I’m 64 and have been listening to John since before they let him use his real name…😂🏆 Key West Intermezzo was playing in the delivery room when both of my daughters were born, one in Bloomington, Indiana in 1993 and the other one in Charlottesville, Virginia at the UVA hospital in 1996. 3 years and 600 miles apart and it was the first music that they both heard. It’s one of my favorites now for that very reason…I Saw You First !! ❤

And I'll never forget it, because I prefer Soul/R&B and but I did say, "This white boy can sing, and he's got some soul too!" Didn't know at the time that he wrote all his own stuff too!

As soon as I left thew office I pulled it up and have been playing it since I left. My late husband bought me all his albums/cd's when he found out how much I love his music. This song reminds me of the love of my life and there isn't a single moment that doesn't go by in a day when I'm not thinking of her. She's the only reason why my heart still has a pulse.

I love this song!! And, you don't hear it much..I say that alot..it just reminds of..a lazy Sunday afternoon..& a Sunday family dinner..or sitting on the porch..know, it has nothing to do with the song. Just the mellow (ness) of it..soft flow..music 🎶 I'm 47 years old 🎤 -it's a feel good song..

Seven years ago tonight my husband died after a terrible fight with cancer. Left his house one night and my purse was on top of my car hood and and I only realized it when I got home. He found all of my spilled contents for me and this was the song that was playing when he called and told me he found everything! From then on it was our song and we danced to it at our wedding. Sonny I’m finally glad you have the peace you were never able to have here. We miss you a lot❤

It's my favorite song. In the early 2 thousand's I played a gig in a lowell Michigan bar by the river were the lowell show boat was, and a young guy possibly not even born when this song came out thanked me for playing it. He told me it's his favorite song to. I even do the sax solo note for note on guitar. I love this song.

With their help and if you are willing to dedicate yourself to the curriculum you can possibly still learn to read , comprehend and retain the required information to be able to talk to the grown ups....

That is a shame that you hear bad stuff about him. around 14 years ago I went with a friend from ohio to Indiana for a child's benefit at a small bar. the boy had cancer. I can't even remember the name of the map dot of a town at the moment. John Mellencamp walked in and started playing a set for the benefit. no one knew him. no one asked him. he heard about it and showed up, played and donated. he played until they were shutting down. very nice guy and gained a fan out of me for life that day.
