  • Here’s how desperate some Toyota dealerships have gotten to aell 2024 Toyota Tundras, Tacomas and Sequoias. Huge discounts and very low interest rates. Between several thousand dollars off (now often below invoice)… dealers are pulling ALL stops to try to sell these things. People are voting with their pocketbooks though… they are not buying.
What would it take for you to want to buy a 2024 Toyota Tacoma or Tundra? Are you onboard with the 2024 Sequoia? Crazy to see even the top trims (I.e TRD Pro and Capstone) sell at discounts and incentivized rates.
Whats the best deal you’ve seen on a new Toyota Tundra, Tacoma or Sequoia?
Thank you for watching as always! Please consider Liking and Subscribing if you haven’t already, your support means a lot. Thank you!

My local small Toyota dealer has 8 Tacoma's in stock right now and they are being discounted $2K online. May not sound like a lot but this place historically is lucky to have one or two Tacoma's on the lot and those are usually less desirable trims. They also have 22 Tundra's which is unheard of for them. IMO the discounts don't really matter because they've raised the MSRP's so much that even with the discounts it's still way more expensive than 1-2 years ago. It's sad to see what pure greed has done to Toyota, products are way worse and prices are outrageous, not to mention what Toyota has allowed the dealers to get away with the last 3-4 years with price gouging their customers.

The auto manufacturers don’t have a say on what the dealerships can price their cars, that’s why it’s a Manufacturers Suggested Retail price. Toyota doesn’t produce as much inventory as the US auto manufacturers. Toyota is the number one selling company here. They keep their inventories low which creates a demand. The dealerships take advantage of low supply higher demand. Cut out the middleman, the dealerships and go to direct sales like Tesla does.

When you actually look the competitor’s incentive, its actually way superior to what Toyota gives you for the Tundra. You can easily get 10-15k off or more from dealers of the big three. Toyota dealers needs to be offering 15k minimum off if they want to move their inventory because its not moving as is.

The way these trucks are priced it wouldn't matter if they offer 0% financing. I wouldn't pay 80 grand for a truck to have it worth less than 1/2 that in 4 years and the way these things are built they are going to be pretty junky at that time. Getting the 3.5L V6 is one of the two reasons I got my 2023 Tacoma ACLB TRD Off Road January 2024, the other is the Access Cab doors. My Dad and I were out picking up supplies for the apartment we have to renovate today (22June24) and I drove by a brand new 2024 Tacoma Xtra Cab SR (probably 4x2) and thought he/she (it was parked) paid more than I did for a TRD OR.
I’m trying to figure out a way to add a 5th Gen 4Runner to the house. My biggest regret was selling my 2022 4Runner TRD OR-Premium w/KDSS & MTM with only 950 miles. I was doing Rideshare driving and the 12mpg I was getting, killed me @$3.86/gallon (Nov 2021 Costco Honolulu gas price).

People are finally starting to listen to what we all have been saying. At the current MSRP, it’s just unaffordable for most people, when you factor in other financial obligations. As I have said in the pass. Taking care of one’s family is more important than some temporary gratification these vehicles will bring you. Along with the recalls that are occuring . I have said it in the past. Let them sit on the dealership lots and rust before you buy one. I like the Toyota brand without ever having owning one, but I believe with these newer models they may have overplayed their hands. They will either go back to the drawing board and fix this, or watch their reputation for reliability and dependability continue to take a beating.
