Who is listening in 2024, your badass too ❤
That would be me, at 61 years young. Age is in the mind.
2024 indeed. Much love
Dude 5 times in a row lol
I love how Joe sings in flat, meloncony vocals to allow everything else to happen!
And anybody that knows Joe knows his guitar ability, but again, he let's everything else just flow!!!! Maybe the greatest low profile Joe Walsh anywhere!!!
Hi ways & by ways. ^5
What a voice. What a band.
It's Joe at his finest for me -and I love Joe!

Agreed!!!
This will always be to me the end theme to The Warriors(1979). The heroes at the end of movie walking into the sunrise on Coney Island
"Sorry about that Warriors, I guess that all we can do, is play you a song"
It’s him! It’s…the Warrior! He shot Cyrus!
It's a different version of the song, essentially the "original recording", in The Warriors. But Henley, Frey, and Azoff were no dummies and knew they HAD to record it themselves for The Long Run!
@@charlesheld3082 I think there was another reason, Walsh didn’t have anything written for the Long Run album and out of desperation probably suggested they re-record this
Im with you...The Warriors is my favorite Movie and this Song playing as they walk down the Beach is bloody awesome...Great Movie, Great Song, Great Band :)
When music was music and musicians actually played an instrument.
For real , and not a bunch of stupid rhymes. They Don't know what their missing.
Eagles will always be my favorite ❤
They were in their PRIME
Thank God we grew up with music like THIS
Great song, but the Eagles were coming apart at the seams. It sounds like they were all pretty miserable making that "final" album.
AMEN
Thank god it's recorded and should exist forever.
Thank God they kept together to make this masterpiece 🙌
Amen to that!
These guys, just like Zeppelin, The Who, Kiss, Fleetwood Mac were a totally strong band in general!!! Talent all over the original lineup!!!!
Very true but this is not the original Eagles line up. The majority of the 'Eagles' that we know and love, song-wise were composed/recorded between 1971~1980. Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner were original members and also very talented, just not represented in this, the latter era of the early Eagles. The Eagles first greatest hits album was released in 1976. Timothy actually came quite late to the band (1977), replacing Randy. Interestingly, Timothy replaced Randy in Poco, years earlier, prior to their Eagles tenure, but that is another interesting story.
Kiss?!?! 😂🤣😂🤣🤣
Yes, original lineup Kiss was amazing and fantastic 👏!!!!
Kiss were so good they had to wear makeup as a gimmick to get noticed. 👌👍
That's hilarious, they are the highest selling American rock band in history 🤣 !!!!! Try again
"Warriors . . . come out to plaaaa-aaay!" The Eagles are right up there with ANY of the most iconic rock greats that ANYONE could ever mention.

this is rock music? sounds like pop to me
Joe Walsh really took the eagles to another level with his moody song writing and amazing guitar parts.
@russellrawlins no Don Felder did that before Joe arrived. Joe just took them to another level. One of These Nights has them already leaning towards a more rock sound.
They were this close to going full country music until Joe...that was close.
Alto!
He did..this isn't the original version ether..both are equally good.
@@_stardust62 not true. The song One of These Nights is nothing even close to country. And their more country-rock music was great. You’re not an eagles fan if you don’t like their first albums
R.I.P Randy Mesiner.. another loss and a True Super Group of the 70's and 80's
JFC that sucks
First time I heard this was with a bunch of High School friends back in 79' as Seniors watching 'The Warriors', thinking this was the coolest movie, which for its time really was. Good times, so so long ago. Will be 63 in a month and now the phrase 'Life is short' is starting to hit home.
Don't sweat the small stuff. Tell your family and friends how Special they are to you before it's too late. Don't let 'Anger Politics' poison your mind.

You are very wise indeed, I agree that we must appreciate everyone in our lives because life is way too short. Having been a senior in a Boston Public high school in the WORST section of the city, the movie "The Warriors" even scared us a bit. I think Ajax would certainly have agreed that this song is the balls!

@GmaPati - and the reality of the situation was that when he was writing this song, he had lost his wallet and his driver's license was in his wallet from what I have read. There is also a video where Joe explains Life's Been Good and he says that he had lost his wallet is where the lyric came from.
I agree. Love Joe Walsh
Just an incomprehensible amount of talent these men have. One of the best, and most underrated songs from their catalog.
Same thoughts here. Eagles young and at their peak of harmonics and musicianship. Firing On All Cylinders. And then you add in Joe Vitale for his contributions = perfection.
To be fair, it's a Joe Walsh song. He wrote, recorded & released it, then redid it with the Eagles.
@@DogGuy19 Yes, but this version is so much better with all of that harmonic talent around him...
Underrated lol.
I can’t tell you why is my favorite song from them. It reminds me of Amanda from Boston a little bit. Throws me back to my childhood.

For a guy who readily admits to being virtually "toasted" 24/7 during this period of his life, he sure brought a truckload of creativity to the table. Joe Walsh is truly one of the all time greatest axe men.
Gold never tarnishes. Regardless of disputes, the music was brilliant. The Eagles just pure class.

I Wish that song was 3X longer. They just don't have music worth listening to anymore.
Thats why I hit replay at least 3x when I watch it💪👍
Glad someone invented records!
Ah but we do! And it's all here on RUclips ❤
I know, I know and yes, I agree.
When they rock it in a concert, they take that 30 seconds outro and stretch it to about 5 mins long, so that Joe and Stu (beloved touring musician) can solo hardcore like 2 mins each.
I.e. the Eagles AGREE with you! This song is best when WAY longer! :)
My childhood would not exist without the Eagles. Thank you for allowing you to be part of my soul
Joe Walsh and Don Felder two bad asses swinging the axe.

Joe Walsh is so talented, many don't know this is a Walsh song, not a Eagles song. It was a smart move when the Eagles joined Joe Walsh in 1975.
The band had a “you wrote it, you sing it” policy. It works beautifully.
Yes, Joe Walsh came in and added a bit of steel to the Eagles' music which raised it to another level. A legendary guitarist and an underrated singer.
You got that right! Joe added just the right amount of Joe to the mix. I love the guy. The very first concert I saw was Joe Walsh. He had just left The James Gang and he pulled off one of the best live performances I've seen, and I've seen many. He oozes talent!
Sort of both really, he wrote it along with Barry De Vorzon but it was on The Long Run - 1979.

Eagles have always had an official topic channel on here. It's just that before now, they didn't have much on it. Primarily due to Mr. Don Henley being a greedy POS and not letting either his back Eagles or back solo catalogue on here. To the point of where in his testimony before a Congressional committee during Covid he said that his record label dedicates 16 employees whose job it is to hunt down third party uploads of his songs and have them removed, which he said was a challenge in itself as a content creator because after you have one removed another shows up. Not sure what's changing Mr. Henley's attitude, because typically a greedy artist's material doesn't usually show up on here legally until they're six feet in the ground and their surviving family members are left to have to make ends meet by sharing their back catalogue on here because they can no longer rely on concert reunion tours to do so. That's what happened in Prince's case. I'm sure everyone remembers what a greedy POS he was. To the point of where he did everything he could to keep his back catalogue off here.
