@@AussieRider20 ruins it is a bit strong. As soon as I learned Chuck was God and season five, I knew he was the ultimate bad guy. After all, he was the one who created all of the misery that Sam and dean had to go through. The only complaint I have is it took 14 seasons for them to realize that it was him who was the author (no pun intended) of all of their grief.
What if chuck wanted to be defeated? To me, Chuck knew everything, he's all-knowing, so I knew it would end that way, but that's what he wanted: to be the last and most powerful boss in his story: Supernatural. However, he wasn't the best in this role as other antagonists were a bit more natural and interesting, but Chuck isn't an actor or a character, he's a writer. He could get rid of people and Sam and Dean if he wanted to. He didn't do that because I think he didn't want that. Also, in Despair we see that Chuck knew about Jack's death and plan, he really seems to be omniscient. The last scene near the lake where its protagonists Sam, Dean and Jack win by taking all their divine powers is, according to me, desired by Chuck (as seems foreshadowed in Atomic Monsters). And he probably wanted to be killed by them too, it would have been an honor (but he probably knew they wouldn't). The begging part and his defeat was theatrical, just the way he likes it: the evil almighty God who destroyed the worlds losing to the good and fantastic protagonists of his story and cursed to be a mere human being for the rest of his life. his life. A poetic ending like the one he said he wanted at the end of 14x20. That for me explains a lot of things about the season 15 finale and it doesn't ruin Chuck's character.
Yeah, I can't buy that💁🏻♀️ Chick wasn't evil, they just made him evil because they apparently thought they just had to keep going bigger and bigger until inevitably God himself becomes the bad guy. It's just dumb.
I wish Lucifer and Michael played a bigger role in the finale. Seeing them make peace and fight against God then rule heaven together would have been soooo good. Especially after rewatching this episode that really humanized Lucifer. It sucks that they just made him into a sarcastic villain again after this
All Lucifer ever wanted was to be GOD and become more powerful then him and that's where he made his first mistake. Lucifer will fall and rot in hell when it's all said and done and that is something he already knows.
@@masterreaper115 he couldve created perfect beings but no, had to create flaws, had to create corruption, death, evil. Why did he? Why make us flawed? Is that not evil?
@@thelonelyduck7267 lol the only flaw he gave us was to give us the chance to choose good or evil.. unlike luci and them Angel's, they are following a script.. a script to separate the wheat from the tears. There's your evolution, to either go with the evil of the world, or die not being a part of the evil and sick things happening to humanity since the beginning of time.
13:00 it's funny how the angels and archangels don't look in the mirror when saying humans are flawed murderous when they themselves and god are both the same. a quote would be "you are what you create"
Now i finally understand why Michael and Lucifer chose the vessels they did, now you understand the story of cain and abel and why Dean was able to relate to Cain, why Cain killed his brother, the good son going down the road of good intentions, now the speech that Lucy/Sam makes at the end reflects the speech in the final season.....ITS BRILLIANT....
Doesnt everybody in this fallen world have daddy issues ? That's why they are destroying the family and making sure all the kids are educated by the state
I remember when this show was about hunting a supernatural entity that had yellow eyes, later confirmed to be a demon, and to stoping the apocalypse and the rise of Lucifer.
Interestingly, the entire God and Lucy therapy scene raises so many logical inconsistencies. So God knew that the mark would corrupt Lucy, so imprisons Lucy and Amara? Apparently the mark is the problem. Also, God allowed some simple oversight such as Death’s scythe to be Death’s undoing AND the one-shot means to unleash the darkness? Speaking of the darkness. Since nothing can escape from the empty (except when a god-level character calls for it), why didn’t Chuck toss Amara into the empty? Also, for an omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient being, God was clueless about the future and the effects of things it should’ve foreseen, such as extinction events (which weren’t due to human intervention)? And, it allowed human beings to destroy each other instead of reengineering out genome to eliminate greed, hate and disease?
Kind of ironic that Lucifer in Sam's body is wearing an all white suit, which white is synonymous to being pure. Also ironic that Dean said that he'll always say no to Michael, but in season 13 he doesnt.
In Supernatural, Michael was the first archangel but Lucifer was the most beloved prior to his corruption by the Mark bringing out his dormant jealousy towards his brothers and humanity and amplifying it to omnicidal levels.
@@AspieMediaBobby Amara said Lucifer was God's first Son when she captured Lucifer. maybe Lucifer and Michael were created in the same time but Michael take the role of big brother
Absolute power definitely corrupts absolutely. When you think about it Chuck wasn’t always the villain. At some point in the past he did genuinely want to help his followers. But as time grew he became disillusioned with the world and its people. I mean when you could literally create entire dimensions like nothing then do your creations really mean that much when you could snap your fingers and create infinitely more it wouldn’t be long before you start wondering what is real and what is fake. I mean if you could literally create a person with a snap of your fingers are they real? I kinda like the route the writers are currently going with Chuck. A benevolent entity that was corrupted by his own power to be disillusioned with reality.
I agree but that is not corruption. It is just might makes right dynamic and expression of egoism which is fundamentally only basis of "morality" for all living creatures.
Lucifer literally has tortured human souls to the point of turning into demons, then had them do it to other humans. Then all those demons went up to Earth and caused lots of messes. I mean..... where does he get off claiming to be such a victim? Have we forgotten what he did to Sam in the Pit?
@@กฤษดากลิ่นพิกุล Yes, Lucifer had it all figured out. In my opinion, Lucifer is the smartest among all the angels. It can't be a coincidence if we call him a "light bearer" But still, I want to believe that God had his own reasons for doing this. Even Amara (her sister) thinks that God is not bad and that he has his own reasons. What if everything was a test to prove family values? I refuse to believe that God is the villain of the last season. I'm sure it's Billie who lies for his own interests
I read this book the Revelations of Lucifer the Divine and how it painted Lucifer changed my whole perspective of him. And to actually see it being kind of played out... How much Lucifer does care is something I really thought I would never see on TV. It honestly warms my heart while at the same time breaking it because of how he just wanted his father's love.
3:13 Looking back at this and seeing dean say that you can say sorry without really meaning it and with the next scene with god and lucifer and god saying that lucifer was his most prized son and knowing the future seasons you realise that everything he said to lucifer was a compete lie and likely didnt mean any of it.
"There's nothing down here but a bunch of hopeless distraction addicts. So filled with emptiness- so desperate to fill the void that they don't mind being served a rerun of a rerun of a rerun." What a poignant commentary on the show, the entertainment industry in general, and us as viewers/human beings! Like, ouch. Even as I type this and you read it we're proving his point. Well played! Well played! Major kudos to the writers on that one.
To this day, I'm not sure I approve of the God heel turn. Not because I'm religious or anything, but because he had never really hinted at a bad nature in any of Kripke's seasons.
24:44 I couldn't help but laugh when Lucifer asked to be called that. It's not only the fact that it's ridiculous, it's just so cute. But not in a pitiful way- it's just.. adorable
It's crazy to know that lucifer was right about god the entire time 8:42 how he really was just controlling everyone with lucifer just wanting to walk away but micheal couldn't realize he was just like everything else that god made puppets with strings.
A very can you stop being the king and be just my parent? situation, and of course Chuck can't. So all his kids either act out or are perfect soldier.....the parallels to the Winchesters is brilliant.
I was wrong. It was a well-written and well-plotted series. I was still a big fan till the whole God thing showed up, but I still watched it to the very end like I did with Angel. Thanks, Wayward Winchester !
14:36 - When Lucifer was talking to Dean it was like it hurt him when Dean said that, almost like he was talking to his brother who said something very similar to him. Lucifer may be evil but it’s not entirely his fault. Especially considering Chuck wanted this all to happen. He wanted to lock Amara away, he wanted the Mark to corrupt Lucifer and he wanted it to corrupt Dean so that they would unleash Amara so that he could come play the hero.
In the original translation of the Hebrew bible Lucifer wasn't ever depicted as evil or against god more as a tester of people. He also wasn't the snake in Eden that is something made up to put on a good vs evil storyline. And his actual fall from heaven isn't depicted as something that has happened more so as something that is going to occur.
Loved this episode it was so cool and AWESOME. Gonna miss SPN. I'll just continue to watch reruns. Love to Jensen and Jared and everyone else bye Christine FAN 4EVER.
Yk it’s funny, in the scene where Lucifer is talking to Michael asking “why are we doing this” makes a lot more sense seeing how the show ends. It’s all just part of God trying to make a story, he actually peeps the fact they’re pitted against each other no reason besides God’s enjoyment.
That first scene where God apologizes to Lucifer would have been so much more impactful if Mark Pelligrino played Lucifer in that scene. I love Cas, but that should have been Mark.
Reading all these sympathy comments for Lucifer and realizing that this show is making a whole swath of people relate more with the devil than with God and wondering if this was the plan all along? 🤔 🤷♂️

Lucifer was right the whole time.
Maybe but it doesn’t change the fact that lucifer is a complete monster with no moral ambiguity whatsoever on his side.
And thus a television show with fiction. :P
@@thesmilinggun-knight9646 monsters weren't born they were made

I wish Lucifer and Michael played a bigger role in the finale. Seeing them make peace and fight against God then rule heaven together would have been soooo good. Especially after rewatching this episode that really humanized Lucifer. It sucks that they just made him into a sarcastic villain again after this
He is a villain
I felt really bad for Luci because all he wanted was his fathers love
All Lucifer ever wanted was to be GOD and become more powerful then him and that's where he made his first mistake. Lucifer will fall and rot in hell when it's all said and done and that is something he already knows.

“God wanted the devil” such big signs right there. What is the point
when you are the one that literally created everything a being can comprehend then you are always both the hero and the villain.
2:49 Haha Sam defending Lucifer is the biggest character development, especially considering their relationship since Season 5.
13:00 it's funny how the angels and archangels don't look in the mirror when saying humans are flawed murderous when they themselves and god are both the same. a quote would be "you are what you create"
God and Satan going through a Dr Phil session 😆 had to love the humor of this show
Now i finally understand why Michael and Lucifer chose the vessels they did, now you understand the story of cain and abel and why Dean was able to relate to Cain, why Cain killed his brother, the good son going down the road of good intentions, now the speech that Lucy/Sam makes at the end reflects the speech in the final season.....ITS BRILLIANT....
Lucifer has daddy and auntie issues
Doesnt everybody in this fallen world have daddy issues ? That's why they are destroying the family and making sure all the kids are educated by the state
Auntie?
@@thedrinkinggamemaker9749 amara, his aunt...damn the darkness being your aunt has to be tough
i have “do you have any idea how hard it is to argue with your father when your father is god” stuck in my head ALL DAY
This is why I hated what they did with Chuck at the end. All of this good development and it went out the window so he could be the final boss.
I remember when this show was about hunting a supernatural entity that had yellow eyes, later confirmed to be a demon, and to stoping the apocalypse and the rise of Lucifer.
"Pretty sure that's all fathers"
Yep sounds about right
Nice little Forest Gump easter egg.
"Dear god, make me a bird so I can fly..."
Default Name I caught that as well 😀
Interestingly, the entire God and Lucy therapy scene raises so many logical inconsistencies.
It's all about pride and ego. As a writer, I can sympathize with that.
Kind of ironic that Lucifer in Sam's body is wearing an all white suit, which white is synonymous to being pure. Also ironic that Dean said that he'll always say no to Michael, but in season 13 he doesnt.
Micheal calls lucifer ‘little brother’ but lucifer was the first born😅
Sam when taken over by Lucifer can kind of look like he good play a good joker! When he smiles he reminds of the joker.

Lucifer literally has tortured human souls to the point of turning into demons, then had them do it to other humans. Then all those demons went up to Earth and caused lots of messes. I mean..... where does he get off claiming to be such a victim? Have we forgotten what he did to Sam in the Pit?

But still, I want to believe that God had his own reasons for doing this. Even Amara (her sister) thinks that God is not bad and that he has his own reasons. 3:21 when he tell god and Lucifer “yeah I lie and tell Sam I’m sorry all the time”
I know he only did it for three episodes, but Rick Springfield did a real good job portraying Lucifer
That moment Lucifer realizes
Oh shit he did love me
I read this book the Revelations of Lucifer the Divine and how it painted Lucifer changed my whole perspective of him.
I love how Lucifer talks to the demon during the exorcism all normal lmao

So many juicy, well-written monologues in this show, must have been fun as an actor to do a lot of these
11:18 how the series will end. Except that isn’t Lucifer it’s God
Satan's actions are a bit hypocritical, though. You can't argue for free will yet simultaneously blame your actions on someone else.

I wish he was the original Lucifer’s actor he was so good
Rick Springfield played Lucifer brilliantly.
I'd love to see more of this actor.
To this day, I'm not sure I approve of the God heel turn. Not because I'm religious or anything, but because he had never really hinted at a bad nature in any of Kripke's seasons.
wow Lucifer talking to the angles in the body of castiel he sounds so much like the body lucifer has been most of the show
All those recent revelations really do put a whole new spin on the events from the earlier seasons, and indeed on Lucifer himself...

You should look at the Winchester's when Lucifer asks them you ever argue with your dad when your dad is the God!
25:50 "Hail to the king (eyes turn red)

It's crazy to know that lucifer was right about god the entire time 8:42 how he really was just controlling everyone with lucifer just wanting to walk away but micheal couldn't realize he was just like everything else that god made puppets with strings.

I was wrong. It was a well-written and well-plotted series. I was still a big fan till the whole God thing showed up, but I still watched it to the very end like I did with Angel. Thanks, Wayward Winchester !
It is SO OBVIOUS when Kripke is writing the Devil versus when a hack writer is. I hate all of SPN post season 5.
Can’t wait to see the talk between Lucifer and god on the Netflix series
14:36 - When Lucifer was talking to Dean it was like it hurt him when Dean said that, almost like he was talking to his brother who said something very similar to him.
Lucifer may be evil but it’s not entirely his fault. Especially considering Chuck wanted this all to happen. He wanted to lock Amara away, he wanted the Mark to corrupt Lucifer and he wanted it to corrupt Dean so that they would unleash Amara so that he could come play the hero.
They always blame god when the person is responsible for their own choices.
This show is so crazy it makes a monster from hell into kind of a person we love
