Honestly Jeff. … !!! You run rings around any guys on those American restoration shows. Well done champ!!!
Enjoying this series Jeff. Some real world stuff, and reminds me of some stuff I have planned to do shortly ;-)
Wow, Mr Jeff. Superb craftsmanship, well done. Loving your work, you legend!
Ryan said he'd be happy to come over and give you a metal shaping class! You have to invite me down. He's the kind of guy you HAVE to have a few beers with!
Greetings from Canada. You have a very well equiped shop and excellent metal working skills. Your project is off to a great start.
From trashy to retro cabin👍😮😊😅
Power unit looks cool, but they need to add a cooler compartment for a couple of lemon squashes.
Love your methodical approach to tackling the truly rusted portions of the cab.
Excellent results, Jeff! Fascinating to watch how you can visualize the pieces in your mind, then fabricate them so well…what skill and talent!
Such a fast turn around on the cab! Nicely done buddy 👏 look forward to seeing you English wheel out the fresh roof and then start with the new frame! 💪
I am looking forward to learning a new skill too :D
You're getting good at this stuff Jeff, much respect.
Well done Jeff, Ciao from Italy. This one is again for the Mysterious Algorithm
You made it look so easy to repair all that rust, looking forward to seeing paint on it, so you might as well tell all of us what colour now, Jeff😁
You have a great eye for detail Jeff.not short of talent either, such good work...:)
Great Video Jeff
You are doing a Awesome job Jeff. :)
if you brush on some "rust blast" on all that red rust to inactivate it before you weld through prime it. it will last a lot longer
Jeff the Magician 😜
Great progress Jeff. Looking forward to what you do with the roof.
Jeff " Man of Steel" it's going to look good as a Hauler! Dean( Soul) Toronto 5:22 am ( Sun)
And cheers from me in Tasmania 8.00pm Sunday evening
Fantastic work Jeff 👍
As always, absolutely immaculate 👍😊👍
Excellent work! You make it look so easy, which, I suppose for you, it is now that you have done so much bodywork throughout the years
Great work Jeff
Definitely fantastic… great work!!
Great job sir! Super excited to follow this project!
Fantastic work jeff. Really satisfying to watch this coming together!
Makes my Sunday morning 👌
I must say jeff i wait your videos every sunday now with the franken hauler carnt wait to watch
Cheers
Nice work. Those rust repairs are looking very solid!
you really improved a lot on metal fabrication compared to when you started the Alfa
19:40 No the flat sides don't give it the strength, the flat sides are like the web on an I-beam the top and bottom plates take the compression/tension. Leaving off the flanges leads to inward deflection and web cracking as the load oscillates.
You always make my Sunday mornings
Looking good
Looking good Jeff. Keep these videos rolling out. Regards from the UK 🇬🇧
That's a big milestone on the project! Carry on
Absolutely incredible work as always. I for one am super excited to see you blend the paint with your airbrush skills vs... a full paintjob!
Well Jeff the frankenhauler is getting repaired faster than me. 8 weeks crocked in Hospital and only just finding me feet.
Keep it coming it keeps me going.
Dave
Great 👍
Sunday morning with Jeff and Mrs. Jeff. Just what I needed. You're making fantastic progress, Jeff. Im always amazed at your commitment and talent.
Great team you and Mrs Jeff.
Love watching your work and how you tackle each problem as it raises.
You're flying through it Jeff! Do you want to go over and give Bad Obsession a kick up their backsides?
Fantastic work as always, amazing attention to detail. Cant wait to see the Alferrari on the bed when its finished. Have you done a quick video of what the bus looks like now before its down to the chassis??
Please do ice blast it and recheck if you’ve still got rust. At least before the painting begins. I’m keen to see you do a bright red fully restored cab.❤
Wow, you have mad skills. What a transformation from when you started!
If the thread distorts you could just put a tap through it
That indeed looks great and you always finish everything beautifully and thoroughly, really beautiful craftsmanship 👍🏻🙂
Li-ion more stable, good luck
High quality work on those corners. Exellent..
Amazing
This is just great! Your skill is truly amazing. I didn't catch why you did not finish repairing the floor. Will the upcoming sequence of repairs be roof, doors, fenders, hood, cab floor, paint?
Nice going Jeff, greetings from South Africa.. 💪💕
G'day Mr Jeff,
The repairs are coming along nicely. I can only hope that my rust repairs that I'll be starting soon can match yours.
So thanks for sharing the progress man Peace ✌️ from Melbourne/Pakenham.
Great job Jeff !! Very well done as always!!
Very good reconstruction work Jeffo
Very curious to see how you match the patina with the new patches!
Love the truck build, specially this stage! Great work as always.
I'm not going to lie Jeff, I'm here for the Alfa. But enjoy your fab work.
Well done Jeff. Looks great.
Looks like you forgot the hinge bucket tab on this passenger side too.
You know, this project has me thinking....
I've always wanted to do a Transit or Sprinter van with an alloy tilt tray like Matt Urch. But finding a long wheel base trayback in good condition is.... hard.
Never considered a Coaster or Rosa.....
Fantastic!!!!
Have you considered a sunroof?
Like the old 90's DIY fittment ones?
Would be brilliant on a hot day and let a lot more light into the cab?
Nice progress, a lot of talent and genius, but also a bit boring tbh. Hopefully some action with the Alfarrari will come soon 💪🏻
Wow Mr. Jeff, the panel beating talent! ... Thinking WAAAY back to the Miata / MX5 days...
Your skillz are now reached mach 3. Them's some really complex shapes. Top job.
Maybe not a show car. lol Not meant to be. So looking forward to the camper idea.
Was waiting all day for this episode. 🥳🥳🥳
Part of the reason the aftermarket repair panels fit as they do is because of the significant differences from one OEM panel to another. Back in the day, the tolerances were massive compared to today’s standards.
My little company makes repair panels and we find that a perfect fit on one vehicle isn’t perfect on another. It’s frustrating for us and frustrating for the customer who thinks it is a simple bolt on.
Thanks for managing expectations, Jeff.
All the above said, that panel fit horribly.😂 Nice work!
Haha. I am totally realistic with these things. Like you say these old cars had very loose tolerances. At least if the shape is close it is far easier than making the whole thing from scratch.
Another great job Jeff.
Everytike Jeff calls something a rusty mess it makes me realize how rusty the NE USA really is. As far as we are concerned this things been "clean" lol
You make it look too easy
Amazing transformation
Great work as usual Jeff
You’re brilliant 😮
Looking good 👍🇦🇺
Ford time !
Have you thought about getting a spot welder? I am thinking about getting one. Main reason is, if you have to take out a pannel after you mig weld it in place is so much harder.
I have one, but in this case I prefer to mig it.
👍💪
Tip top
👍🏻👏🍺
With all the body work and rust repaired, how you retain the patina looks?
Hey Jeff do you ever wonder what is the current state of the vehicles you have sold, like the 240z and the bug?.
G'day Jeff ,
The shrinker stretcher that you point to on the stand in your videos have you possibly got a link to that please.
Are you going to sandblast the cab?
Jeff, what about the crack in the firewall????😳😳
The firewall may need to be cut so I am leaving it for later ;)
Hey Jeff, the splatter from the MIG doesn't burn through the tape on the thread? I would have thought it did. I've never done that myself
It generally bounces off, where it will just stick to the care threads and weld to it.
Good job Jeff! May I ask what is the name of the gold colour primer you use?
Link in the description ;)
How about a sunroof?
If I didn't hate sunroofs with a passion it could be an option ;)
Why don't you chuck in a sunroof for the cabin? Who doesn't love a sunroof? I guess people with leaking sunroofs, but besides them.
A ragtop sunroof would be sweet but the curved shape of the roof would make fitting one wide/long enough to get the full effect tricky.
@@Jonathan_Doe_hey up mate did one early 90s on a ute, was a really hot day and used a concrete cutter to chop roof out and suddenly loads of fresh air, then to keep the unwanted out, welded some square mesh in, only had to have two sections of it to get the correct curves, worked great and made a roll back canvas thing to keep the rain and snow out
I hate sunroofs almost as much as I hate convertibles ;)
4 and a half minutes of skippable BS before any real content starts...ouch...understandable, but ouch...
I didn’t even skip it lol, actually seems like a pretty decent power bank. Beats people pushing “better help”, NordVPN and those stupid scent flavoured water bottle things constantly.
