39 inch is dumb as it’s the same resolution as the 34 inch. Trash imo
@@antoniocusman1970 Yeah that's why i am considering this one. Curve on a 32-inch (Alienware) is maybe just a bit too small for it to be curved, and 34-inch is a nice sweet spot so i also have desk space left for a second screen. This resolution is also nice for decent FPS (am now using a 4K screen, so i will lose some sharpness, but it's always a trade between FPS and resolution).
Looks great! I actually prefer matte finish OLEDs when it comes to monitors as I sit opposite a window though after using last year’s 45inch model, I don’t think I can go back to any of the smaller versions 😅
They recently updated their 45 inch models with the new brighter oleds, I remember the 45 inch being awesome for immersive gaming 🔥

@4:24 i just ordered for my wife the 27ich LoL version, it looks awesome. I still have to wait for an Oled monitor that fits my needs of 34" and not cruelly curved and bulky like thisone. The Samsung with their crome issues and quality issues are also no option.

I really really want to buy this monitor, i'm upgrading from asus VG249Q 1080P. The only thing that really worries me is the screen burn-in. that scares me a bit
I recently purchased a lg 32 inch nano ips monitor for my ps5. Thinking of returning it and upgrading to oled
OLED is a nice upgrade from ips 🔥 I’d recommend if you have the budget, a 4K 32 OLED for a better PS5 experience

I had the LG UltraGear 34" IPS LED one, picking this one up tomorrow from best buy and my dumbass didn't realize the curve was a lot more aggressive on this monitor. Hopefully it's not too crazy. I'll update if you want me to.

How about the text clarity? Is this better than previous generation oled monitors? so.. text reading in this generation.. Excellent? just good enough? / or not recommended?
For me its way better than previous generation OLED monitors. Its between excellent and good enough in my opinion.

Text clarity is great with a better sub pixel layout, and looks fine even with the matte finish to me.

I prefer the Matte look of the screen, the glossy one suffers from micro scratches and loses that depth of black to a more purple color with some light
That’s very true as well. There’s pros and cons in any type of display. I love the glossy displays, but matte has its upside
The purple is the qd oled panel if the LG Woled was gloss it wouldnt have the purple look to it.
Since LG has been going with Matte, any glossy monitor at this point is QD-OLED. I could be wrong though 😅
Matte is terrible
The matte haters are pretty annoying. I agree that matte loses a little clarity but I also think it has other pros that make up for it. I like gloss and matte for different use cases but I bet the vast majority of people that are so loud about LG’s W-OLED coating haven’t even used it for longer than 3mins at Best Buy. They should channel some of that anger towards Samsung bc their “glossy” coating is pretty awful compared to TV’s. 🤷♂️

@@FIREWOLFTECH after going from 2k 27inch to 4k 32 inch, i wouldnt even touch it. I did try the 45 inch version and that was horrid with the PPI.
Yeah the ~82 PPI was very low 😅 Gaming still looked amazing though.
Still, this 34-inch isn't bad, but since you're used to 4K 32-inch, its a harsh transition.

Personally for me, I would go asus PG34WCDM because of the better USB Hub, KVM Switch, USB-C DisplayPort, and better built in gaming features

@@Asbel- I haven't tried the ASUS yet, but I'm pretty sure they use the same QD-OLED panel from Samsung. If that's the case, then it really comes down to features and price
@@FIREWOLFTECH LG has been making oleds since beginning . Ive had nothing but LG monitors and tvs. One is 12 or 13 years old and no dead pixels still like new. My oled tv by LG is 3 years old with no burn in and i fell asleep with it on many times. Its like hard drives made by western digital versus samsung. Go with skin in game/experience/r&d. Samsung does tvs
Hi fire wolf , i bought this screen aswell few weeks ago and i wonder somthing why HDR not looking so great like it should look , spesioly when i enable HDR on movies that have support to HDR there is tiny difrence on the colors,but nothing spesiol that feels great, i wonder if you tried to run HDR movies and have the same problem as me, aswell what profile you run HDR on , since seems HDR looks difrente on each profile that you chose
I’d recommend using windows HDR calibration and then I personally like to increase the contrast on NVIDIA control panel to 70%

I might be the oddball here,but I prefer the matte coating because glossy ones ruin my sense of immersion. It makes me feel like I am looking out a window, especially if there is just a tiny bit of glare. Also, I live in Florida where it's constantly sunny. I have a 42" 4k tv I use for some games and it seems to catch some glare no matter what. Way to often I can see my own reflection in the TV and it gets very distracting, versus my 27" ips with matte that catches no glare. Currently this monitor is on sale on Amazon for $750 so I hope to get it soon..
I don't think you're an oddball, almost all monitors are matte for that very reason ! If you do get it, I'm sure you're gonna love it 🔥

I’m assuming you’re referring to the 4K OLED AW3225QF. It’s a beautiful QD-OLED and as long as you have control over lighting, you get better clarity without the matte coating. Colors also looked better
4K is also sharper than WQHD resolution.
In my opinion, if you have a strong GPU, I would go for 4K OLED, the difference in size isn’t that much, and you do get the added benefit of higher vertical space with 4K.

Im currently aiming at the Asus PG34WCDM but in where i live its costs about 1659$ , but then i came across this LG monitor which basically has the same specs as asus and costs about 1173$ where i live , What would you recommend? Do you think i should pay more for Asus Or just stick with LG ?
U should buy the lg because that monitor doesn't have issues with ghosting cuz asus tuff monitor have noticeable ghosting in their screen.

Definitely this one; even though you’re getting a matte coating, you’re also getting the latest OLED Technology from LG which is brighter, better subpixel layout for clearer text, and has a higher refresh rate of 240Hz.
It might be a hard switch because of the matte coating, so I would probably wait a newer ultra wide QD Oled monitor

The -b only means that it is black. They are the same exact model, it's just LG always adds either -B or -W

Does anyone know how this compares to the Samsung g8 Oled?
This has a higher refresh rate at 240hz vs 175hz, text clarity is a little bit better vs the 1st gen qd-oled in the G8, the G8 has better color brightness but the difference isn't that big. Other than that size and resolution is the same. Also the G8 has a more subtle curve so it's better for general use

How well does the 34" work with a XBOX Series -X ?
Honestly, I wouldn't get this for console because of the ultrawide screen. I know PS5 does not support 3440x1440p (21:9 ultrawide), guessing Xbox won't either.
It should be the same with the PS5, you can either play in a wide stretched image (21:9) or switch the aspect ratio to the native 16:9 with black bars on the side. If you’re using it just for series X, then I recommend getting 4K 32 OLED

The PS5 would output ultrawide and you can change to 16:9 with black bars. Watch the PS5 segment of the review
The Asus beats this for sure, with the only thing going for the LG is the less gamey look. Always good to see options though!
LG also has a bigger brand recognition as well. But I agree I would go for ASUS for the usb c , kvm switch, and better color options

There's a noticeable difference in resolution and sharpness between 4k (137ppi) vs 3440 (109 PPI).

its brighter and has a matte display which should be better during the day. The Refresh Rate is also higher and has a more aggressive curvature.
I think the difference in display coatings (G8 OLED semi-gloss) vs this matte coating will be something you'll have to see in person to really decide if you like it better or not

For me, I look into the features of both to see what I really need and want. Since both use the same LG WOLED Panel, I personally would choose PG34WCDM because of USB-C, KVM Switch, Better gaming settings, and I believe the heatsink is larger.
If you don’t need most of those, then go with the cheaper one :)
same monitor,is it normal when i play game fullscreen and set the game resolution as 3440*1440 like shadow of the tomb raider,but there is awalys black border beside the game.i also tried some game resolutin named 21:9,same thing happened.but when i play a 21:9 movie,everthing just came back to nomal,there is no border when i play 21:9 movies.i see that 21:9 is 3360*1440,the monitor is 3440*1440,but still the game resolution is 3440*1440,the movie is 21:9 ,how cames the opposite?
I’ve never played that game, but if it has black borders, then most likely the game doesn’t fully support the 21:9 UltraWide.
Best way to find out is trying Warzone or Fortnite (free to play), these are games that I know support the 21:9.
If you see no black borders, then the above is probably true.

For using only Series X, I would recommend a 16:9 monitor instead. A 32-inch would be a better option in my opinion.

@Firewolftech Used it only like 30 minutes so far and it's gorgeous! The matte is not as bad as I expected like at all! I'm use to glossy cause I have an OLED TV but this matte is just fine. It doesn't even take away from anything much at all, if any the most mild of milds. Light years better than any IPS or VA. Well worth the 750$ I paid. I would have got the Asus version over this though if it had that good of a sale tbh but I am super satisfied with this and the 800r curve is beautiful as well! Ultra responsive too!

oh snap i can put this on my monitor stand arm cool i like that this has PIP AND PBP non ofyou that review this monitor know what pip and pbp is you can use this monitor as a single monitor instead of owning dual monitors i might go for dual monitors because i stream . and use a dual pc setup & i use my consoles ps4 ps3 ps vita that i modded that i can record game play on and my xbox 360 my wii u and switch istill use i only use my wii u for modding too play game cube games it my game cube player now i also use my ps5 and series x

Just dropped the 39-inch review. I like the larger display despite having less pixel density. Its still good to have choices
You're not going to hit 240 frames per second at 3440 x 1440 in an open world game at max settings, especially with ray tracing. 😊
