@@169abr no it is not. Not sure your reasons for saying that but it probably makes no sense lmao. The coyote is the superior engine in every aspect (talking about the 3rd gen coyote)
@@Berto-1117 the roadrunner is a coyote variant, it’s just got forged pistons on top of the forged rods/crank that come Gen 2/3, the fastest stick car in the world started as an ARP studded but otherwise stock Boss 302 RoadRunner and he held it at around 1300whp and it took it just fine. It also had CNC’d heads to go on top of it, compared to the regular but still damn good Coyote heads. @@169abr yes i know what a roadrunner engine is, im talking about making actual power 1k +,the cam reversion issue is something you rarely hear, if you mate a 10r80 to a gen 1 or 2 theyd be faster, 10r80 just has more gears and shifts really fast to keep the car in the band, i wouldnt say its carried by the 10r80, there are 2k+ hp mustangs mated to sequentials and perform at the same if not a better level as acrs of similar power. 3rd gen coyote motors are really over engineered
The cost alone to add the accessories makes it worth it. Not to mention, it's hard to find. If you keep it stock, it's well worth the extra. If you plan on changing it up, i think the PP1 is better. And the GT 350 Vodoo, is apt to major issues. I like how it triggers GT performance pack owners. And there is a lot more in a Mach 1 than just HP.

Eh...It's tough. I work at a Ford dealer and have had the pleasure of driving multiple. In my opinion you could easily get an entry level GT, upgrade the tires (Mach 1 handling pack has 315s I believe), and the suspension and keep up. The decals are minimal, the fake fog lights look stupid in my opinion. The interior, aside from a Mach 1 badge it's hard to tell what you're even in! The handling pack wheels are sexy though. If you're going to run your vehicle on the track and have the available funds, of course the Mach 1 is worth it...but would you pass up a GT350 for it? :)

You can tell me I "don't know the product" if you want, but I've owned 8 mustangs in the past 20 years, including an 03 cobra, 08 Saleen, and 2 different 5.0s, and I've probably forgotten more than most will ever know about mustangs. 60+grand for a Mach 1 is a suckers deal and ripoff
Excellent video, Bro. Thanks for doing it. I agree with your insights. My 2018 6 Speed GT had 460 hp stock. The 2022 Mach 1 has 470 hp stock. Not worth the upgrade to anyone owning a 2018 to 2021 GT stock vs stock. The Mach 1 is a beautiful ride, but good luck getting replacement parts down the road for any "exclusive" cars like it. Any V8 Mustang can be set apart from other Mustangs. It's easy to do. A couple of minor tweaks and a stock GT will be just as good as a Mach 1 and won't cost as much. I hate the stock MT82 transmission as well, so that got tweaked first. Yeah, it won't be "an exclusive trim" but will still be unique. My Mustang stands out from the crowd, and I know yours certainly does. Even if I didn't know what was under your hood, it's still a beautiful car you have. 🙂
I agree it is beautiful. I’ve got an all black Mustang GT Premie PP3 manual and had the Roush Performance intake and chip installed for a grand adding 20+ more horse onto the 460. I constantly get compliments wherever I go, some wanting to drool over it. Much better deal, more Performance and just as beautiful.
There's a big difference to me between the normal GT with PP and the Mach 1 with the 6 speed manuals but there is a small difference between the autos. I personally think it's worth the step up to the Mach 1 but it is true about availability. Even now the availability is very rare but I just sold one a little over a week ago only for sticker but most are still charging 5k over sticker
Im with you on that Drake it ain’t worth it. I have the GT Premie, PP3, active exhaust, magma ride, active spoiler, 6 speed with track pack 50G’s out the door. It’s black/black. I dropped a Roush Performance chip and intake filter in it and it’s bad ass. I road race on track days and it is hot when those magna ride’s go to work for you. Yea the little rice burning go karts make up a little ground on you but when you enter the straight aways and go balls out you can just forget about it. Nuttin but awesome!
I’d be surprised if this guy actually has enough clout to get anyone, much less a dealership to allow him to drive their GT 500. It would be a crap review like this one anyway.
If the car market wasn’t the way it was and you were able to get them at a discount I would say yes. They’re just too expensive even tho it’s a better car in every way over the GT. Especially if you want a manual.
The track? The 350 mustang and Shelby GT 500 have a class action suits against them for over heating and shutting down on the track. Is this the same deal?
Not gone lie I wouldn’t go from my PP2 to a base Mach 1. If I were to get one it would absolutely have to be the handling pack with a manual. Otherwise I don’t think it’s worth the money over the pp2. Now over the pp1 yes possibly. But if you have a pp2 then the Mach 1 handling pack is the one I’d spend the money on. And I have to have recaros. I can’t go back to the regular seats after having recaros in my car. Also I got mine for 50k I’m not sure it’s the extra 10k is worth it. I’d just spend a little more and get a 350.
Get the Mach 1. Consider its resell value in 10-20 yrs. The Tremec is a super plus. Being close in price to a GT premium loaded, it’s obv what to get. I mean look at the terminator SVTs from 03-04, those are so desirable right now 20 yrs later, for its nostalgia. Even getting your hands on a low mileage rare 03-04 Mach 1 with that shaker hood 👍🏽
@@natural-born_pilot you didn’t ever need much to make those terminators street pounders. Few bolt ons a pulley and tune and you’d be potentially at 600+ no problem. Those car were best for that. You can’t do anything to NA cars for serious power, you need a power adder…and turbos and SC will run you up to 10k on top of the price of a coyote or Mach 1. Especially if you go in deep with all the supporting mods. Believe me I have an 04 2v and let’s just say that thing was far from stock well over a decade ago
Racer-X once again you've done a awesome job but I have to say the dealers have made it where the average person couldn't afford it I'm sure it's a nice car but you can't hardly put anybody in the back seat so I'm going to stick with my Mopar. All though if someone is going to race it you can definitely mod these things to the moon and back. God bless and as always be safe 👍
I wish the Mach1 still had the voodoo engine I’d still say a Mustang GT PP1/PP2 is a better deal. Coyote engine is a beast but definitely don’t compare to that Voodoo engine in the sound department. Overall great cars through and through! Can’t wait to get one soon!
The Mach 1 is closer to GT350 without the Voodoo than just a extra 20 hp in a PP GT. Shares the subframes and extra cooling from the GT350. The tremec manual. Upgraded manifold and intake. The tremec over the MT82 is enough for me
I really like this car with the track pack and a 6 spd. But damn why couldn't they give it rear brembo specially at that price point. I can get a ss 1le for about 14k less. But man that car looks good. I think the question is the price point compared to other cars. That car needs to be manual and handling package. Other than that its a sticker kit.
i would say off the looks and bragging rights alone yes but they really should have did a bigger hp gain like 525 or something another ball dropped by ford
Only if you have the handling package on your Mach 1. I have a performance pack and have done suspension work to it to make it a practically GT350. I also like the spoiler and the tires on the performance package. I definitely love the mach 1! It's a good car for sure. It's basically a pp2 with a couple more upgrades
Not worth the extra money in my opinion I picked up a used 2020 GT with the pp one package 401a loaded out ran a Mach One and I pulled a car link ahead of him. Oh and I only paid 46k for mine and it only had 1,400 miles on it.
I just bought a 2022 mustang GT California special performance pack and I’ve driven the mach one I felt really no difference in the two I actually like the looks of the California special better. And besides that up until recently Ford was trying to hit you up for like an additional 10 grand premium to get one at least in my areas they can stick that mine has a 10 speed automatic magnaride Brembo brakes a little different wheels than any I’ve seen anywhere has the side scoops like a Shelby GT had back in the 60s x of course the active exhaust which I wouldn’t buy a Mustang without lol I like that loud sound.I don’t know if you’ve seen one of these yet they have been out for a few years but the very few of them around not quite sure why I hope I don’t find out is because they suck lol!
What are you worried about sucking? A GT/CS is probably the best all around trim of a GT you can get. Loaded interior, badass stereo, and a really nice comfy seat.
Oh you actually test drove a Mach 1 at the track to see the difference between the two? I had a PP GT and it’s night and day difference ON THE TRACK! Of course it’s not going to seem much different cruising on the freeway lol.
In my mind , my mustang GT is Mach one. I have the performance pack with Cobra Jet; comp 2 cams, and fob. Lower one inch in all four corners, short shifter for the M82 transmission. I really do love driving my much cheaper Mach 1.
100% this car is worth it considering I own one I didn’t give you the right one that’s a base mach 1 That’s not the handling package Which completely drives different You also forgot when you get the Handling Package you get the camber adjustable plates you get bigger sway bars
I wouldn’t get one. Might as well just get a used Shelby. You’ll get a better car that’s going to hold its value better also. Everyone knows what a Shelby is. The same can’t be said for a Mach 1.
The GT auto would be a better car in a straight line. No human can churn the gears better. On a track, the Mach 1 is the better car. It's built to be a baby GT350.

Mustang faithful won't care, I'm sure you've heard the quote, "I'd rather push my Mustang than drive a Camaro" lol
Mustang takes boost camaro doesn’t
@@teemeaux3830 no need to go down modding rabbit hole. And if that’s the case then get a gt for 20k less!!
@@gtrance3567 regular gt has limp mode and a shitty 6 speed. If your keeping it stock get one of the camaros. Boost? Go for the mustang. If your buying an auto stang and only do digs or rolls get the gt. If you want manual and don’t want limp mode get the Mach 1.
Very nice, luv the down shifts
Thing does sound good lol
The manual shifting itself is kind of a chore. Not sure if others don't mind or notice but I expected is to be a softer to shift from one gear to next. I am sure it's otherwise an awesome transmission.
On 7/2/2022
22 Mach 1 for $75,000
22 GT premium for $60,000
Way more than what your pricing.
Market ups are crazy. This is in Las Vegas Nevada
I had an '04 Orange Mach 1. Loved it.
Really it boils right down to the name "Mach 1". Just the name sake to why folks wanna get a "Mach 1". But to me my PP1 2018 has all the bells and whistles I optioned the magna ride for both on and track mode.
2004 was last mach 1
The new mach 1 has gt500 diffuser and exhaust
I think the Mach 1 is the ultimate 5.0 Mustang
Boss 302 takes that, the RoadRunner engine is better than any Coyote.
@@169abr I agree. The Boss 302 was special, there is nothing special about a Mach 1
The Gen 3 engine has cam reversion issues, some oval-ish cylinders that Gen 2 and 1 never had and it’s also carried by the 10R80.
I bought the 2022 Mustang GT with the Handling package and Dinamic stability also variable Exhaust for $7000 less . This summer I'll do cold air pak tuner kit. Theres another what 20 HP . Y will not miss the Mock 1 I promise you ,and the Thousands of Extra $ in your pocket Doesn't Suck
Yes, the manual is the way to go for this one. Thanks
That exhaust note... glorious!
Most definitely
I have a Mach 1 but I love the sound of the GT manuals 🤷🏼♀️
You don't even know the product.. typical...
@@aesir0784 Typical...sure! Thanks for commenting. I commented to support RacerX, why did you?
@@392Reviews I HAVE both cars. I UNDERSTAND what went into both of them. YOU? have a GD channel and act as though you know. You're a hack. Go play in traffic.
@@aesir0784 yet everything he said is absolutely true...you could easily take a base gt with upgrades and smack a Mach 1 for less money. Only thing the Mach 1 has worth anything is the 6 speed tremec. other than that you're paying for a name.
@@jrvbamafan1 Yep, just a badaid car to sell suckers on until the new platform comes out.
I have a Challenger SRT 8 and would not trade it for ANY other car BUT that's a nice ride! Thank you for NOT reviewing another golf cart electric!
Getting the Tremec is worth it if not getting the auto. Needs the shaker hood.
@@natural-born_pilot Awesome! 👍
Thanks for the video.
Awesome video buddy 👍
The Mach 1 is a great car but, I don’t think it’s worth the extra money for just 20hp more.
Lincoln needs to come out with an AWD supercharged version of the Mustang, & call it the Thoroughbred, Stallion, or Secretariat!
Mach1 starts $58k MSRP dealers wants $62k + Handling package $64k + MSRP dealers wants $70k+ That’s what I have seen.
Mach 1 allday i glad gpt me a 2022 10speed auto.
For the manual transmission yes its worth the premium. I wouldnt pay a penny of ADM for a Mach 1 though. Dealerships are insane
I passed on a deal several months ago on a Handling Package Mach1 because they wouldn’t budge on a $5k dealer mark up. 😖

Can you review a GT500? I would like to hear your thoughts coming from a Mopar. Great video.
I don't know racerx my GT works perfectly fine for what I use it for don't think I would want to buy a Mark 1
They reduced the Mustangs hp by 10 hp, why would they do that?
It's just a resonator, chop it off and it comes back. Emissions BS is coming to bite a lot of people in the ass.
The track? The 350 mustang and Shelby GT 500 have a class action suits against them for over heating and shutting down on the track. Is this the same deal?
Theres a mach 1 at koebler ford in Queens NY ,with a $15k markup ,There GT's have a $10k markup and the eco boost also a $10k markup Nuts
I just spect one out for 66k..... crazy. I just dont think these cars are worth that kind of money
Yes I agree.. I would spend it on the GT350R .. but thats about it
You’d be much better off with the GT Premie and a couple of mods not to mention money ahead.
@@RacerX9 gt350r’s were 75k+ dealer tax in 2017. Plus 5 years record inflation seems like a good deal
Great video bro
Long live the internal combustion engine. Save our muscle cars from extinction.
If your into the classic name and nostalgia but that sometimes isn’t Performance and speed on pavement. Can’t see the worth.
Awesome!
It's worth it if you are keeping it stock. If not and voiding the warranty anyway you should have bought a GT especially if its a 10R80.
The tremec over the MT82 is enough for me
The Voodoo IS what makes the GT350, its unfair to take that out of the equation.
Love this comparison.
10:13 ooh, now I'm hungry lol.
You dont miss anything lol
Damn man! Looks good,sounds good… BUT! Needs a Hemi with a 2.4L supercharger😊 Nice upload X.
what do you prefer the mach 1 or the charger scatpak?
I need a luxury version with more head and leg room.
i would say off the looks and bragging rights alone yes but they really should have did a bigger hp gain like 525 or something another ball dropped by ford
If you want a ten speed just go regular gt if you want a manual I’d say spend the extra bread for the tremec
Agreed..
Coming from someone who's not as good driving a manual. Mach 1 in taking the 6 speed with handling pack and Bullitt in taking the 10 speed.
Only if you have the handling package on your Mach 1. I have a performance pack and have done suspension work to it to make it a practically GT350. I also like the spoiler and the tires on the performance package. I definitely love the mach 1! It's a good car for sure. It's basically a pp2 with a couple more upgrades
It's funny all the extra stuff ford makes you pay for that comes standard on the camaro ss. Blows my mind. And don't @ me, I have a 2019 gt premium.
Camaro can’t take boost
For $60,000 plus you would think they could at least give you leather seats. It may seem like no big deal but come on.
Not worth the extra money in my opinion I picked up a used 2020 GT with the pp one package 401a loaded out ran a Mach One and I pulled a car link ahead of him. Oh and I only paid 46k for mine and it only had 1,400 miles on it.
Sounds like a wicked deal for sure
The cars have 2 different purposes. Mach 1 handling pack is a track / auto cross car.
I’m calling bullshit on this one 😂
I’ve been looking for a new car but I don’t know if I should get a Mach 1/GT premium or if I should wait for the new s650???
GT PREMIE, manual, PP3, you’ll be much happier
The Tremec alone makes it worth it.
wonder if people would spend 60k on this car or buy a used stage 3 roush for 45k?????
It made me cringe a little bit when you pronounced TREMEC as "Tree-Meck" lmao. Love your videos though 😂
Agree
Oh you actually test drove a Mach 1 at the track to see the difference between the two? I had a PP GT and it’s night and day difference ON THE TRACK! Of course it’s not going to seem much different cruising on the freeway lol.
The way he says Tremec makes my brain hurt.
Its brutal right
In my mind , my mustang GT is Mach one. I have the performance pack with Cobra Jet; comp 2 cams, and fob. Lower one inch in all four corners, short shifter for the M82 transmission. I really do love driving my much cheaper Mach 1.
Can you do a lotus evora gt
100% this car is worth it considering I own one
I didn’t give you the right one that’s a base mach 1
That’s not the handling package
Which completely drives different
You also forgot when you get the Handling Package you get the camber adjustable plates you get bigger sway bars
If getting a manual, yes. Auto? Pp1 will do.
I have a roush air intake, so technically my GT makes a little more power than the Mach 1
I think that the magnaride shocks set it apart from the Mustang GT.
You can actually get the GT with the magnaride .. something Ford is now doing
