Jeff you must never sit still; I can't believe how quickly this is coming along. As someone who is stuck in the throes of inner-city Sydney life, I dream of going somewhere a bit more remote and spending my time reviving old classics like this. Inspirational stuff
Your body work videos are always fun to watch. Your problem solving skills are awesome 👍
This is therapeutic. I did this stuff for decades and need to take it up again as I head into retirement to give me some useful satisfying things to do. Next tool you need if you don't have one is a sandblaster.. Would make that parts cleanup a lot more thorough and quick... I like using glassbeads instead of sand for most things and it leaves a nice finish.
Jeff, please be careful when using those tools, especially when you're working in fast-forward.
Love the colour of that weld-through primer!
Man, that's so cool that you are damn near at 200k subscribers.. your channel is so underrated. I've been watching you for years and love seeing the progression. It's nice to see you finally making enough waves to get sponsors. Keep it up Mr and Mrs Jeff (I originally started watching because of her 🤣🤣🤣🤣💗)
Love seeing the rust being repaired
Thanks mate. I really enjoy this bit :D
You are doing an amazing job, Jeff. Its been a pleasure to watch you over the years. Your talent and commitment are second to none!
Your attention to detail and skills never cease to amaze me. Well done as always Jeff
Nice pointing over the left hand soulder for the link!!!! 🙂 🙂
Haha. First time for everything ;)
Love it!! The F-Truck is coming along well. Love watching the metal work solutions.
you have the most patient wife in the world............
Ace work as always Jeff!
Lots of work for a small part! looks great!
Wow Jeff, tremendous work 👍🏻
Fabulous effort as ever!
Great to see as ever.
All hail the Mysterious Algorythm! Ciao Jeff and Signora Jeff from Italy
Complex work well executed..
"Cardboard aided design, transfer to 2mm steel, etc." also known as the Nik Blackhurst method ;)
Admittedly, I’m slightly jealous of your 100% metric hardware setup! 😅 … wish the same could be said here, but situations didn’t always allow! Great job Jeff, nearly there with the rusty stuff 🫡👏
Half and half would drive me crazy, which I believe was still the case on some of our local Ford and GM offerings until probably only a decade ago.
We know you have a lust for rust and fitness Jeff...😁
What about the internal reinforcing foot that is “above” the body mount ? Or do you do that later ? Really enjoying this series Jeff 👍
If you mean the part of the back edge of the hinge bucket that joins to the outer skin. I didn't realise I forgot it until I was editing, and I have to go back and join it :D
Hi Jeff, the three of the four corners are spot on, it's getting better and better.
Cheers 👍💪✌
"You don't want to mix imperial and metric on a car" americanautoindustry has left the chat 🤣
Complex work - but you nailed it Jeff!!
You can continue using a piece that starts buckling...you bend the buckles out ( removing it to flatten it might be the best way ) and then either shrink that area abit ( wouldn't hurt if you own shrinker ) and rehammer it into shape...at worst you can weld it up if it tears and grind it into shape...metal is malleable enough to rework a " few times " before you start over completely....even if you fail...you can cut out that area and weld in a small patch that you prebend to fit perfectly ( than might need a slight buck work still )... patience and practice is the key to metalworking....
🇨🇦🤓🤟
It seems you missed a little bridge from the reinforcement brace for the hinge. From the deepest lying mounting point there used to be a connection to the fender mounting point
That German license plate, such a funny one, made me smile. Also, I like the 911 at the end.
Brilliant work brother, you and your wife have an unreal show ,love it
You really restored that very nicely, nice to look at! 👍🏻🙂
Great series on your custom truck. Picking up a lot of useful information. The Mrs. Jeff info at the end is highly informative and entertaining.
Metric rules!! 💪🏻
As always, an amazing craftsmanship, it's always a treat to see your work 👏👍👏😊
G'day Mr Jeff,
Beautiful work, man.
✌️ Peace from Melbourne/Pakenham.
Top Job, Again👌🏻🇩🇰🇳🇿
A fully metric truck cab? What would old Henry Ford thought of that. 😉
Fantastic work as always, the process is so satisfying despite the intricate pieces you are hand fabriating. A true master Craftsman
Coming together nicely now, great Job!
Outstanding, Jeff. You'r the man!
Love your new project and the other ones, please keep us also updated on these.
Your work is always clean and smart 👏
Nice work Jeff
Hey up mate Sunday morning is now complete thanks
Mate your metal work has come so far along, great effort mate we’ll done!
Nice, like it
While I love this and the both of you, I'm just having a hard time wrapping my mind around this truck. It's a bit like when the BOM guys went from Binky to a huge lorry. Just me, I know. I used to get up at 4:30 for my usual digital obligations and then on to Homebuilt to see how the rusty Alfa was doing, or the orange Porsche. I even stayed glued to the silver 911 and the bright red paint on your Mom's MGB. But I just can't get on board with the truck. I'm not going anywhere, I like you guys too much for that, but I'll sure be glad when this build is over.
I need filming tricks from you. Today, I managed to shoot 3 hours of my arse hanging out! No matter how hard I try, my arse is still in the shot.
Love rust repair videos!
I’m surprised you haven’t used the spot welder yet esp for those new panels🤷🏼♂️
good job Jeff 👍💪
Jeff 5:00am May( Sun) 26/2024 Toronto Canada Time! Yup, you got to stay in shape for the "Little Mrs" so this Creative Party never ends! Thnxs! Dean( Soul)
For that hinge bucket, why not cut and remove some of the metal in the corners, shape the metal around the mold, then welding the corners together?
Blah, blah, blah- yadda, yadda, yadda!
Get on with it man! We all know we're only here for Mrs. Jeff 🤣
If Jeff has to do it twice, how many times will us plebs take, ha ha.
Great work jeff. Are you confident the cab will be the same shape when your finished. I'm not talking hexagonal, but how close do you reckon to the original design?
It‘s not Berlin - it is Bremen! 😂
You did see that the German numberplate says Home Built By Jeff 911, right?
Are you Aussies not all related to Chuck Norris?? What you need to work out for?? 😂❤ Greetings from South Africa!
Love ya work mate . Gearing will help the 4.2 n turbo but ..... big engine working easy for a long distance hauler?
2:09 locked in on Jeff's hairy legs😂😂😂
You are the master
Would adding a sunroof make fixing the roof easier?
Possibly, except that I hate sunroofs with a passion ;)
I avidly watch all of your videos - and love the effort you put into getting even the 'never to be seen again' parts...
Because of that I do have a question, but PLEASE don't think it's a criticism:
At 12:37, the 'other side' hinge bucket reinforcing bracket can be seen to have an extension that appears to be bolted to the outer skin. I didn't see you make similar on the side you are working on. Is it that you deemed it to be unnecessary I wonder?
Any plans for adding some crash protection?
Jeff, are you using a shrinking hammer? If not, might make a good addition.
As a man in the UK building a yank car i can confirm half and half imperial and metric hardware is exceptionally annoying
HB = "Hansestadt Bremen" not "Berlin". Berlin is the biggest town in Germany and it has "B" on the numberplate. BR Jens
Great work as always Jeff, did you miss the tab that joins the hinge reinforcing to the outer panel?
3 of 4. 5/5 😂
I thought I'd ask what motor thks mate
Shouldnt that lower hinge support be attached to the inner pillar like the top hinge support is id fhink it needs it to stop the pillar cracking
Looking really good. Bodywork not really my bag but I can certainly appreciate the work. Cheers.
PS. Do you generally like “some meat in the back”?
👍🏻👏🍺
Would preheat the hinge buckets with a heatgun would help prevent buckling?
Not really. You would need to get it red hot to make a difference.
If Jeff keeps snickering in the background, Mrs. Jeff is going to hit his “engine” with a nice right cross 🤣

We all need someone like you on our side.
What a star 👍👍👍
Golden Retriever??
😂 That plate tho! BJ 911! I'm dying 🤣❤
Like AVE, tappy tap tap!
Please don’t do a Patina build… with the work you’ve done, a beautifully restored bright coloured truck (much like your other rides) with airbrushed accents would be sooooooo cool
wow you look like my brother-in-laws identical twin he's called Kane Grima, oddly he lives in Australia as well, you're not related are you.
Home Built ?? 911
Could have been a great vid, but the adds spoilt it for me. I won't be watching again. 😕
You can fast forward the adds, just takes a couple of seconds.
I love how upset people get about an ad in a video that they watch for free.
@@HomeBuiltByJeff Not any more, mate..! 👍🏻
