granted her all the original Death's knowledge, memories and abilities. It was pretty cheap and lazy and has essentially ruined the character for most of the fanbase. She actually wasn't half bad as a Reaper and did well enough in that role that I actually liked her character for the most part but her entire character portrayal as Death is awful.
It has none of what made the original Death so popular. It's like someone wanted to make a new-age half edgy, half strong independent ethnic woman in a position of authority version of the character and that's exactly what it feels like. She has no gravitas whatsoever, doesn't elicit any real fear from anyone outside of what is contrived by the script, has no real personality or sense of humour, no dry wit, nothing even remotely remarkable about her to make her stand out as a character period.
It was all very disappointing to me as someone who's favourite character in the entire series was death.... aside from maybe Cain. Cain was awesome. Also honourable mention to Crowley's Mum.

Yeah, it suffered a lot from power creep and spectacle creep. The idea that a sequel can only be better by getting bigger, that the threats and stakes always have to go up.
It's a major problem in a lot of media. It pops up a lot in video games especially.
I actually really liked the British Men of Letters season for this reason, it was one of the few times they went smaller, and kept up the tension by making the stakes personal instead of world-destroying. And I also really liked Arthur Ketch :)
At the start of the show, you couldn't fight demons, they were too powerful, so you had to outsmart them. Trap them, surprise them, stuff like that. Now, they trade punches with angels, demons, leviathans, things that by rights should be able to grab them by the shoulders and tear them in half without any effort.
The first time they encountered a demon, it had pulled the door off a plane mid-flight. That's what, 3 tons of pressure it had to exert? If someone that strong punched a human, the human would turn into a cloud of red mist.

At least killing Demon is make sense since they are in the lore can be defeated with this exorcism, holy water, and they are a lower being than human. But killing Angels? Really? The show tries to make Demons and Angels equal when literally Angel can warps reality, go to the past or future, knowing the future, can destroys earth if they want to. While demon whole deal is just taking a victim body, and throwing telekinetic power. Really massive difference. Trash show

See I would think this but Cas actually KNEW Michael and Lucifer. He KNEW how powerful they were and still believed himself above them. Maybe he was just overestimating his own power (which he seemed to do initially when confronting Death) but still the question remains...
Castiel made me cry when he said "you mean too much to me" but then made me laugh my ass off when he said "you made a stupid deal and I broke it. you're welcome." Supernatural, pls don't end. I have come to the conclusion that Sam and Dean will die or live happily but don't end the show. have their kids or someone else continue it. it too good to end.

See how Death acted as a sort of God stand in consultant figure. I think he cared more for 'Our' World and our boys more than he let on. My theory is Sam and Dean entertained him especially since Sam unbinded him from Lu so maybe he liked them more than he let on. Why else did he give them all those warnings and favours? Godstiel was fun for his brief time but Death made him look miniscule as he did all :( "Stupid little soldier you are"

You can tell this is the real Death. The boys fear, and respect him whilst they show no such feeling's towards Billie. They already knew she was selfish, and lacking for maturity or professionalism.

The only bit I feel you’re wrong on was Dean “mistakingly” killing The Original Death. Demon Dean killed OG Death for Sam. That was his human side reacting on instinct to kill out of protection for Sam.
The scariest thing to that part was seeing Death’s face, knowing he’s about to die for trusting his personal favorite of The Winchesters, Dean. Also I think Death wanted to kill Sam, not outta personal spite, but to ensure the Devil could never use Sam as his Ultimate Vessel, & vain even greater power. To become a Being even Death cannot mill.
Even if Lucifer got Sam he would no candle to death when death had gone to retrieve Sam's soul he had to fight a enraged Lucifer and a Insanely Angry Michael but he still retrieved sam's soul with relative eas
So what if Sam was Lucifer's ultimate vessel, he still wouldn't stand a chance against Death.

As a matter of fact, Jesus says that if you sin too much you end up “in the place of gnashing of teeth and many worms. And in that place is where men love men and perform abominations.” Paraphrasing of course. So Jesus was saying that if you’re in hell, you’re probably practicing sodomy. Definitely preaching AGAINST these painful, deviant, and damaging dark arts. But these things matter so little to our Father, because in the end, he knows they will find their way back on the path, which is why straight men can love their women without condemning homosexuality. It’s a choice, and Jesus just wants to help us make the right choice.

I wish they kept the original death. I would have loved to see his interactions with Amara, and Chuck. The replacement wasn't nearly as powerful, intelligent, or intimidating . She was just a reaper who fell into the job.

For those who think think all 4 Archangels are equally in power well no Lucifer and Micheal are the strongest " For Ex " Michael opened the portal to purgatory with just a snap of his Fingers remind you he was handcuffed by some cuffs that weakened archangels to some degree and he still had enough power to open the portal with just a " Snap of His Fucking Fingers " mean while an full powered Raphael with no handicap or weakness at all yet he still needed to preform the ritual to open a portal to purgatory. Yeah that's a clear difference in power if u ask Me !
Even if u say that Archangels aren't the same strength. They are still relative to each other. Cause we know in Season 13 that a weakened Gabriel whose less than or equal to Raphael in their vessels was able counter and stagger Alt. Universe Michael with a punch in a fight and pushed him back which Lucifer says that Michael is more powerful than the Main Universe Michael. It should also be noted that Michael snapping his fingers to open a portal could just mean that he is in a stronger vessel. It has been told many times that Dean and Sam are descendants of Cain and Abel, these strongest vessels that make an Archangel stronger than normal. Maybe Raphael was in a weaker vessel. Even Castiel admits that even though he is an Angel in his true vessel, Lucifer was slowly burning through it. So even weaker vessels that are better suited for holding Angels more than vessels like Nick(whose body was burning from the inside out and Lucifer needing demon blood to keep it intact) are still at risk of losing their life holding an Archangel
People keep forgetting that not one of the strongest Archangels in Michael and Lucifer could snap their fingers and smite Gabriel even in his weakened state. They had to resort to fighting one on one and developing Archangel blades to kill each other. If Michael was that powerful in the other reality, he just would have simply flung Gabriel around and smite him like they do with demons and angels. The closest we saw to an Archangel killing another without a blade and he wasn't even a pure Archangel was Jack. Without his grace and using the power of his soul was enough to grab Michael out of Rowena and incinerate him and take his grace
Castiel was not afraid of Michael and Lucifer. He just wanted them contained for obvious reasons because it is Lucifer and Michael "2 of the strongest Archangels" in true vessels descended from Cain and Abel which makes them way stronger than before. If they both ganged up on Castiel, that could be a big problem. The fact that Castiel even stepped up to the original Death says something about his power at the time. Remember 4 archangels working together could weaken God or Amara. Castiel smited Rafael so easily which is impressive. Why? because Gabriel got most of his grace consumed by Prince of Hell Asmodeus so the demon is much stronger than he was before and Gabriel powers up again and incinerates him easily. So these Archangels at full power are no joke and Castiel's presence with a glimpse of his power intimidated Raphael, stopped him from teleporting with a thought all while allowing Crowley to go free and snapped his fingers and killed him. Ever seen an Archangel stop another Archangel from using their abilities? I never seen it. Lucifer couldn't even tell that Gabriel used a decoy of himself to get away. He thought he actually killed Gabriel, which means Gabriel is powerful enough to confuse Lucifer in front of his face despite these beings being able to perceive the true form of supernatural entities like demons, angels, God, Amara, Death. Also Lucifer admits he taught Gabriel everything he knows yet somehow Lucifer still got played and fooled by Gabriel. We can also speculate that some of their abilities are a skill thing. We know God made it seem like he was the only one who controlled space and time and Amara didn't know Chuck orchestrated everything from the beginning and knowing Jack was alive the whole time

Gaming Centric chuck. This castiel was scared of Lucifer and michael chuck snapped his finger and killed jack. The jack that Lucifer and alt Michael both feared. Chuck also made Lucifer powerless against hurting Sam and dean. Chuck should easily win.
Gaming Centric Yeah, as powerful as Castiel became, he still couldn't hold a candle to Chuck. He was, perhaps, stronger than Michael though (there was a fairly significant gap in power between the eldest brother and the third, given that what required a spell for Raphael to do, Michael did with a snap of his fingers).
@@SeraphimxSins this is true yes, and catiel became a mutated angel as no longer could he be killed by an angel blade, but how strong would this mutated angel stack against the Archangels? were there any other mutated angels that ever existed other than castiel? would he be more powerful than jack? what about the anti christ, he was able to warp reality easily and was said that if he and lucifer were together the anti christ could destroy the host of heaven with just one word.
So would castiel fare well against this so called anti christ if lucifer were with him or at least were at full strength?

Gaming Centric The whole, "mutant angel" thing.. I think that was just Death's way of teasing Castiel that was on a power trip.
It's seems more like Castiel was just supercharged is all. To the point where he became immune to normal angel killing weaponry.
The Grigori would technically be considered "mutant angels" too, given that they also feed on human souls. Not originally, but they went rogue.
As for more powerful than jack, that'd be a hard no. Not if jack is 'all grown up'. While Chuck could kill Jack easily at the time, it was still true that Chuck was genuinely worried about the kid. Whereas, he never even bothered to show up when Castiel was supercharged on Leviathan and soul juice. Now, that might have been because he knew that it was only temporary and that Castiel could never contain that much power, but it was still not on God's level anyways. God-like? Perhaps, but not actually on his level.
Gaming Centric In regards to the Antichrist. Well.. how impressive reality warping is depends on the scale and extent that you can do it. For example, Raphael could fuck over the entire eastern seaboard with just his arrival.
As neat as the Antichrist was, I believe the whole thing about him and Lucifer being able to take out all of heaven with just a word was likely exaggeration/rumor.
Given Lucifer's tendency to exaggerate a bit sometimes in order to stroke his own ego (like the time he claimed he could best Amara since he's fought her before).

Thats why i stopped watching this. After like 3 seasons it became one big mind fuck. Always reaching. I preferred the two angry brothers going town to town saving damsels and killing beasts.

Honestly, I have to agree with Castiel about Purgatory being the only option. They were facing down Raphael, and there was literally no alternative. All Dean did was complain about Castiel's plan and say that they needed to find a better one, but he wasn't actually offering up any alternatives. They got down to the wire, and Dean still didn't have a plan. It's like he was waiting for the writers to Deus Ex Machina them out if the situation. And Castiel goes through with the purgatory plan, becomes God, and solves their problem. Of course, he also creates new problems at the same time, so everyone says that his decision was wrong. But it was the ONLY option. It was the ONLY way that they could have defeated Raphael.
This is the equivalent of nuking the home intruder.

@@antibull4869 I mean, maybe. It's just that the world was going to end if they didn't defeat Raphael. Their only option was to nuke him. But Dean goes "Nooooo what about our property values? There has to be a better alternative!" And then never came up with a better alternative and Castiel had to break out the nuke, and then everyone got mad at him and acted like he did something wrong for tanking their property values when he literally prevented the world from ending.

I'm not the biggest fan of all the directions supernatural went, and as much as I liked part of the ending it was all over dramatic and very drawn out. However. If there's one thing they did right it was death.

People bitch about Billie taking the place of the original Death, but has anyone considered the real-world possibility of Julian Ritchings (the actor who played Death) not being able to negotiate for a better contract? Or of him simply being TIRED of the role? He's an actor, and a human, after all. I honestly think it wasn't just a bit of bad lore that caused the end of Death, but the fact that the real world creeped in on things.
I wonder what the doctor and his wife were thinking, “this guy saved the world??” 😂😂
